The b&w footage was shot during their performance at the Monsters of Rock festival at Castle Donington in England, also in August of '88. Two kids were crushed to death during their set.

When TH-cam shows videos are 14 years ago that’s usually when the video was uploaded to the site. In reality it’s usually way before that. This song came out in 1987.
They are playing a festival and at the time they weren't headliners yet. Thats why the crowd size is massive and why its daylight. They were among the earlier acts at this festival and tour. They were still openers, but that quickly changed after this album caught popularity and became headliners.
Even though G n R did become famous in their own right and did eventually pack stadiums, most of the footage here was from them as an opening act for Aerosmith I believe. And the even bigger crowds are from a HUGE rock festival in the UK, where they were just one of many bands playing the show.
Oh you're going to have a great journey through the endless great Rock/metal bands of old This is definitely a top band for sure... Amazing energy live, you gotta do a live GnR reaction one day, seriously good live
If you're a drums girl, the three you're going to want to look into are John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, Keith Moon from The Who, and Neil Peart from Rush. Bonham's my personal favorite, but there's no wrong answer with any of those three. If you do check them out, make sure to include their live solos as well. For Keith Moon, though, you're going to want to check out their live performance of My Generation on The Smothers' Brothers, as that's the one that left their guitar player/song writer deaf in one ear.
that was early evening, they were openers for aerosmith in new jersey. there is also footage of mannys in manhattan as well as a show in donnington, uk
This video is footage of two concerts done on the same day on two different continents by Guns N Roses. They played the Meadowlands in New Jersey (colored video) and Dunnington in the UK (black & white footage) on the same day.
Mia, My dear Young Lady, I remember this Song when it came out. When the Chorus is sung, It takes me back to my Days when I lived in Panama. That is where I saw Guns&Roses live for the first time.

I'm sure you have heard the song, Through Fire and Flames. It's the world's fastest rock song. If you haven't I suggest you do. We're talking thousands of notes per minute. But there's a girl that drums to it. Junna, she's from Japan and it's 5 minutes of insane drumming. She's as much an entertainer as drummer. She's the most entertaining drummer I've seen every. Just type in, Junna through fire and flames, it will pop up immediately.

You know the song Welcome to the Jungle for all the sporting events it's played at. That was their first huge hit on their very first album. The jungle is LA as they came there to try to make it music
GN’R was the first band I ever got into, and around the time of this video they were huge. It’s still a banger and it still goes hard. Michael Jackson had the 'popular-guitarist-of-the-moment' play the lead solo of a song on each of his albums. Eddy Van Halen played the lead solo on "Beat It", Steve Stevens - lead guitarist for Billy Idol played the lead on "Dirty Diana" (which is my favorite MJ song) and among others, "Slash" played the lead solo on "Give In To Me", which you saw on the video you watched. "Welcome To The Jungle" would be the next logical song for you to react to. Many of their other popular ones are power ballads and slower tempo so you'd probably want to check out something like "...Jungle" that's faster paced.
Axel Rose actually has a voice that can shatter glass. In high octave pitch and I think low octave pitch too. And most guitar solos differ from their albums. When they play live. That guitar solo can be like 20 full minutes of just one song out of a 15 to 20 song set. That's a couple hours of playing with interludes here and there I think to keep them fresh and people to get beers. It why the shows take place during the day. You don't know if someone's gonna play for too long and over extend their time slot. And that doesn't include the opening act bands. And their sets. Including set up time. Great reaction.
