I did a few of these on my lunch break today and you're right. They do satisfy without eating into time. I even combined a few (flowers in circles) and added a further pen colour into the equation (white posco for added highlights). Cheers for the hints and tips.
I’m so happy you enjoyed the process and making it your own! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️
omg adding white pen over top for highlights is hitting my brain just the right way, I can incision that so hard--especially over the floral designs?? YES
OMG OMG OMG!!!!! I’m so glad I came across this video. I’ve been sick for a year with chemo therapy and cancer surgery and I need something to get me back into painting. Chemo makes you feel that everything is impossible but this shows me I can do just anything and have fun!!!!! 🎉
Awwe. Sweet that you are inspired. GOD bless sweetheart . Keep believing and keep creating ❤
thank you so much for taking the time to share ❤️ I really think once we switch the perspective from “result” to “fun” art does what it’s supposed too and feeds our souls! Sending tons of love ❤️ and praying for your swift recovery
Wishing you a speedy creative recovery 🙏 🖌 🎨 🖼 📖 🖊
Praying for you ❤
Keep fighting the fight honey! Way to many of us with this. My fight goes on, no treatment for me, but I'm still here, almost 3 years since diagnosis, I swear it was the Rona Jabs😂! Got me in my left lung, can't do anesthesia so no ops for me, relying on scans for growth rate, spread etc. but hey! Happy with my life, past, (4 gorgeous baby girls, grown up now, 6, beautiful grandkids, grown up! 1 Great Grandson!!) am now 65, still married 40yrs, and so very happy with my life, don't worry or be fearful, be happy and positive, you too, will live a long and happy life. Much love Chez in Lliria Valencia Spain ❤😘😘😘
It's called neurographica it's actually an art therapy style. What it is is the lines are supposed to be completely random or you're supposed to scribble something on the paper very quickly and then you round all the sharp edges making the sharp thoughts more smooth then you're supposed to add field lines or grounding lines which help ground you and let you analyze deep thoughts even better. I took a beginner's course in neurographica at the neurographica academy online it's really great in fact one of the things that I wanted to do was learn to organize better and honestly after I took that course a year ago I can't stop trying to get 40 years of my life without organization actually organized. It's also help me with a lot of my PTSD and my ADHD and anytime I feel upset or stressed out I can grab a piece of paper and do the work.
I love that, thank you for sharing! So I’m guessing the circles I see put in a lot of videos are the grounding lines… I know it makes me feel better! That’s a course I would like to take!
Neurographica sounds like pseudo science. Be careful with that stuff especially online classes. Be skeptical. Please.
@@Waspinmymind well it is not pseudoscience it is psychology and it is art therapy. I took a class after doing many of their online free things since I love art therapy for my complex PTSD. If you looked it up you'd have more information instead of just assuming because of the name. I took the one class and it helped a lot. The thing is is that it is a therapy session kind of like you'd go to a therapist and talk to them well with this you use a drawing technique in order to calm the mind which are therapy is a real thing that's been used for many many many many years. So don't assume without doing the research yourself. I take it you are not somebody who has to do any kind of therapy or doesn't believe in art therapy but I'm just assuming let me tell you something having neurographica in my tool box of things that I can use to help me through panic attacks through flashbacks and through times of immense stress has helped me 10-fold and I've had it for a year. I've had more progress this year and I've actually knocked my panic attacks down to I've had one in the past 6 months and with that one when I felt it coming on I immediately went to drawing and rounding corners and I didn't have to take anxiety medication which I used to have to take three a day I'm down to as needed and my panic attack was over quicker than any I've ever had before. You know why? Basically I focused on something else I made sure to take the sharp panic that I was feeling and rounded it out. But I wouldn't know how to do that the right way without having the guidance I would have just done neurographic art with it which is kind of different because when doing neurographic art without the therapy part You're just doing art for art sake trying to make a pretty picture when you understand the steps in doing a neurographica session then you're doing it for therapy whether it's for high stress or for putting intention to something it actually does work and help a lot. I took my class January 2023 since then I have been through some very stressful situations that before had left me in a constant state of panic for days at a time now after being able to add that to my toolbox which led me to do acrylic paint pouring and both of those together has helped me in the past year to have something to do to ease my mind which in turn like I said left me without having to take my anxiety medication that I've taken since 2007 I quit biting