Because everyone is a potential customer of Walmart.....don't make them back up. Hey thank you Rich. Because of you my hubby is now a Walmart driver. He used you as a referral and has been communicating with you. (Brooksville). Merry Christmas 🎄
Most people once they get the offer letter, sign it, and send it back is confirmed in 48 hrs. Once conformed you can log I to workday and select the day you wish to perform onboarding.
I applied a month ago to Smyrna,DE and haven't heard anything. Is this common? 2nd..I would have a truck to sell. How long after the offer letter do you have to complete onboard?
Onboarding can be selected "normally" 2, 4, or 6 weeks after you get the letter. Email me at drkaraokedj@gmail.com I'll see what we can find out about your position
Well in my test drives did have room to use it with traffic and construction in Dallas I'm sure that's why they said no cruise control. Definitely a challenge to drive in Dallas for your test. But we passed all 3 times so we are good over here. Glad to see you posting videos again
Great vid Rich! Knowing the test route ahead of time (if possible) and communicate any procedural questions ahead of time can ease test anxiety! A mentor should be able to ask the examiner proper protocol even if the driver can’t ask directly.
Great video & thanks for the insights. I have really been focused on honing in my skill set towards what walmart is looking for in preparation for the onboarding process. I can't wait for an opening to come available local to me.
@WalmartRich Maine. I was originally told by HR that they wasn't hiring again until about a month out, which would be middle of January due to retirement. I checked again after posting my comment and to my surprise it's listed on the website. Going to fill out my application rn and will be dropping you as a referral. I'll email you of my completion once done. Thanks. 😊
@@WalmartRich I did! Tks. On hold with recruiting atm. Seems like the website may have gone down. It will no longer allow me to click a posting to apply for some reason.
Wow! Very interesting. I have no desire to ever become a Walmart driver, but your videos are very interesting. I get stressed by even hearing about the onboarding process! It's kinda like watching a horror flick... Not you, I mean hearing the process, Rich😂
I understand. Walmart tried to be sure they are getting drivers who care. Drivers willing to try and do thoer best. Walmart is self insured and knows drivers make the difference. Having a somewhat difficult onboarding is not just a skills test, it a way for Walmart to weed out those who don't care, maybe are not worthy, or and are willing to be invested in the company.
I will tell you this much from experience do not quit your job to take the onboarding take a vacation take a leave of absence because chances are you may not get hired and those chances are pretty high. I don’t care how much experience you have or how good you think you are. The whole thing is literally designed for you to fail and pray that you don’t get an examiner with an attitude.. Not throwing shade that is just my honest opinion
How does getting paid work when u first start? Like do you get paid for onboarding the following week or after 2 weeks, then do u keep getting paid every 2 weeks for orientation/with a mentor
Payroll ends every other Friday. You get paid that next Thursday. Onboarding and orientation pay 24$/hr. When you drive with your mentor you get driver pay
@bettyluvsjoe mentors are the guys at the Home DC that show them the ropes after onboarding. CDTs work out of the Home DC too but can be sent to onboarding or other places. Payroll ends on every other Friday. You get paid on Thursday 6 days layer. Payroll ended on Friday april 5th We get paid on Thursday the 11th. Payroll will end again on April 19th.
So driver know what to expect and can be prepared. They has been a lot of miscommunication and driver failing because they were told 2 different things by 2 different people. Do you feel this shouldn't be discussed?
Best channel on teaching how to succeed. A truly competent, caring driver.
Thank you! That means a lot!
Rich is spot on. I just passed On-boarding in Laurens SC. 14 people started, only 5 made it.
It's been less than 50% since they chagrd proceedures

Hey, where did you apply out of? I’m a Navy Vet and seen an opening for Pageland a few weeks ago, but it’s not there anymore.

I was told no cruise control while doing the test drive. Definitely something to ask before the drive.
That was not an issue when I went through 3 yrs ago. I would ask

Yes! Your attitude is key. It's being assessed from DAY ONE!
Hi Rich, email sent to you! Thanks for all you do!
I'll check it out thanks
Does Walmart approve of button hook turn? For right lane right turns?
@@MrBrianmichaelwilson as long as you don't impead traffic and it's legal where you are it's permissable

@@WalmartRich Yep and Walmart has very deep pockets they could care less about wasting money on background checks and drug tests.
