What Ur thoughts on a turbo killer cam and cnc heads from gm motorsport and a dominator 3500 stall+flex plate kit I've bought this to fit to my ve l98 6l80e not fitted as yet but its coming order I only found this channel after ordering ive bought some ur must do items to throw on top such as barbell backing plate ect little concerned now as wanting around the 500 hp mark should i do pistons rods crank ect ect what is the limit with n/a build u guys seem pretty on the ball .
I own a 13 Caprice ppv l680 btr stage 2 circle d 2800 stall kooks headers flex fuel I'm at about 430 who having a tough time finding a reliable tune. Thinking about adding an intake if you might recommend one that'll give me about 15hp and I'll be done at that point, thnx
Hey mate, I’ve got ve ss ute similar build to that, but it made 418hp on the dyno. My specs were stage 3 btr cam and a 2500-2800rpm converter. Full engine bottom end rebuild with ported heads etc. Do you have any clue how this one in the vid made different hp? Coz I’ve been told mid cams and big cams in auto make less than 450hp.
Who ported the heads? Biggest difference would likely be the port and/or the compression. We took 40 thou off these heads to get as much comp back in as possible. Outside of that dyno differences, differences in the tune, we have even seen over 20hp difference in the same car back to back just with changing tyres. 418hp is very staunch I wouldn't look into it too much
@@benjamincole659 nah mate my btr cam is very fast when driving and sounds nice compare to other Cammed cars I’ve been in. Just whoever made that poor joke has no skills ahahah.
@Boost Gumps ported heads were done at active automotive the cam I chose was a the btr cam and the wheels I had are new forgot to mention, so probably that’s why it slipped.
Flycutting and plugging dod towers all happens prior to final clean etc. thats all just dummied together for flycutting. It all come back apart for final wash and bottle brushing etc

We have a joke here in the states it goes "get a BTR cam if you want to sound fast get a different cam if you want to go fast"

Would you get away with not fly cutting the pistons on the 1287 instead of 1288 cam with 40thou off the heads?
