I think I know what the problem is here. I suspect that during the on-board process they are not only assessing your driving, backing and pretrip skills. I think they are also evaluating your personality and attitude as you will be an ambassador of the Walmart brand. In other words, everywhere you go and every interaction you have with others will be a reflection on Walmart. So I think they might want drivers who are generally happy, respectful, considerate people with a positive attitude. Im not saying that you yourself are not one of these people, but I just think they are secretly evaluating each candidate on more than just their driving and backing skills.
I can attest this is probably accurate. When I went through onborading I got so nervous I would fail I had a complete mental meltdown. I had quit my job too (which my recommendation is is use pto, vacation, whatever before you go just in case) This made me super nervous on Friday. I almost failed again. Now even though I didn't fail they almost didn't pass me. The CDT had a meeting to discuss my standing. I think it was the fact I created my own pretrip guide with some classmates and printed them out for everyone to use that helped me. (I still have it and email it to anyone who wants it) I spent the week teaching others the pretrip, helping them study, etc. I was told by one cdt that my attitude and personality is what tipped the scales for me. I also know that there was a HUGE influx of drivers when the pay raise came out. To be honest, way more than expected. This did cause problems with the onboarding. I think the CDT that week were overwhelmed. @Ralph You stated some things in this video that are facts, some things are misleading to your viewers. I would ask that you and I do a video together to discuss this. If not, I understand. My videos are about helping driver clear onboarding and I have recieved 3 emails this week about this video and I would like to set the record straight in some of the things in this video.

Just passed my onboarding, red bluff CA last week. It’s pretty much what you said but my class was only 21 people, 1 quit on Wednesday and 1 failed Thursday and didn’t come back Friday. So 19 of us passed. And it was 100+ degrees we had to do our pretrip in. Was it worth it? Well let’s just say I’m glad I’m not going back to my old job.
I'm sorry to hear you had a horrible on boarding experience. I've been eoth walmart for 2 year's and it'd the best job I've ever had. You do have to slip sear for 6 ti 9 month's. 4 drivers on a 3 truck rotation. Phone policy is only enforced if you have an accident and it's hard to get steps. You have to be really messing up.
Between the government, insurance companies, and the companies themselves, truck drivers are screwed. Thank you Ralph for everything you do my friend and hope you have a blessed weekend.

Yes onboarding is stressful but it's designed to be that way. And regarding the post about character I think that is spot on. I been driving for Walmart for 3 years. All I can say is that my experience here has been a great one. Yes I had to slip seat for 9 months till I was assigned my truck. Since I had my truck, only 2 people have used my truck. The culture here is the best and I haven't had no problems with anybody.
Unfortunately I think we all have been through this and when you have over ten years of experience you have a clean record and clean positive dot inspections that don't matter to some of these mega carriers but there are companies out there that do recognize and welcome clean experience truck drivers thanks for sharing

So you said you got a CHECK for $1200. They pay you $24 and hour for onboarding, let’s say it’s 40 hrs for the 5 days that. Is a gross of $960. You said they owe you $500 for fuel travel and food. Together that is $1460, minus taxs ect. Sounds like they paid you. Am I missing something ?
My point exactly, I drive for Walmart now and it’s the easiest no pressure job I’ve ever had. This guy is just bitter and butt hurt that he didn’t pass the onboarding process. Who the hell doesn’t want $125k a year to drive a company vehicle…

So the entire time that you're with a mentor you have to be a passenger not driving? Is there any scenario when you do drive and your mentor is the passenger? Do they take your current medical card or do you have to do another physical for them?
I believe you do most driving once you cleared from safety. That’s what my friends do and once you pass on boarding and go to your dc you get physical then.
It's not really a trucking company. It's more of a retail company with a private fleet so from what I'm experiencing, they do things a bit differently.
You can make 90k or more here depends what division and home time etc. if hard worker make easy money I’m at 30k since march 1 for the year on last check.
Didn’t you hit a curb while testing? Seems like onboarding is stressful and they don’t want to tell you where you messed up during training to stress you out even more.

I’ve watched quite a few of your videos. I think you need to get over being bitter about what happened and admit that you obviously had a bad attitude or you made some mistake during that point I have two good friends at work at Walmart. I’m about to go to on boarding and it’s a good job if you learn to do it the Walmart way, your problem is that you want to do it your way you don’t own the company you want a job with the company so you learn to do it their way please stop making such bitter filled videos. You seem to be a decent guy, but you’re bitterness definitely comes out in your videos about Walmart.

They paid me $350 or so about 2 weeks ago for travel and meals I had to email them
