In this session I explain the basic concepts and elements of Neurographica and I guide you through a short drawing practice. This session is for beginners as well as anyone who wants to start diving deeper into Neurographic Art (recording from August 5th 2023).
Please get in touch with me with any questions, and I also love to read any comments you may have.
Thank you.
I want to chime in that this is the BEST way I’ve “seen” and “heard” neurographic art explained. Thank you!
thank you. i really appreciate it.
I'd love to see your art pieces if you would share in my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
Thank you Antje! This is the most thorough explanation and demonstration of this wonderful practice I've come across. I appreciate this teaching!
thank you soo much for your encouraging comment. i really really appreciate it 🙏
I have been drawing this technique for several years. The meditation that comes with this drawing has been amazing for me. I love the peace of drawing it and the end results are so beautiful to me. I have small sketch books full of these drawings. Thank you for sharing it with the world. We need more people who freely share techniques for growing and transforming our lives.❤
thank you for the wonderful feedback. I appreciate it and I agree this needs to get out into the world - of course I am bound by some trademark restrictions (Neurographica is a protected method), but I am trying to share as much as I can in this way. I am glad you enjoyed the mediation as well.
I would love to see your drawings. I have a private Facebook group if you would be open to share: facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
You're the best instruction by far that i have come across in the past week since I've discovered this! Thank you for your unique take.
thank you soo much for this comment, i really appreciate it. hope to see you in one of my future workshops or classes :D
I was doing this all wrong based on other videos. I am a visual
Learned and this was perfect. Thank you for taking it slow and showing us the details in such a way it was easy to understand. You are the best instructor on this subject!❤
thank you 😊 i really appreciate your comment and so glad that my explanation helps.
i would love to see your creations if you want to share. I have a Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
What a beautiful way you have explaining all the steps. So clear. Thank you.
thank you. it makes me very very happy that my teaching lands in the right places ☺️
I love how you teach! Perfect for visual learners like me. Thank you for creating some sort of visual aid to communicate your point. Really helps. ❤
thank you for your feedback. i really appreciate it. and happy that it helps. I'm a visual learner too 😊
Just bumped in to your channel & I’m glad I did. Art has been a lifesaver to me since a child. Music is a must too & writing. I love the translation & educational fact of the arts. The view on reflection. I do it for my mental health & the beauty of balance. I post sometimes on I.g. Thank you so much for sharing & I just subscribed.

Thank you for connecting. I absolutely feel you. Yes Art in it's many forms has been such a life-saver for me.
I would love to connect on Instagram as well. Mine is @neuroartproject and I would love if you tag me whenever you post a drawing from my classes. I will reshare in my stories.
Looking forward to seeing your artworks ❤
I bumoex into your channel by chance and I was captivated and definitely will be trying to learn this approach because it spoke volumes to me and all I did was listen so I could learn. I will return
so happy to hear it speaks to you. I would love to see your drawings if you want to share in my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
This is definitely the best explanation of Neurographic Art that I’ve seen. Thank you!❤
thank you so much, i really appreciate it. My intention is to make it understandable and accessible for people 🙏
Thank you!!! Never heard of this method till today. I am an artist and have been trying to meditate, always feeling like I can't go past a threshold. I know this can take me where I need to go...inside!!
beautiful ful. Yes, for me this is like an "active meditation" and can be a great start to explore going more within. So happy you found it 💞
You are the first instructor that hasn't said "you have" to do this or that or that it can only do it one way or it's worthless. Art is supposed to be about self-expression. So thank you, i like your approach very much.
thank you so much for this feedback. yes, i don't believe in "have-to" in art. For me, Neurographica can offer a structure and a way of experiencing and learning about ourselves through art, but it should not be just about following rules...so glad my work is landing for you.
I would love to see your drawing if you would share in my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
Wonderful introduction to Neurographica! The meditation was so needed. Thank you so much!! I look forward to learning more!! 🌻
thank you for your comment. i am happy to hear that you are enjoying my way of sharing this method 🙏 I'd love to see your drawing and would like to invite you to join my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
Thank you, Antje. I have enjoyed your videos. I would like to learn more about the video in which you delve further into drawing lines. Your teaching methods incorporate such kindness and invoke a calming meditative presence that helps maintain focus. Truly a gift.
hi Karen, thank you for your wonderful feedback, i really appreciate it.
You can find the video about drawing lines on my TH-cam channel. there is a short series of introductory videos.
@@neuroartproject Thank you, Antje. Keep doing what you’re doing. A true legacy for paying it forward.
@karenbanko895 thank you so much for your support 🙏❤️
Thank you, that was a great presentation and connection. Only discovered this modality a few days ago and am loving starting to practice. Interested now to find your video on 'the line' Another (Russian) teacher mentioned 'whatever direction the line wants to go, move in another direction' and that has confused /challenged me to understand how that works with 'trusting the flow of the line' in a way you mentioned that I'm used to doing from many years of art therapy/free or intuitive line and colour practice. Thanks again!
Thank you for your feedback, i really appreciate it.
Yes, the line is really a chapter by itself. The way I see and teach it is that there is a range of possibilities that we can play and experiment with - following the flow, finding our edge, or even going against the flow. But I don't think that we always need to necessarily push ourselves to the edge of comfort. In the end, it is all about exploring and strengthening our perception and inner awareness 😊
Thank You, very much!
thank you for watching
Thank you, this is really exiting
wonderful. so excited with you 😁
Hello dear teacher,I watched your tuto.I just looked at you drawing, and through thé process I got a Big emotional release, when I Saw that circle with all those lignes .I Saw thé foetus in m'y mother's woumb and I felt the deepest sadness of not being desired, not wantedcby m'y mother She could not feel joy in her married life .This is so powerfull. The mind need to integrate. This technique is a miracle Namaste God blessé tout dear teacher
Thank you for sharing your powerful experience and journey. and yes, please make sure to take time to integrate and allow your mind and whole being to let it settle. Also, you can make more drawings with the intention to support yourself and find ways to heal. Namaste 🙏
Thank you.
you're very welcome 😊
Thank you for such an excellent lesson!

