Just got the magnetic towel holder that came with 2 blackstone embroidered towels. It’s great!! And looks cool. Now I’m trying to find the scoop to make taking food off the griddle easier.
New blackstone owner just bought. Went looking for accessories advice as I have only owned grills and found this video. Great vid and I will be taking your advice.
Some of the accessories are necessary like you said and I have all of those basic things that you need to cook on the griddle. All of those extra unnecessary things take up a lot of space and I like having as little as possible to clean up after I cook so I stick to the basics. It is nice having a variety of different size domes for steaming different things and depending on the size of the griddle you're using
I got the burger kit with the circular press on sale and it's fantastic I didn't think it would do much but I gota say it's pretty good would recommend
Great video, I would make one comment though. Depending on where you live, you may only have one Walmart Supercenter in your town. So you would never find all of these cool items all in one single store. Where I live I have 4 Supercenters within 20 - 25 miles of my house. Depending on what item I was looking for sometimes I found I would have to hit all of them and still end up having to order the item either directly from Blackstone Products i.e. the Fiesta Bowl and tortilla warmer set. I have the BS 28" Rangetop Combo griddle. When I saw Todd Toven's video he did with all the new 2021 products and I saw the 17" E-series griddle. I said I gotta have one of those. I hit all 4 of the Walmart Supercenters and it was a big fat no-go. Then I happen to be returning from a visit to the local VA Hospital and there happened to be a Walmart that I don't normally shop at. Guess what the fifth time was a charm, they had one "1" in stock I snatched it up and went straight to the checkout. Sometimes you just have to rely on impulse buying to get what you need.
The one thing I disagree with in this video, is the pancake dispenser. I use mine all the time! I make breakfast every morning and you can even use it on waffle makers etc. it’s phenomenal.
I saw your comments about the butter roller. Just wanted to say I’ve quit using butter for the toasted breads like a grilled cheese. I now butter with mayonnaise. Grills well and spreads well too.
Great video! I agree with 100% of the things you said. I wish this video would've been around when I first started out. I could've saved a LOT of money. Thanks for the content!
Thanks for all this info! I'm a little hurt that the thing I'm most looking forward to using (pancake squirter) is on your don't get list. But still, you helped a bunch!
"What accessories do I need," is, indeed, one of the most oft asked questions by new BS owners. You gave an excellent appraisal of yea and nay items. Folks would do well to follow your advice while learning the ropes and finding out their specific needs.
Thank you Thank you - I’m getting ready to un box my 28” - kinda wish it was the 36” but I’m thankful for it . Great video ! Some of thoes items I have already bought - the need ones , lol lol so I will work on getting the other ones
Loved your video. Thank you. Some of the accessories for the grill itself that are really helpful- table surround, hardtop cover, canvas cover, scrub pads and stones we found these items indispensable.
I disagree with the foil grease pans. My first Blackstone I didn’t use them and I regretted it because it got nasty quickly. When I got my second one, I purchased them and they make it a whole lot easier to maintain cleanliness. Other than that, well put video. Some of the accessories I have and some I don’t, but wish I had.
Did anyone see when he picked up the dome it went from looking like a giant dome to a small one and then back to giant size when he put it down?? 🤣 Thanks for the vid.
Great video. I'm new to BS and right off the bat I know an accessory they need to make that I don't believe they do and that is a heat deflector for the sides where your shelves are so the heat doesn't melt your plastic bottles or anything else you put on them.
@@blackstonecooking That's great to know will have to look them up. Just used my BS for the first time yesterday and I noticed it was really hot on the sides where that Gap is. Thanks.
I gotta tell ya,, I’ve watched tons of videos for Blackstone beginners,,,,, YOURS SIR,,,, is the absolute BEST I have seen !!! Thank you soooo much for your time and knowledge!!
We bought everything except the taco holder because it haven’t been in stock at Walmart but as soon as they stock it we getting two 😅🤣. Oh we didn’t get the knives either but we going to 🥴. We don’t have the pancake decorating thing because we would never use it.
Started with the 36” then it turned into the 22” with the stand then the 17” then the adventure ready prep cart. Then the new spatulas, hamburger kit, new scraper, knife, 3-1 cleaning tool, rubber spatula mat, magnetic hooks, caddy, storage tote, flashlight, thermometer, cutting board, water bottles, 2 magnetic seasoning/bottle holders, both basting covers, and the adventure rubber basting cover(use it as a chip bowl), egg rings, both cast iron presses, 2 taco racks, warming rack, and a bunch of the seasoning. Now thinking of getting the new plastic serving trays. But when I go camping or tailgating at White Sox/Bears games I always get compliments on my setup.
Great Video. Blackstone needs to send you free stuff for all the items you already purchased!!! hahahaha. I just found your Chanel, do you have the grill with the air fryer, and is that worth the investment?
Great video! I’m a new subscriber and have enjoyed your Blackstone videos a lot. I have many of the accessories that you have as well. My spatula mat and presses are by far the most used along with the spatulas, tongs and water bottles from Blackstone. I bought the new original series serve and store cart today from Walmart. Going to put it together tomorrow, hope it doesn’t take all day LOL
Hi. thanks for the video. Really like the spatulas used here. Blackstone makes so many products, can you please provide a link for these or tell me what series they are from? Thanks in advance!
Out of all the accessories, I have a question about one of the smallest ones. haha! Where did you find a shaker that also had a plastic/rubber lid cover?
Have you noticed the grill itself seems to be somewhat of a loss leader? I got a pretty good deal when I bought my 17" portable grill. But then I bought the stand, and all sorts of accessories and toys. When it is all said and done, I have way more money in accessories and toys than the grill itself. It is kind of like Disneyland.................it will never be complete as long as there is imagination in the world!
After using my 36" griddle for the first time to cook for a group, I immediately bought an apron and some grilling gloves because I burned my hands and ruined my shirt from bacon splatter.
You said that the XL cast iron press is made out of the same as your griddle top. Griddle top is a cold rolled steel not cast iron.. good video.
Great video. I am terrible about buying every accessory when I get into something new. I think you saved me a few hundred bucks.
When it comes to the burger presses; use parchment paper between the press and burger patties. Eliminates the need to clean them. 👍🏼
Just got the magnetic towel holder that came with 2 blackstone embroidered towels. It’s great!! And looks cool. Now I’m trying to find the scoop to make taking food off the griddle easier.
Great tutorial Michael. I just bought my Blackstone and was wondering what is needed. Thanks for the info.
I'm getting my first Blackstone griddle today so this was very helpful! Thanks!
Thanks for the video. TH-cam is getting crazy with the amount of ads.
No freaking kidding. 10 ads in a 20min video.