my nails randomly in one year didn't even notice I've been biting them since I've had teeth I'm in my forties. I have made many positive changes over this past year and it all started with taking that class. And no I'm not affiliated with them and yes there are a lot of people out there who think they're know what they're talking about when it comes to it but if you don't take the class you wouldn't know but you need to make sure you are going to the right people to do it. It is based on science done by a psychiatrist/psychologist and artist from Moscow and please with everything going on in today's world don't hold the fact that it started in Moscow against them. If I'm not mistaken I did mention the actual US-based academy The reason I did that is yes there are people out there who will try and make money off of this who don't know what the heck they're talking about just like everything else. That's why it's important to do your own research. I'm only one person I'm not affiliated with them in any way I can just tell you from my own experience that when done with the right instructor so that you can learn the right techniques it can absolutely help in many different aspects but so can art therapy of all kinds You just have to be open to it. I would suggest checking out more about the origins of neurographica. Checking out the academy they have here You could even do one of their free classes on their TH-cam channel I don't know if that's something you would be interested in but if not then don't come at me if you haven't done your own research. Is art therapy pseudoscience too? Have you done research in this? Have you done anything more than just read my comment and then blurt your opinion out because you know so much about it? Like I said before assuming do the research but what I told you about my experience is true the reason I commented is most likely the person who's showing this was showing it as an art technique even though she is showing it as a technique to help creativity and relax I thought it would be important to show the right way to do it so that people can have the most benefits.
@@bycreativepaulagoogle automatic drawing. it's a slightly different tool than what another commenter referenced. it is meant to be a meditative/ mindful tool, than a psychological tool. slightly different, though very similiar
@@Waspinmymindmay i suggest you google automatic drawing? i believe what paula made her is more in alignment with automatic drawing than the term the other commenter used. its a meditation tool.
Am I the only one who loves paint blooms? They are like abstract flowers to me...
Nope...I love them too
I love , love , love them. 🥰🤗🙊
Me, too!
I was going to say the same thing. I loved how that first painting looked with the blooms!
Definitely not alone. I love them too! Love their texture & especially their edges
Yes, please do a video on abstract art for the home! I loved these ideas - thank you!
Will do!!☺
I want that too❤❤❤
I actually love the bleed-through on the back side of the large flower! When you were flipping back through, I wondered when you did that one, and then realized it's the back side - lol. Thanks for all of these great ideas. :)
So happy you liked them! Yes the bleeding is always somehow beautiful 😊
Me, too! I was coming here to say that!
ikr? it makes me want to do the same exact drawing but on the other side of the page because of how much it bleeds through. its cool!!
I would like to see more of these types of videos. I am always running out of sketch book ideas
Will do! Thank you so much!❤
Me, too! I searched and found a bunch after I saw this the other day, but I like yours best!
Me too
Love love love these simple yet beautiful ideas
Love all the ideas and seeing the large versions in rooms was amazing
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed them! This week I am taking some of what I tried on these pages onto my large canvas! 😊those mockups inspired me a lot too!
that was so cool!! i had no idea how much you could elevate a piece by blowing up the size
This TH-cam video is a true blessing, turning my screen into a source of visual delight.
As are your kind words! Thank you!
My inner artist has been dormant and this video is waking her up. Thank you!
Oh yessssssss!!! Wakey wakey! Time to play!!!!🙌🏻❤️ thank you! 😊
@@bycreativepaula Thank you for your generosity and authenticity ❤️
I like referring clients to videos like this because they are simple to do with accessible materials. The positive effect on mood and mental wellness is relevant to my work with clients. Thank you for posting.
Thank you for sharing, I can stop criticizing my art and just trust the process🌺🌺🌺
I think we all do that!- I mean there’s paintings I’ve sold to happy collectors that I wish I could go and retouch for them! What helps is to talk to ourselves (even for a tiny second) like we would to another artist and carry on for a bit with that encouragement and see what happens!
Happy to have you here, have a beautiful day! ❤️
In the first piece when you mess up but go with it, it reminds me of the best piece of art advice I’ve ever heard. When you mess up get excited. That switch in mindset helped me improve tremendously and I enjoy art more. Mistakes give us opportunity you never ever would have had. It’s also why I love drawing and doodling in pen you learn to incorporate your mistakes.
