I do this for a living and its awesome, I love seeing the customers reaction when your done. for anyone interested the auto recondition market has so many different avenues to take from interiors, bumpers, headlight restoration, paintless dent repair, windshield chip repair, wheels, headlight restoration, odor control, detailing, etc.
We appreciate the feedback Jonathan. 😀 It's amazing how many jobs there are than can be turned into a business in the auto industry. How long have you been in the business?
I mix by eye, the advantage of doing dealerships is that you deal with the same colors over and over and you learn what it take to mix a color, generally each color takes 3-4 individual colors to make. when I do a yacht and its a color that I dont see everyday or a jet then it takes longer but you rely on the lessons you learned from the dealership lots. I learned this trade by riding with someone who had done it for 22 years and the first day I was traveling with him in his truck and he asked me to look at the dash board and tell him what colors I see, I said gray. he asked me the same question in week two and I said gray but I think I see yellow too, he said exactly right you need to look past the primary color and he was right.
I'm trying to get into this business. Right now I'm a mobile detailer. I carry a water tank, generator, chemicals, etc. This video helped a lot! I've got to buy all the equipment I'll need. And start learning how to make repairs.
@@UpFlip most definitely this looks like a smart area to cover in the automotive businesses I see everyone doing detailing and wrapping shops where I'm from, but not this
Hello there, awesome content you put on TH-cam and Spotify. I noticed alot of the videos that are posted are from people in the Pacific North West / Washington area. That's where I am from. I live in Lake Stevens, WA / Snohomish County area. Ive watched alot of the content on the channel while I'm not busy at my current job and it definitely has me excited and looking to get plugged in to something different .
We really appreciate you stopping by today Matt and we're so glad you're enjoying the content. Yes, most of our videos are out of WA. 😀We're also looking to branch out to different areas. What type of business would you start if you could start any business?
Man. These videos are golden. I just wished that since this is TH-cam based, on the web, that there would be.... you guessed it... TH-cam based web businesses (i.e.. blogs, TH-cam channels of owners making millions, etc...) Other than that, great job!
Just curious. How come he doesn't have a physical location? If he makes more on private customers, he could rent out a small garage somewhere and have them bring their vehicles to him.
Where in a time of convince. Nowadays someone will pay more for a guy to come to them then a guy who will do it cheaper but they’ll have to bring it in
I know you can learn via TH-cam, or by trial and error but training with someone with experience like this would be invaluable and save a lot of time, money and headaches. Id certainly be interested.
not in Florida!! make $300.00 a day or more!! hard to raise prices, I have been doing it for 15 years. Lucky to make $80K a year, treasures coast, Florida.
Our area was over saturated at one point, and there were a few companies undercutting everyone just to get the dealership account. For a while I wasn’t raising my prices either. But when I got busy enough, every new account I picked up, I increased my price. Since I wasn’t pressured to get it, I was able to name my price. And then dropped the underperforming accounts.
do not try to start on your own, your work won't last and you will ruin your reputation in your area. try working for someone who has the heart of a teacher or a franchise. I started with a franchise who's training was second to none.
@@chrisperez2503 you could but I dont see this method being successful as there are a lot of things that get passed along the way when you learn from an experienced tech. I have been doing this since 2011 and I learned from two guys who both had over 20 years in each and I just learned something new the other day they would have never have even attempted.
We really appreciate that Gamers Orb. 😀💖 We have some really great content coming up as well. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. What type of businesses would you like to see in upcoming videos?
What country and state? I think people are interested in groups like this if they are familiar with each other's environment. eg UK tax rules and way different to France's.
@@cubworx7397 But then I thought, "why not make it international ?" After a while, there will definitely be more than one person from a country, so not knowing the environment won't be a problem. And everyone else will also be able to learn more about these countries, broadening their horizons
Hello thanks for introducing her to us, i actually did the trade with a loan from my friend, and with the profits i payed up, now am happy and comfortable
So basically you’re adding bondo to a leather seat. Instead of replacing the cracked leather you’re putting a filler on it so it cracks again on the next guy. Nice 👍

Overhead is expensive (especially in real estate), and margins are slim in upholstery.

Cracked leather can indeed be repaired, and we admire this guy's determination and hard work.👊
It depends on where the damage is located, driver’s seat susceptible to more damage.
