Yeah, I tried to haggle them down but ended up paying full price. I think I showed how much I wanted it. 😂

Considering Steve Millen lapped a 911 GT3 RS @ 1:33.14, I'd say that is a respectable lap time for sure.
The Mini JCW GP is an impressive package no doubt, but something must have been going on in the lap time you mentioned. Maybe it was raining for Steve Millen, or he was on a VERY off day. For reference, Randy Pobst ran a 1:27.22 in a 2015 GT3 RS.

N.C. Yeah when they went to the subscription thing I always payed for it for head to head ignition and best drivers car which is still on but isn’t the same. Now it’s just a bunch of shows I don’t even watch. We need to start a petition to bring back the originals
Would have liked to see it driven around Laguna Seca to compare with the rest of the vehicles they have driven in this series.
As a Mini fan this is just awesome. Looks like a few tweaks could be done to the suspension to shed the time even further, haha

Very impressive speed through the balcony for sure! Still a bit iffy on the slats but its a very neat car. Love the "heroic" adjective to describe the wing!

I’ve got a 2011 JCW, the 208 HP version. I really like it but I sure wouldn’t want the suspension any stiffer for daily driving.

This might be an evidence that the track time should be taken with a grain of salt - Mini JCW GP is in the same league of Honda Civic Type R and Mustang 2.3T

Please give us comparing time lapse with other cars like Honda civic type R or go far just to understand is it really better than these always the same or less

Its for U.S car regulation...the wheels stick out and Mini didnt want to make to actual fender flares to cut costs

I would consider a GP purchase but the styling is a bit much. I do agree that those fender flares are bunk.

It looks like he’s never driven an fwd before : you take the curve tighter by aiming even inside and doing so I widen the radius of my curve by crushing the throttle : simple power drifting of the front .
The VW golf is a small car as well but it's 310 hp 2.0L turbo can be reliably tuned to 540HP . I'll take the VW . I wish you guys got the Cupra Leon in the states.
Kermit the Frog all cars can be tuned but you need to take into consideration suspension breaks dampers balance weight ETC

I gotta look again, but I thought the Type R lapped this track in 1:19 or so.
I was way off. Type R did it in 1:34 on stock tires, 1:32 on 18s.

My 2009 Mini Cooper S is nothing but trouble. After putting a bunch of money into it I have it parked because it overheats. 300hp is 10 years too late.

No manual transmission, what a joke. Mini is so out of touch, their cars are so big now and look like cheap knock-offs of what real minis used to be
Don’t be put off with the gearbox this thing is awesome and quicker than any manual box and as for the size of the car well if the new mini was the same size as the original then bmw wouldn’t sell many due to safety etc . The Gp is the best mini ever produced.
@@ZappBranning hard to believe that, of course the shifts are faster and for shear numbers this is the best gp but I’d rather have a 1st gen gp with the supercharger for overall enjoyment. What’s more, if this new gp is about numbers bmw should have done more, not sure this bests a civic type r in any comparison. Really not sure who their target market is with this one other than die hard fans of the newest new minis
