  • I've just fitted this TSS Tuning shortshift that I bought from eBay Germany. If you look for them, the picture they show isn't the right one. £44 delivered which is a bargain! Throw is much reduced, gear changes and slicker and smoother too. Very impressive!

    I fitted one of these today - what an arse of a job! So fiddly and inaccessible! Thanks for the video, no way I would have figured it out without your instructions

      Yeah they are a pain in the ass to fit! Well done!

    I ordered one of these after watching your video several months ago. Great addition to the car and great price by following the link you provided. Makes the shift feel a lot more positive.

      Nice one, glad it's worked out! I'm just about to upgrade to a Buddyclub short shift.

      i just got mine havent installed it yet how are they? would love a video install

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Buddyclub is just another level up, more precise. I didn't do a video install as TBH it is absolutely horrible to fit. The lower cable guides are possibly one of the worst thing I've ever had the misfortune of messing with!!

    • @sweatyboizz5982
      @sweatyboizz5982 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did mine a few days ago and the shifter is really stiff and does not spring back to neutral, did you replace the white plastic balls that come with the BCSS with the oem ones?

    I just fitted one of these, was a pain in the arse because i had to take my lower centre console out as i dropped that white top part! then i couldnt get that black clip thing on! hahaha got there in the end, good video cheers!

    Hi there, nice video! Just one question, because how did you guys remove the white plastic cap/top? I've been pulling and pushing with a lot of power, but it really does not wanna come off. It looks very easy on the video, but I'm stuck here...

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Starscream Decepticon Hi mate. I used a spanner under the plastic collar and pryed it up. Took a lot of doing but it will come off!!

    Great video thanks, definitely something I'm going to be doing to mine soon! I've got quite a bit of play on my shifter, even when its in gear I can wiggle the shifter a good couple of centimeters from side to side which makes it feel a bit sloppy - do you know if its possible to tighten this up somehow in those ball joints or do you think I'm looking at a whole new shift assembly?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheJedz Hi Mate. I'm not sure on that. I would maybe look at the shifter bushes on top of the gearbox too as they may be shot. You can get some new solid ones which would take some of the slack out too.

    throws are shortened up and down only. Side to side is the same. Buddy Club SS is worth the $160. You'll be bored with that adapter soon.

    There's a fair bit of talk in forums about short throw shifters causing damage to gearboxes. How's your car been shifting since your install?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +LimaNovember84 Hi mate. Shifting has been fine. It's quicker and more accurate, lett mis-shifts for sure!

    Can't for the life of me get that white cap off the ball, any help on what you did to pry it off, you didn't show it in the video

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +OmgAdaam hi mate. I think I ended up using the open end of a spanner and pushing behind it. It was an absolute pain in the ass tbh and one of the most awkward bits!! Good luck.

    • @OmgAdaam
      @OmgAdaam 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      used a 12mm open end to get it off, i thought that was hard... had another thing coming when i fitted the actual short shifter, im guessing its supposed to fit flush at the bottom but mine seems to have a slight gap but theres no way its going any further, its all screwed on tight though, just gotta refit that black clip now

    hi Adam :) have you ever experienced sloppy shifter stick feel on the ep3 loose play even in gear ? tegwina do an aluminum Bush replacement for the rubber oem ones any possible solution ??

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Arran Kelly hi mate. I can't say mine feels sloppy but it's a pretty common complaint and solid bushes are at least getting rid of one of the weak links! Good luck!

    • @EP3Stuff

      Hi, sorry for the late reply!! I would probably say to replace the bushes at he gearbox end with solid ones would be good but the short shifter would make it feel better too!

    Hi, I can't find this part on eBay or online. Think it has been discontinued. Plenty of tegiwa ones etc for double the price though. Do you have a link for it? Many thanks👍
    Found one called MJC from Surrey. Also how come you changed to the buddy club one? Any issues with the cheaper ones? Cheers!

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. Yeah just had a look and can't see them unfortunately! The Tegiwa is virtually the same but yes, more money. I changed the to BC one just because it came up at the right price and shortens the side to side shift as well. The TSS one was a great bit of kit though!

    • @spencerd8953
      @spencerd8953 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EP3Stuff cheers for the reply, I thought it may be for side to side or perhaps slight issue. I'm comfortable with the side shifting but drove 1 with short shift and as you said it helps with reverse and reduces missing 2nd gear. Nice to see yours coming along now!👍

    Is there a way to make the shifter feel more notchy? Like with polyurethane bushings make a difference or do they make a kit for the EP3?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate. You can get solid bushes for the gearbox end of the linkages. Should help stiffen it all up.

    • @CyberScott86
      @CyberScott86 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for following up on that. Not finding much long for those bushing online.. would you recommend a kit? Thanks again and great videos!

      Hi mate. The k-tuned ones seem like a nice bit of kit - www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=HONDA&model=ACCORD&year=03%2B+ACCORD&level1=TRANSMISSION+%26+DRIVETRAIN&level2=SHIFTER+BUSHINGS&level3=&id_product=7662

      Hi mate.
      Yes I know it's just the throw that's shortened. I'm really pleased with it and although I would love the buddyclub shifter it's a lot of money.
      Cheers for the message.

      nvm, I did some research and found that the BCSS is horrible on our transmissions for daily use. I have a guy in my area who had one installed but after a year of use, it had somehow destroyed his synchros and since has installed the adapter instead.

      +Joseph Scimemi i just worded it odd..it wrks great..and if it was any shorter it would be too much
