  • Hi, friends!
I hope you’re doing well. In this week’s video, I’m sharing how I used my hobonichi weeks to plan and track my recent(ish) bathroom makeover. I’ll share some considerations / decision criteria that help me scope down a project to a manageable size that fits with my schedule and budget.
When you tackle home projects, how do you plan and track your progress? I know there are a lot of digital methods out there, but for some reason, I find tracking things in a physical book very satisfying. This would likely change, though, if I were tackling a really complex project or collaborating with someone else!
If you have any feedback or requests for future videos, please let me know! Thanks for being here; I appreciate you! 💗

The bathroom turned out great! Your color selection is cohesive and cozy. It's nice to see your thought process and how you used the Weeks. The way you sequenced the video was super engaging! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so so much for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear that you found the sequencing of the video engaging because it felt like a bit of a puzzle to mash the planning + DIY content all together. 💗

Listening to your process has made me feel so much less alone. I often don't start a task or project because I don't havr the perfect plan yet. It swirls around inside my brain and I freeze
Thanks so much for your openness and vulnerability.

Yes! Even without the pressure to start the project off (it's not like we couldn't use the bathroom), I still took forever to start it. I actually had a few other iterations from 2020 that I was considering for the bathroom (that I actually forgot about until now lol). At one point, I was going to paint the entire bathroom yellow, until the paint store advised me to reconsider because yellow apparently can make you look "sickly"? 🤣 Maybe some day if we ever move into a house with a bathroom that gets lots of natural light! ☀️ Thank you - as always - for being here. I appreciate you so, so much! 💞

@@LittleCocoStudio oh yeah, nope on the yellow bathroom. My husband's bathroom is yellow and it's... Not good. I can't even look at myself in the mirror in there without it making me jump! I feel like I've aged a lot over the past year and boy can you see it in there!!
      Thanks for being my friend!

Great job! That shower curtain is amazing! You were so much more prepared than me. While you document what you want with photos and a proper plan, I purchase things which catch my eye and then try to put the mish-mash together. Sometimes it works, most often it doesn't. I love your bathroom ❤💫

Thank you you so much! It's interesting reflecting back on this bathroom now. It was one of the first spaces I wanted to update in 2020, but I was paralyzed for so long! I bought so many paint samples (seriously, it rivals my ink sample collection) and wallpaper samples, and I couldn't get started on the project. Honestly, I tend to use your approach of buying things and hoping they'll work. It feels a bit more organic that way, and easier on the wallet to spread things out! I think writing things down really helped me get started and be more prepared - at least for the painting portion of it. This was the one request from my partner because my bedroom and kitchen projects were spontaneously started without planning or warning, and I "accidentally" prevented us from using those spaces for 2-3 weeks while I was working on them. 🤭