Oh I love that!!! Excited for it already! Thanks! ❤️
I love that! It gives you permission and after, you become less and less judgemental. Love it!
@@cosmicmauve I think I am, like these exercises or free play make me less stressed on canvas 😊
I liked the blots immediately, actually. I’m glad you kept them!
Haha thank you! ❤️🥰🥰
Actually now that I’ve done one with blobs I’m thinking some beautiful art can come out of those and that I could play in different ways! But sometimes it’s hard to put that distance between me and the project to reflect when I’m in the middle of it 🙈 I’m glad I pressed on and that you liked them 🥰
It was so much relatable on the fact that u said that “ it’s wrong I should tear it and pretend like nothing never happened and I should start again” it happens with me every time loved they way u inspired me and I love you art! ♥️
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
Don’t ever be afraid. We don’t have to love everything you do, you don’t have to love everything you do. It’s the fact that you create & inspire others as well as yourself that is the best part - plus you create some awesome images & they would make great art prints!
Thank you so much for your beautiful kind words dear Allison! They are super encouraging and fuel me so so much! ❤️🥰
Ive really loved doing neuro art lately. Ive enjoyed the calm that it brings!
Same here! ❤️
I would love to see tutorials for easy abstract art for the home! Thank you!
Me too!!❤
Yes! I will for sure be making that video! Just bear with me because I think it will happen somewhere in may 🫣
Me three
I was watching this with my 10yo and 6yo and when you mentioned the "artistic tantrums" they both looked at me meaningfully because they are both prone to that! Thank you for bringing up the struggles in the process and not only the stunning outcomes.
This is probably the most useful and practical art video we've ever watched, and even my eldest, who is not very into art, said there were lots of ideas we could do. Mentioning the benefits for the brain and wellbeing also encourage the more left-brained amongst us to make time for art. Thank you!
Hi Susan!!! Thank you so much for sharing and all your kind words! ❤️ I’m glad sharing my tantrums resonates and there’s ideas you can all try together, have fun!!!
I teach neuro-arts for mental wellness sessions. There is so much great science that shows how creating art, even if you never have, can be so good for us! Thanks so much for this wonderful video!
Just discovered you today Paula! Every one of these play pieces, turned out so amazingly cool, just loved every one of them! Thanks so very much Paula. Now Im going to check out your site, and see more of your lovely creations!
Hi Lynn! Thank you for your kind words and welcome!! ❤️❤️❤️
Me, too! Grateful for whatever the algorithm was doing this week.
Amazing. Could you do a more detailed tutorial on the negative painting please. Also, absolutely yes to a video about abstract art ❤
Absolutely! Thank you so much! I will put both videos on my list!☺
Paula you are such a wonderful artist to share this with us!! Thank you!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You are so welcome!❤️ thank you so much!
Outlining the pedals that bled through on the back of the flower page would be cool too!
These are all great! Thx for the content 🙂
Yessss! I’ll get back to it on an upcoming video; thank you! 😊
Fabulous! Thank you Paula for sharing your ideas. You have helped me through a bad patch of illness that made me feel useless. Not any more! I shall be sweeping colours and inking first thing in the morning! ❤Love your art! Best wishes, Sheila in Yorkshire uk x
You are here for a purpose. Let your artistic desires flow. You got this girl ❤
Welcome Sheila and thank you so much for sharing! ❤️ if you want please send me what you e created and I can share it… I will be praying for your swift recovery and brighter days
I'm so glad you posted Paula. We missed you. My daughters and I absolutely adore your videos and enjoy watching your process. I love how honest you are about your work and doubting yourself sometimes and how you can turn that around to make something so wonderful! You are so talented and seem to be just a beautiful person inside and out ❤ Please keep your content coming because we truly LOVE it.
Thank you so much! 🥰 I find your beautiful words super encouraging ❤️❤️❤️
The backside of the big flower came out wonderful!
Thank you! ❤️It did! I often love the backs of stuff I paint with alcohol markers 😊
I love it !
Even the back of the page with the large flower. WOW !
Thank you so much!🥰
LOVE them ALL! Thank you for sharing. I never know what to do or how to start... I spend more time looking for inspiration than I do making art and when I make the art, it takes me long because I keep questioning and over thinking everything :D
You are so welcome! ❤️ don’t worry either time and practice you’ll let go of the end result and focus on YOUR fun! That’s what’s really important!
