Im in Florida, brand new Blackstone owner, your tips regarding Florida are awesome! Thank you ❤ Just used mine for my bday steak dinner, it totally rocked!
I have spent almost as much on my Blackstone accessories as I have the griddle itself!!! ( 36" Pro Series ) I love it all, and use it all!!! Great Video Brother!
2:40 Well I'll be damned! I've had my BlackStone Spatula's going on 3 years... never knew the bottle opener was there! I don't drink bottled pop or beer anyway, so I've never needed it. Got my Adventure Ready 17" tabletop griddle combo with fryer several years ago for $147. Absolutely love it and had made some good croceries with it. I use the side burner with a cast iron skillet or for boiling water with my RevereWare copper bottom kettle. I'm by myself, so I've never heated up the stainless steel fryer to date. If I need to fry something like fries, I use Grandma's Cast Iron Skillet.
The Blackstone griddle itself is not cast iron, it’s cold rolled steel. You can season it the same way as cast iron though, and you don’t have to worry about breaking it.😊
How do your oil bottles work for you? Leak much? I’ve found they have, that’s why I’ve switched to a sports squeeze water bottle. More oil and no leaks.
Since you are in Humid Florida, Does the large mat keep the griddle from rusting? Assuming you clean, and reoil. Have a friend who has a time dealing with rust.
I have zero issues with my griddle rusting. Yes, I clean and re-oil my griddle after each cook. I have had the grydlmat for over a year and no rusting.
Where did you get the wee man! I am having a hibachi party soon and I would love to be able to pull that out full of sake and have some fun with my guests lol
I was hoping Grydlmat had silicone mats to protect the side shelves from spills and scrapes. Unfortunately, they don’t. So I ordered a roll of orange silicone from Amazon which I will trim to size.
I found them for the 22 inch griddle, on Amazon perfectly sized zero grease on the shelves 2 minutes if that to wash them Totally worth it, if you are like me and hate grease everywhere.
Cast iron should never be washed with soap. Clean with non abrasive utensils or just wipe clean with a wet rag and season the press as you would any cast iron skillet or as you would your BS griddle. This will prevent rust.
Yes. I shared my mistake regarding the press and own the mistake. This error has not been made on my griddle top. I do appreciate the comment and watching the video. Griddle Up🤙
I received a 22 inch Blackstone as a gift on June 21, 2024. While assembling the unit a problem arose. Due to a manufacturing defect the grill would not fit onto the grill body. I notified customer support on the same day. They requested pictures of the problem which I sent that day. FOR ALMOST TWO (2) WEEKS I HEARD NOTHING FROM BLACKSTONE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEN AFTER TWO WEEKS THEY WANTED MORE PICTURES!! I responded that the had all the pictures they needed and should quit the runaround and send me the part! Today is July 8th and still nothing from them! They have the WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND I AM IN MY 70s!!! Good luck if you ever buy anything from this company!!
@@GriddleFoodNetwork You can put soap on cast iron! That whole thing comes from way back in the day when soaps had lye in it and would eat the seasoning right off. Modern dish soap is fine to cut the grease off. Then rinse it as good as you can, set it on your stove top on low heat to fully dry it. Wipe a thin layer of oil on it and it will be fine! Great video.

The black handle he used with the BS scouring pads is called a scotch-bright multi-purpose pad holder 405-r. I found on amazon. Just fyi.

Let me how it works out for the sides?

Wiping cast iron with Olive oil or vegetable oil will help prevent rust.

Some BS accessories are good others not so much. I love their heavy duty scraper
Not a filet knife my brother! As a knife nut I just had to correct that.
is george groves even watching the fight 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cast iron press... shouldn't be using soap on it, season it and treat it like a cast iron skillet.
The new Pitboss non-stick is the way to go!! 👍👍
I will check it out!
until you scratch up the non-stick.
Real men use metal spatulas 🤣🤣
@@Nclght 😁
Can you send me the link for the Scotchbrite handle for the scouring pads. It’s not in the links on your video. Thanks Nick

I thought I was hearing things when you said you put the cast iron press in the dishwasher. SMH
Thanks for watching! Yes, I made an error, shared it and hope others won’t make it. 🤙
Have either of you thought of seasoning the press? If so, how did you do it?
@@tycox8704 you can rub a light coat of oil on it and put it in the oven, but first you need to take this handle off.
i thought Florida didn’t have plumbing ruining water like N.Y. that’s why yhier pizza sucks/
Thanks Chef 🤙‼️

Don’t use soap on cast iron
Of course not!
@@GriddleFoodNetwork but you 1) put soap on the cast iron press...2)you put it in the dishwasher...and 3) you proudly admitted it! the horror!!! lol
@@Nclght Yes, yes and yes. What can I say. I’m far from perfect.
