  • Hello, friends!
    I hope you’re doing well. This week, I thought I’d try a slightly different type of video and share a glimpse into my journaling and planning routine - during a very busy week. 😅 So if little clips of me using my journals and planners throughout the week sounds interesting to you, feel free to hang out for the next 20 minutes or so with your journal or planner. If virtual coworking is your thing, that works, too.
    What does your journal and / or planning routine look like? I’d love to hear how your routine changes, if at all, when things get super busy!
    To help you navigate this video, I’ve included timestamps below:

    I thought I was the only one who plays music or tv in background to help them focus. I can’t focus without it. Nice planning. Enjoy your videos.

      @LittleCocoStudio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you're not alone!! Background noise is key for helping me focus! Sometimes, that's white noise if I'm doing something that requires a lot of concentration, or coffee shop ambiance that a friend introduced me to a few years ago. Other times, it's music, tv, or youtube videos. :) Thanks for stopping by - I appreciate you! 🥰

    I really enjoy these kind of videos, I'm going through a really stressful period of ill health and today I couldn't even manage to write in my daily journal, so watching this helps.

      Thank you for your kind words. It sounds like you’re going through a lot, so getting through the day, watching a bit of TH-cam, and taking the time to comment (thank you 💞) is actually a lot to do on top of taking care of your health. Thank you for being here; I appreciate you. 💓

    I love body doubling and doing work hangouts IRL with no conversational expectations. I also like co-working livestreams and some types of TH-cam videos while I work for the same purpose. When I'm watching you're videos in particular I prefer to pay attention to the content rather than just letting the video play in the background. As a vlog enjoyer, I really liked this style of video and would definitely be interested in seeing more like this in the future.

      Ahh, that’s really good distinction. Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! 🥰 I can see how it is different from something like a coworking livestream. Also, I’m glad you liked this style of video. It was a nice break from my usual video filming / editing workflow, so I’d be interested in trying out this format again soon!

    This was such a pleasure to watch Alison!! 💖 Thank you so much for sharing this! I too like to plan on the couch when I'm not filming, or even in bed if I'm being honest haha. I also love the idea of a "low cooking" week! I'm going to start thinking about that for my own meal planning as the busier season is almost here. Also I LOVE your green sweater!!!! It looks so cozy 🥰 I hope you're having a good week ❤

      Thank you so much, Danielle! 🥰 Yes, we’ve been eating lots of leftover soups and curries that we had stored in our freezer and that’s been such a lifesaver. I’ve toyed with the idea of getting an extra chest freezer and making large batches of meals to make it a regular thing, but we don’t actually have space for one in our home. 😂 And thank you for the kind words about my sweater! It was a real labour of love to make, although I may have gone a bit overboard with the balloon sleeves. I’m trying to motivate myself to make another one for variety, but I don’t have it in me (yet!). Happy anniversary to you and your boyfriend, and I hope everything goes well with your new products launching today! 💗

      @@mydandeliondiaries aww, thank you! I almost went crazy while trying to make it, but I do love it. I made a few modifications, like including three button holes (I’m still looking for buttons I like 😂). I think she also has a written version as well, but I mainly used her video! Also, yum - sounds a perfect way to celebrate! 😍

      Thank you for taking the time to comment-I appreciate you! 🥰 I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this! I find what I choose as my background noise depends on my mood and what I'm trying to get done. I've made the mistake of trying to write a paper with a tv show on in the background, and that didn't go well. 😬 On the other hand, I love playing tv shows in the background while doing DIY projects around the house.

      Wow - that’s amazing that you’re at 4 years! 😍 I hope I can say the same in a couple of years. That’s so interesting about you struggling with March. It seems counterintuitive to not write anything since the point of journalling is to sort out my thoughts when I need to process something. 😅

      Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot to hear that you enjoyed it! 🥹 As for your question - yes, you got it! I like having events staring at me in the face. I used to constantly keep a chrome tab of my weekly calendar open on my desktop, which would be fine if I didn’t have 83637373 other chrome tabs constantly open to distract me. 🤣 I keep my daily to-do list open on my desk as well for added accountability (and for the satisfaction of marking completed tasks!).

      I squeeze évents and to dos in my weekly (it helps to see what can I get done when). I’m not entirely sure I like how it looks but I have to keep only my weekly open so it’s quite ok for now

      @LittleCocoStudio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Sannaland that makes a lot of sense! At the beginning of this year, I felt a bit tired of always having 2 books open on my desk, so I tried to squeeze in my to-do lists in my weekly view, but I couldn’t fit all it in :( I think my lists aww too long and I’m too verbose 😂 I also prefer daily to-dos rather having one weekly one. I might try to switch things up next year, depending on how I feel about this system by the end of this year. We’ll see!

    Meal prepping can be extremely easy and helpful. We meal prep 1 month of dinners every 4w. I don’t precook any of it at all. I’ll have to share on my channel how I do it. It gets rid of decision making for all of us. We equally added the recipes we like and I made inserts and lists for my planner specific to my needs in order to organize it. I select 12, we all help prep and we just blind grab from the top to the bottom and toss it into the Dutch oven or air fryer at 4pm every work day that my husband works. Dinner is ready between 6-7pm. I 100% understand executive function fatigue. Last week I shut down in order to survive and give my brain grace to relax and reset. Too much hit at once and I cannot focus under that type of pressure.

      I love this!! I tried planning for 4 weeks at a time, but I think it didn't quite work because my schedule was so unpredictable. The idea of having a bunch of meals that you can toss into the Dutch oven or air fryer sounds right up my alley! It's the regular cooking that we find exhausting after a long day of work. Thank you for the ideas and I would love to hear more about your approach if you end up sharing that on your channel!

      Oh, that’s such a great question! I drink a lot of coffee, and buying beans from local roasters is our treat since we rarely buy coffees out, anymore. How about you?
