    Hi Tom
    It was about £120. I had it done by Royal Steering Wheels, they do a great job!

    Sincerely thank you MUCH for the video! 2005 civic si American owner here, and I was wondering how involved it would be to replace the steering wheel.

    Mate this is a great video , really well explained and great camera angles , how is the wheel holding up now? I amThinking of getting a retrimmed leather one , seen one on eBay , so this video is perfect

      @EP3Stuff  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. It's holding up really well. Alcantara does wear quicker than leather but it's worth it. Good luck!

    hi there, nice car, I have a 2004 ep4 type r and was wondering if you could help me. cause the interior is plastic, it creeks most of the time when on a bad road surface, does this happen n yours? may just because the car is quite old and its cheap plastic, haven't had the car long. thanks.

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. Civic interiors aren't the best quality but I can't say I've got any squeaks. Are you sure it's interior? I had a bad squeak on my car and it was the top mounts on the shocks making a noise! You could take panels off and fit some sound deadening in behind.

    • @SouthRevolution
      @SouthRevolution 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeh its defo inside, on the passenger side, like the panels above the airbag, sort of like a constant quiet rattle when on a bad road surface, defo from the inside and not anything mechanical. when I tap the panels, they are quite hollow sounding and is something that would rattle when driving, ok on smooth surface, just when it gets on bad roads.

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's pretty annoying! I suppose you could take the panels off, you may have a broken clip or something.

    • @AaronFrance
      @AaronFrance 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Take the panels apart and put a cushion inside.

    Super video, with how much NM have you tightened the screw on the steering wheel?

      Hi mate. I can't remember TBH. Sorry that's not too helpful!

    Do you get any problems after installing the new springs? I want to get a Eibach set -30mm but I'm worried about it scraping etc?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. No issues at all, no scraping or anything. The -30mm setup is fine on a standard car TBH.

    I heard you should remove the negative terminal, not the positive?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +drugflix Hi mate. I've always disconnected the positive terminal and nothings blown up yet! I don't think it matters too much which you do!

    • @techpros2410
      @techpros2410 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +drugflix This only due to the battery still having a positive charge, which for safety you always remove negative first.

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers for clearing that up mate!

  • @rocketrider1405
    @rocketrider1405 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    why the positive (red) terminal removed; why not the black ?

    • @seliiiiiim
      @seliiiiiim 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rocket Rider without the active (red) the circuit is open, meaning no current can flow through the cable.

    Nice Video! What is the color of the rims? Were they painted or powdered?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      CTRTurboEP3 Hi mate. The wheels were painted. I can't remember the exact colour, it's an Audi colour though. Anthracite Metal maybe. I can't be 100% sure.

      Hey man. Yeah I love the VTEC. At the moment I'm limited to 6k rpm but once the mapping is (finally) sorted I'll be able to VTEC again!

      Damn that's good deal the cheapest I could find was like 600 but that was for the whole unit. But I'm going go this route and just buy a re stitched wheel and change over the horn and center parts