@@bycreativepaula gracias!
I'd love diy abstracts for home decorating. That's exactly what I want to do since I can't currently afford to buy art and I'd like to decorate with some interesting wall art
Go for it! You’ll enjoy it so much too and telling people you made it will be an instant conversation starter! So fun!
Beautiful! Great ideas!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks so much! 😊
Wonderful and inspiring! Your relaxed demeanor takes away the anxiety of sitting down with the sketchbook (I tend to be a perfectionist, so I can't fail if I don't start). Your ideas are really similar to some I've had myself, but your use of watercolor has me inspired to crack my set open and just play with color. Thanks for the great video!
Love these ideas. Neurographic art is awesome.
It is !!! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This video is so satisfying to watch filling a skeckbook video I feel like I have to get my own sketchbook and easily fill my own sketchbook I love the rainbow watercolor painting that you did its colorful.
So happy you liked it! Having a sketchbook is so much fun!
I'm pretty sure it is fun to do a sketch book.
@@amyember yes! I hope you do get one! Let me know and if you want me to share anything you create you can send it through my insta!
Aww thank you!
What brand is the sketchbook that you use, may I ask?😅
Paula thank you so much for this post. I'm experiencing mental health challenges at the moment and although I love to paint usually I have hated it lately. There techniques helped me to just have fun with my painting again and they have been very therapeutic ❤
Wonderful inspirational ideas! I dont consider myself "arty" but I feel even I could have a go at these x Thank you!
Yes you can!!! Have fun and thank you! ❤️
That rainbow had me totally hooked!! 🌈 I love it!! 🥰 The big flower is really awesome as well!! 🌺 Every single one of these would make gorgeous wall art!! ❤️ Thank you for making simple ideas for sketchbooks!! 🤗 Total novice here! 😅 What will you do with the alcohol ink background? It is kind of cool in negative, but I know you could paint white or black over it to add something different to that side. I responded to your Create this Book poll. I kind of know how much time and effort you and pressure you put into each page. Please don't overwhelm yourself to make one of those each week. Your sketchbook and other art items are incredible and worthy of being out here. 👍 Please make what makes you happy and not stressed. If you are having fun, we will enjoy it!! 😄 Algorithms are stupid... Remember, any negative comments are still engagement and more of a reflection of the people posting the comment than any worthy criticism of your art. Big hugs!! 🫂 You've got this! 👏👏
Awwww thank you so much!!! 🥰❤️❤️ I’m not sure yet what I’ll do with that ink that bled through but I’m totally going to use! I feel I need to not look at it for a little while, for something different from what I did with the pen to pop up! I was initially thinking white ink but maybe I’ll go for color just to see what happens !
Thanks for the support! ❤️ it truly gives me more thank you could imagine! After my little break I’m eager to go back to the book; even if the next prompt is to draw realism and we know that one is gonna take longer lol!
I have a few other things coming that I just can’t wait to share with you! Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
@@bycreativepaula You are very welcome! 😍🤗
Artistic tantrum!! So relatable 😂 Thank you ❤
Hahaha we all have them! ❤️
IM AN OLD LADY WANTING TO START. YOU INSPIRE ME!
I absolutely loved watching this, and it truly sparked creativity in me. Lately I feel very blocked, so I honestly felt very grateful for the inspiration!
I'm so glad! 🥰 thank you so much!
Sorry for my English ( just in case hehe) but yeah… I have to say that I really appreciate the way you tell us how you felt doing those paints and how you wanted to give up about some of them because you didn’t like at first. I feel always like that and it’s cool that you show us that if we continue, we can have something very nice at the end. So thanks a lot😊✨💕
Gracias Camila! Jaja; bienvenida! ❤️
Love these ideas. It’s so hard sometimes to look at a blank sketchbook. 💕
It really is! 😊 thank you so much!
Everyone has that “start over” feeling: whether it’s re-doing the bathroom, writing an essay for class, painting, drawing, it’s called “the muck in the middle”. Usually about the pre-to-halfway mark. It’s universal.