Glad to hear it

Hey Kids! Christmas gift suggestion!!! Grill, taco accessories, small steamer cover...squirt bottles...
Great video, I would make one comment though. Depending on where you live, you may only have one Walmart Supercenter in your town. Thank you for this video! very helpful in choosing Christmas gifts for the family!!!
A great tip for cleaning out your grease tray is to use a Turkey baster to clean it out. That is, until you get large chunks of feed in it.
The one thing I disagree with in this video, is the pancake dispenser. I use mine all the time! I make breakfast every morning and you can even use it on waffle makers etc. it’s phenomenal.
My dogs and cats are getting me a grill for fathers day
I saw your comments about the butter roller. Just wanted to say I’ve quit using butter for the toasted breads like a grilled cheese. I now butter with mayonnaise. Grills well and spreads well too.
Great tip!
The handheld scrapper is my favorite accessory.

Glad to help
I purchased the BS caddie and really love it to transport all the ‘stuff’ you just mentioned!
thank you very informative . will save me money , great video
Great video! What Model is your Blackstone?
The grease sleeves work. I have the 36" pro series. They work great. No extra clean up. I just don't like paying $8 for 6 like trays.
What accessories do I want to have to clean up afterwards?🤣 Keep it minimal. Great video.
Q re taco holder, do you fry up the tortillas and then place them on the tray?
Loved your video. Thank you. Some of the accessories for the grill itself that are really helpful- table surround, hardtop cover, canvas cover, scrub pads and stones we found these items indispensable.
Thanks for watching!
Great video .Just bought a Blackstone and didn't wont to waste money on unnessesary accessories
Glad I could help
Thank you for the tips! You have a good teacher voice.
I appreciate that! I am a teacher for my day job so its fitting ;-)
Nice video!
And I just got the pancake dispenser, haven't used it yet but I plan to this weekend!
Hope you enjoy it!
Dude! You need like a 12 foot grill with all those huge accessories! I would love to see you in action!
Maybe one day!
I disagree with the foil grease pans. My first Blackstone I didn’t use them and I regretted it because it got nasty quickly. That was really a great video. Real helpful. For a long time weber guy.
Did anyone see when he picked up the dome it went from looking like a giant dome to a small one and then back to giant size when he put it down?? 🤣
Thanks for the vid.

