Slowly hoarding a stash of cash to get pretty much all of these goodies from you guys 👍 if only i could get the rig there from vic without trusting someone else with it so you guys could do the work
Good gains from before and after dyno runs which is the main thing for the customer. I’ve seen some 20-35HP difference in some ‘similar’ looking exhaust systems, so being the exhaust that the customer gave you to fit is the main difference in this combo that where I think the missing 20HP is, not the tyres.
440 rwhp , well over 600 fwhp NA ! Back in the 80’s and 90’s that would be impossible! Especially on such a small cam! Also the air has been hot atm ! It is summer ! But brilliant gains from a few bolt ons !
Wow that's an awesome result. I have the 1249 and it's a bit disappointing. How's the low end torque and is it ok as a daily driver? How much did you take off the heads?
Awesome work as always fella's I love how you always do stuff properly no matter what.. Just wondering your thoughts on having only the tranny cooler and not the radiator in the system when say it's a 35 plus degree day and you're in heavy stop start traffic with zero air blowing over the cooler, hot air from the car in front and around you . Are the Thermos really enough to keep a lid on the trans temps and I'm wondering have you guys actually verified that yourselves if it is? Keep up the great content.. Cheers 👍
We do ptd check on every engine and record it along with valve events and chamber size. Quench never changes as we never take material off the block deck and always use oem mls headgaskets
@@BoostGumps so you don't pull spark plugs after and check with a endoscopes or borescopes you know the difference between them both,,trying to understand why you would you get more power and less power from the same set up or is it lobe separation what do think about 108
@@James-f8n1n each engine does vary slightly in PTD, im talking 2-3thou, but ultimately our process doesnt change quench at all, so we don’t feel the need to check them all considering we arent doing/going to do anything to change it. We usually always use this same cam, its always the same LSA and we always degree them in the same. 108 LSA is pretty hard to give any feedback on without knowing duration. For the cam duration we usually go for 108 is extremely tight. You wouldnt get away with this duration on a 108 without flycutting
Yeah, even without those 20hp, that's still a pretty good upgrade from whet it was making when it came into the shop. :)
440-460 same same :)

I'm sure the owner still will be stoked as soon as he drives that thing home! I know I was 😅

Loss through drive train is generally 100-120 with the 6l80
Yea be closer to mid 500 HP @ Flywheel.

Are you boys checking your Quench every time you pull a motor apart I see black top piston but you don't show after you rebuild it i wonder 🤔

What is the life expectancy of those trunnions kms wise?
We are yet to pull a set out of an engine that show wear at all. The CHE kit is the best in the business