The “starting a new project” excitement begins to wane and we ask: what have I gotten myself into? But “you’re just as far in as you’ll ever be out” may as well continue on, bc if you start over, you’ll end up in the same place.
That’s so interesting, thanks for sharing! ❤️ it kinda gives you even more perspective to buckle up and carry on
I love your ideas. I am glad I found your channel.
Thank you so much! ❤️Glad you like them!
Thank you so much. This is so inspirational and thank you for your vulnerability in talking about how you really feel. The exercises were both freeing and beautiful, connecting to the audience in such a caring way.
Thank you so much Liggia ❤️🥰 You are welcome! I’m very happy you are enjoying this space! ❤️❤️❤️
I like that you show how a print would look like on a wall. I never though to tests just for fun my different random drawing and we can see some "simple" stuff looks very amazing on wall !
Thank you! Yes it’s really fun to test! Makes you prouder of your work 😉
Currently my fav art video. Thks for sharing them all!!
Abstract video would be fun too!! 🦋
Thank you so much! Yes it’s coming!! 😊
Newbie here. Love these examples! Thank you for sharing!
Me too! I just happened upon this! Thank you so much for sharing! I enjoyed you very much!
Love this! Thank you! I am older and finally able to stretch my wings with lifelong interests as I slow down a bit! I gifted myself a watercolor journal such as yours, and I've been afraid to get started. This has given me several wonderful ideas to jumpstart me into this creative process! Can't thank you enough! ❤
Thanks for sharing with me and you are so welcome! ❤️❤️❤️ so happy you are starting! I hope you get to love the process of playing with your watercolors😊
Came across your post by accident, so pleased I did, it took me straight back to art college where similar exercises happened. Many, many years later I still have the 50 images in a day book, they all had to be white paper with any sort of black ink, paint, charcoal etc. The kicker was that the article to be described must be held in your hand and no matter what you chose all 50 images had to be different. This was when smoking was not frowned upon, so being a rebel I chose a cheap cigarette lighter and yes 😂50 different images were achieved 🎉. The book was hand made by me, it had no title but the front cover had one of the images and I burnt the edges haphazardly. Thanks for reminding me, now I want to go and look at it and remember the fun. ❤
Oh wow! That sounds like such a fun project!!! I studied interior design and we did something similar in the first semester and I still think about it lol! Maybe this is material for a fun video!!!? Those types of projects really push your creativity! ❤️
@@bycreativepaula Add it to a future video I would really enjoy that lol. Thank you so much for your reply, it means a lot. 🙂
Of course! I truly appreciate the time you took to comment 😊
I love doing neurographic art. But I can only do lovely ones when I'm stressed or experiencing some other negative emotion. I tried to do some every day at one point but as I'm a naturally happy person, it doesn't work when I have nothing bad in my head. It's a wonderful meditative exercise and it really does work to calm the mind and the nerves. And it's beautiful as well, which is a bonus.
That’s so interesting …Maybe you can try it by not putting your feelings on paper and just squiggly lines with intersecting circles or something like that ☺️
Your pages as wall art are quite beautiful.
Thank you so much!😊❤️
ALL OF YOUR SKETCHES PAULA THAT YOU CAME UP WITH GAVE TO ME IDEAS OF SOME ARTWORKS I WANT TO CREATE ESPECIALLY YOUR FIRST SKETCH OF THE RAINBOW YOU CREATED SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR OPENING UP MY MIND ON NEW ARTWORKS I HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE
Hi Nestor! thank you so much! So happy these were useful for you!
Wow!!! Blown away!
Thank you so much! ❤️
Hi Paula: That point when your watercolor painting aggravated you is called the "ugly duckling" stage. All you have to do is what you did, just carry on and it will eventually turn into a swan.
I'm always reminding me that all our art goes through the "ugly duckling" stage and we must carry on until it becomes a lovely swan. Thanks for the post, very helpful.