They make wind guards that serve this purpose
@@blackstonecooking That's great to know will have to look them up. Just used my BS for the first time yesterday and I noticed it was really hot on the sides where that Gap is. Thanks.
I gotta tell ya,, I’ve watched tons of videos for Blackstone beginners,,,,, YOURS SIR,,,, is the absolute BEST I have seen !!! Thank you soooo much for your time and knowledge!!
Thank you so much!
I would put the thermometer in the must pile. Also, mayo for grilled cheese.
We bought everything except the taco holder because it haven’t been in stock at Walmart but as soon as they stock it we getting two 😅🤣. Oh we didn’t get the knives either but we going to 🥴. We don’t have the pancake decorating thing because we would never use it.
Great video !
Great Review. It was very helpful
I need to come over and hang out with you, Mike! I’ll wear my RSVLTS shirts too!
Come on! You live near austin?
Love the short videos- love the long videos. Keep it up
Great info for the first time griller.
Where did you get the black shelf that surrounds the Blackstone?
Where can you get some of those like the big steaming lid and the warming tray?
Both are at walmart
Didn’t think about the cast iron press and the care it needs
thank you. this great to watch
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic video! Very informative. Thank you!!!
Nice run down, thank you.
Getting ready to buy my first Blackstone. Thinking the 22. What are the pros and cons of one with a lid ? Trying to decide if I need the lid model.
Nah, the lid makes a nice weather cover but it’s not necessary
Very informative! Thanks!
I did not see the hamburger spatula. Every time I make smash burgers I use that one. Great video.
Great video. Very informative. Thank you
Great Video. Blackstone needs to send you free stuff for all the items you already purchased!!! hahahaha. I just found your Chanel, do you have the grill with the air fryer, and is that worth the investment?
Thanks for the sub!
I have the Pro Series and love it
Great video very informative thank you
Nice video. I'm getting one next week, good stuff to know. Thanks.
Enjoy it
Very helpful and informative. Saved me some $.
Thanks this was very helpful
I have the blackstone prep station and I have Notice that the 4 lil drawers stick and hard to open. Do u have the same problem 😕.
Good informative video, I needed to watch as a new BS owner!!!!👍👍
What brand and model is your pivoting hood for your grill?
Thanks for all the info. What / where did you get that smaller scraper and the knife?
All at Walmart
I’m surprised you didn’t just slap all the accessories down on your griddle. Lol. Thanks for the great video.
Hahaha! This comment made me laugh out loud!
I kept waiting to hear about the workstation/storage thing to your left? Where do you get one of those?
I have a whole separate video on that thing. Go check it out
Excellent video
I was wondering about how close you griddle is to your home outside wall. Doesn’t it get too hot to be that close to the structure?
My actual griddle is not against the wall (you may be looking at my prep cart) I keep the griddle away from the house

Hi. thanks for the video. Really like the spatulas used here. Blackstone makes so many products, can you please provide a link for these or tell me what series they are from? Thanks in advance!
They are from Walmart. The pro series I believe.
is the shirt a required accessory?
Out of all the accessories, I have a question about one of the smallest ones. haha! Where did you find a shaker that also had a plastic/rubber lid cover?
he said it came with the burger kit
Burger kit.
Is there a tote or something to store the spatulas and other grill accessories??
Yes, and I have a whole video reviewing it. check it out.
Good info 👍🏼
scrapper for sure and some cleaning cloths and cleaning knowledge.
Do you have the links to the Accessories?
Have you noticed the grill itself seems to be somewhat of a loss leader? I got a pretty good deal when I bought my 17" portable grill. But then I bought the stand, and all sorts of accessories and toys. When it is all said and done, I have way more money in accessories and toys than the grill itself. Where do you get that metal case for all your accessories.
It’s Blackstone s pro series prep cart. Available at walmart
You're great.
Thanks for sharing! Dave in WV!
Do you use the wind block attachments?
I do not
Where the heck do you store all that stuff?
I have a pro series and the prep cart. Holds everything nicely
Thanks
He has more accessories for Blackstone than Walmart
Do you have two griddles or is that a different piece of equipment?
That is the pro series prep cart
After using my 36" griddle for the first time to cook for a group, I immediately bought an apron and some grilling gloves because I burned my hands and ruined my shirt from bacon splatter.
One more accessory that is a must have… a trash can
Just unboxed my 36 inch 400 dollar griddle and to my suprise there is no top
I’ve only spent $20 in accessories but i wish i would have watched your video first.
6 commercials in 8 minutes? That is when I bailed.
Let’s be honest allot of these stuff aren’t necessary but Blackstone has great marketing. Haha 👍🏼 I’m also a victim
I wish they would sell side heat shields
I'm gonna like this video. But i'm not watching it. To Long. LOL.
man , they saw you coming, next up blackstone paper plates
lol
Microphone 18% volume...Intro Music...350% volume.
If you can afford it, fine.