Oh! You should teach at Omega’s Arts Week some summer!!! I would take your class!!! ❤ (in NY state)
thank you
I am so grateful that you have this out in the public’s eye without having it behind a pay wall. I’ve been trying to learn the overall process, and do plan to dig deeper as I go.
It seems as if everytime I’ve asked other creators questions on SM - they send me a dang link to their paid trainings. 🤦🏼♀️.
I had an interesting moment as you drew your lines. maybe is normal when watching someone rather than personally be doing it ourselves at the time.
At various times, I had one or two words come to mind which were definitely related to me. With that being said, when doing our own, if that were to happen - is it okay to stop and write that word or phrase in the spot that we felt it? Or does that interrupt the flow?
Again, thank you for your generosity for us all to learn the process!!!
The awesome part of giving from a place of gratitude is that as the video finished, I am super excited to hear that you said you have a course!!!! ❤❤ I’m gonna go check them out for sure!!!
thank you for your wonderful feedback and insights 🙏 i really appreciate it.
About the words that come up for you, you can absolutely stop and write them down in your drawing, many of my students have done similar things and i feel that it can actually enhance the process as we stop and listen. And most important of all, i absolutely recommend experimenting and making this your own process, and if something comes up then always listen - on a deeper level, this is what this entire method is all about.
I hope to see you in one of my courses or workshops in the future 😊 and i would also love to see your drawings - i have a Facebook group where you are invited to share: facebook.com/groups/neuroartproject
@@neuroartproject OHHH MY, fb group…. Here I come! I hadn’t even thought about asking that 💖 thank you so much!! Later after watching more, I realized that I missed what weight of paper you prefer when you use the sharpies? (Or if drawing paper - is it a mixed media?) Again, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have come across you!!!
@jameemaree4602 to be perfectly honest most of the time i use simple copy paper for my classes and demonstrations, and yes, the sharpie absolutely bleeds through, but i don't mind that. sometimes when i do longer processes for myself I do use thicker mixed media paper, especially when i want to experiment (like with using watercolor pencils or other coloring experiments). But to begin with I wouldn't even worry about that and just use whatever you have available.
This❤ thank you for saying this. I’m on a budget and would not have been able to learn without it being free.
Thank you so much for this amazing demonstration. I really enjoyed it and your explanations were really clear 😊. I just wondered - I had a lot of bleeding with my pen. I was using a fine/ultra fine sharpie on smooth copy paper. The pen seemed quite thick and maybe the paper was too thin? Could I ask what pen and paper you were using please? Many thanks again 😊😊
thank you for the beautiful feedback, I am glad that you enjoyed the drawing. Yes, sharpie can be a little harsh for some paper. I use copy paper (75 g/m2) for my demonstrations, but privately I sometimes like to use heavier drawing paper. The pens I use are Stabilo (either fine No 88 or thicker No 68) I absolutely love those, because they come in many different colors as well.
I hope that helps.
I would love to see your drawings as well if you would share (I think there is a link to my facebook group on my channel page)
Thank you so much for your reply Antje - I will have a look at your FB page and try to post a pic of my drawing! I found it really relaxing but also so interesting to hear about the concepts behind all the steps. I look forward to doing more. I may try to join your beginners class if I can - and get some Stabilo pens! Many thanks again for sharing this fascinating demo 😊
@kathyevison1462 i would love to have you in my class. the live course begins this Friday (August 11th) and there will also be recordings to study on your own in case you cannot make all the live meetings. Please feel free to get in touch with me with any questions you may have.
Thank you Antje - I have committed and signed up for the course on Friday - really looking forward to ‘meeting’ you over Zoom (if I can get it to work 😆) 😊
@@kathyevison1462 wonderful. I'm looking forward to meeting you as well 😊
Even if we know, it helps us to work through. And maybe out.
glad that it helps 😊

thanks for letting me know. It looks like it will just take a little time. The captions are automatically generated in TH-cam. Please check again in a few hours or tomorrow, then it will be available for sure!
Are you aware of any instruction books that teach this. I have an adult nephew who could use it.
Hello, the method is usually taught in courses, because it is all about practice, so it doesn't really make sense to read about it. I know that there are books that "pretend" to introduce Neurographica, but the ones I've seen so far are not comprehensive and will not allow anyone to actually learn the method.
I recommend taking a class - I offer a self-paced online program with recordings that goes into great depth and detail and is filled with drawing practice to really learn the method. I also offer personal feedback on selected drawings and have a student facebook group where students can connect and share their experiences.
Here is more information: neuroartproject.net/basics-course
How do i obtain your course please
hello. please visit my website: neuroartproject.net/basics-course
I'm looking forward to having you in the course.
I can't get sound
the video has sound. it must be an issue on your end somehow. sorry i can't really help with that.
@@neuroartproject got it thanks In end
I hope this isn't somehow representative of my 60 year old neural connections, because this is a mess! LOL!
😅 you can interpret it however it makes sense for you. In a way, I feel it can help "normalize" the mess, and it is like this for everyone, especially when we are working with inner tensions. In general it's not so much about what it looks like and much more about how it makes us feel and what insights it can give us, like a helpful and interesting mess...
This is called doodling. Just doodle people.
if you're not interested in learning this specific technique that is absolutely fine...no one is pressuring you...just do whatever you want and call it doodling