Thank you so much Taylor! Carry on I will! Or I will try too to be more honest 🤭 sometimes the artistic tantrum gets the best of me 🤷🏼♀️❤️
I've been frustrated to the point where I am not able to create. I find it hard to focus and concentrate when that inside mind voice is in its chaotic state. Ughhh!! Yet, I think your ideas will help me get a grip on that voice to quiet it for a little while. Thank you for sharing those ideas on filling a journal/sketchbook page. I especially liked the monochromatic leaves, the doodling circles and tree paintings. A little inspiration from you to everyone, but especially for me, is immensely appreciated. This is the first time I've seen your channel and I'm happy to have found it. From the bottom of my heart to the very top of it, thank you. ❤😊
Hi!! Welcome!!! Thank you so much for sharing and your kind words 😊 please update me on how it’s going with your art practice! I’ve been there; so I really really hope these helped ❤️
Loved every page! 1st time I've seen your work and wow what an inspiration you are.
Thank you so much!❤️
Please don't be afraid to share...your art work is fabulous...
Thank you so much! 🥰 words like yours keep me motivated! ❤️
That first one is really fun. And i also LOVE #3!❤
Thank you!!! 😊
Wonderful video, thank you. And how lovely to see you. I get so fed up with videos where we just see annoying hands flapping about and covering the work. Beautiful!! 🎉❤
Oh thank you!☺I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Whoa, I need to watch this again..
Thank you for sharing. I've been wanting to start painting but I had no idea where to begin. Now I do. Have a great day.
You are so welcome! ❤️ I hope you’ve already started!
I love them all but my favorite is the blue with leaves!!
Thank you! I really want to play more with monochromatic ideas!
Great ideas!! All came out very nice...Thank you.
In the first painting, when you put wet onto dry, you can get blooms. Keeping the paper wet, but not too wet to get the desired effect gets easier with practice. In any case, I love what you did with it in the end. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Thanks for the tips!❤️
Thanks for the tips!❤️
Your ideas are so inspiring! About a month ago, I decided I wanted to dabble in watercolors. I bought supplies then froze up, not knowing what to do. Thanks so much for your help!
I’m so happy this helps! Have fun! ❤️
Love these ideas! I would love to see your ideas for abstract DIY wall art! 🎨 🖼 😊
Thank you ❤️Coming soon! Or soonish lol but coming!
I also am happy I found your channel. Yes! Please do some abstract!❤️ I especially like your little extra of showing the painting/drawing enlarged on the wall.
Thank you so much ❤️ welcome!
So happy i found your channel also but I’d love to know what kind of sketch book you’re using; checked in your supplies link but could not see it? The book you’ve chosen seems to take water colour well so it can’t be just a basic sketch book..thank you for answering! Loved this video!!
Hi!!! Sorry to say mine is made locally… 250gf watercolor paper… but I’m ordering a similar one I found on Amazon to give it a go in a future video 😊

Yessss! 🙌🏻
Thank you for the inspiration!! All of it turned out beautifully creative. I create junk journals and I am always looking for different ways to fill up the pages. This has my mind flowing again as I have had a creative block.
You are so welcome! ❤️ I’m so happy that block is a thing of the past! 😊 thank you!
So happy this popped up in my feed! I’m just starting to experiment with creative expression through art and these ideas have me buzzing! ❤
I'm so glad! 🙌🏻❤️ thank you!
Thank you these are amazing ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
next time im drawing some doodles or low pressure experimenting, I'm gonna blow them up big on my computer and imagine them as wall art. Had no idea how much a piece could be elevated by simply increasing the size!!
I think you do a GREAT JOB! i rarely get to watch these or I’d watch all you have! Great job across the board
Thank you so much! You are really nice 😊
I love these ideas! Thanks for sharing! ❤
You are so welcome!❤️❤️❤️
Very inspiring. Just bought a new sketchbook and couldn’t get started until I saw your video. Thanks
I’m so happy you are going to use it now! ❤️ thanks!
This is the first of many I will be watching of yours. I tried to reignite my art (I havent been able to do more than a few pages, getting caught on time, pefection- criticism, especially since becoming a parent.) many times; I have LOVED every single of these, and the extra step you took for those of us who are visual- blowing it up, showing exactly how it can be transformed into a beautiful piece? Thank you! Thank you for the time you've put into this, Paula. Thank you for addressing the "artist tantrums," and love your preservance to finish- each one was so worth finishing and the last one, was actually one of my favorites as it came together. I'm looking forward to watching your videos for a long time to come, and please be patient with how imperfect youtube can be... your content is what we need more of.
Thank you so much for all your beautiful words Kate! They are super encouraging and I’m beyond grateful! ❤️❤️❤️ so happy to have you here!
