I have a carport (rather than an enclosed garage) as you seem to. I always considered this to be an impediment owning a Tesla. How has the experience been for you- is it fine as long as it’s plugged in? Also, do you have any experience with Tesla mobile service locally? Thanks!
Hey, you are welcome! The whole first year we parked outside all winter long just with the tarp carport, and a 240v 32A charge connection on the garage, worked great. You set your desired departure time for the AM, and even in -30 the car battery is charged up, warm, ready to go. It’s great. The biggest key is having a good charging setup and leaving it plugged in when not in use. Mobile service has been wonderful, just book on the app and the tech will message back n forth to get all the details figured out, and then they come work on your car at your house. We had air filters changed, hardware 3 installed, brakes cleaned, things like that. The only real impediment in Sask is lack of fast chargers on certain routes. That didn’t stop us from going Saskatoon to Flin Flon couple summers ago just for kicks, but we had to stop at campground for a few hours to charge partway. You’ve got it pretty good with all the chargers in and around Regina. For Stoon, The HWY 16 chargers are gonna be a game changer coming this year. Lemme know if you have any other questions!