Absolutely loved this. I’m away from home and my watercolor supplies, but will put these ideas in my sketchbook as soon as I can!
Wonderful! ❤️ have fun when you do and thanks!!! 🥰
Thank you for this video! I've had an urge to paint for the last few weeks, but felt that I didn't know have to paint. This morning I sat down with my watercolours and painted for an hour straight. And I felt a such a great relief! So thank you so, so much!
Oh wow thank you for sharing this with me! ❤️❤️❤️ best compliment ever to know you had fun too!
Fabulous. Thanks for sharing. I love all of your ideas.
Thanks so much! 😊❤️
I loved this🥰🥰🥰. So inspirational 💜
Thank you! I like that you showed how the pieces would look on a wall as an art print
Thank you that was fun to do!
Love these sketchbook ideas. Yes please to showing us how to/tutorial for large abstract art. I most certainly would like to know and would definitely have a crack if you show me 😁😁
Hey Di! Thank you! ❤️I will be definitely making that video! Will take me a tad longer but it will come!
I absolutely love love the reverse painting of the hearts that you did! Of course I loved them all, but this one was my ultimate favorite. It reminded me of a bokeh effect on your painting and I was just mesmerized at all the different colors that kept being pushed into the background but you could still see them when looking into your little heart windows.
I’m certainly going to have to give this one a shot. I also loved the neurographica piece too. I’m not kidding when I say I loved them all. Every time I start to compliment one of them I think of another one I really liked in this video. Lol that’s why it’s way easier to say I truly enjoyed each one of them. Thanks so much for the inspiration. 🥰😎👍🏻👍🏻🫶🏻
Wow Amelia thank you so much for all your kind words! ❤️ I really find encouragement in them! 🥰
I loved this. More please!
I’m glad I came across this video! So many times I have art blocks (especially when I’m stressed which is pretty much all the time lately). This would really help me get back into the groove! ❤
Im so glad it was helpful! Funny I’ve been there too, where Stress depletes my inspiration and I forget that painting like this actually reduces my stress and makes me happy! Weird circle but I’m happy if these ideas help you to step out if it too! ❤️
I very much enjoyed this video.
Gives you permission to just mess around with line and color and shapes and sizes.
Very encouraging. ❤
Exactly! Thank you so much! ❤️
Love all of these! I have to get my sketchbook out…and my paints!
Yesss! Or markers, pens, highlighters, whatever! Have fun! ❤️
Paula, your work is beautiful
Thank you so much! 🥰
Im going through a looooong rough patch. Lots of changes, and so often I feel so overwhelmed that I do nothing at all. Your video helped get me started sketching again. I'm very interested in how to take the next step and enlarge my art for the wall and would enjoy a video showing how. Thank you - I love your style and the natural unfolding you've demonstrated.
Thank you so much! ❤️ and thanks for sharing! I’m so happy this helped you create again! 😊 I will have a large scale video up in a few weeks… in the meantime I’m so happy this got you to sketch again!
Thank you so much for helping me get past my artist's block! I have several sketchbooks half done and have only been concentrating my efforts on specific projects... until today :) I felt so free trying your suggestions and new ideas began to flow!
Thank you again.🌷
Oh wow that’s so great! ❤️ thank you for sharing with me!
Wow! Thank you so much, I am going to try all these. I am new to watercolouring and I cannot draw, so abstract is the way for me to go. I love how you display the images as wall art, they look amazing.
So happy you are going to try them, have fun & thank you! ❤️
I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel, it has lifted my spirits immensely and given me plenty of inspiration to get my paint back out and let creativity flow thank you❤
Welcome! I’m so happy! ❤️ thank you so much and have fun painting!
I’ve now found my second favorite TH-cam channel. I absolutely love this video and the ideas you have given. I’ve been staring at my beautiful blank journals (I purchased from another artist) that I’ve been afraid to draw in. Thank you for these ideas. Love your channels and love your art.
Awww thank you so so much! I’m glad you are going to use them to have fun!
I love all of these ideas! I lead a senior arts and crafts hour at a nursing home. I have got them started on a art journal and can’t wait to do some of these with them. I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to getting more great ideas using your art as inspiration. Thank you!
That is awesome! ❤️❤️❤️ made me so happy! Thank you so much!
