The day I buy the scrubber/brick to clean my griddle and I’m not happy with the results, I watch this video and you tell me not to buy. 🤦🏼♂️🤷🤣 very satisfied with the water/scrape/coat method. I will be looking into The Ringer
Eventually you will need the brick....as you use it ..the seasoning builds up ....sooner or later it will start to flake off...then it will be time to smooth it by removing some of the seasoning with the brick...then re season it....Just search youtube for how to re-season your griddle....but day to day use you just use the method you have described....enjoy
Wait until your seasoning bites the dust for one reason or another. You'll think differently about that grill brick (it's actually pumice, and should be used with oil). Having said that, I completely stripped a 36" Blackstone with one. Wouldn't really recommend anything else. Unless, of course, you're me, and live in a high moisture area, with a metric ton of humidity, which causes rust, even on the best seasoned surfaces. If it gets too bad, it's a wire wheel on a drill.
What is the product you said is available at The Dollar Tree? Thanks for sharing this, I was about to purchase a lot of things I really don’t need. I do want the item you use to flip and stir also for wind block. Thank you!!😊
Do mean a video showing me using it on the Blackstone? I don’t have a video but you just throw it on there then move it around with your spatula or scraper. I’ve been using it in cast iron pans for years. Same concept.
I have a Blackstone griddle with the grease trap on the back. The lid is an after market type but very similar to yours. When I remove the lid and tr to hang it on the back, the grease trap is in the way causing the lid to hang awkwardly forward. Any suggestions.

Love the harbor freight magnetic holders idea! Definitely outside the box thinking.
Thanks. I wasn’t the originator but love sharing cool tips when I see them.
the food shovel is amazing for hibachi, i use a silcone mat on each side for easy clean up and rest tools on
Yes! Love the food shovel! Nice idea with the mats.
Wow! Great content for people who want to cook with the Blackstone griddle.
Thanks Steve.
Absolutely the best video I've seen thank you

I actually just used the brick about a month ago and wish I hadn’t. I discourage it on a seasoned griddle like this.
Thanks for sharing. I just got my Blackstone for Christmas and can't wait to cook on it.
You’re welcome! Make sure you season it properly before you start cooking! Watch my cleaning video also!
@@GrillThisSmokeThat I watched your video and it seasoned up just perfectly. This morning I’m making breakfast on it.
Awesome video, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! Thanks for all the great ideas!
Lots of great suggestions! I have a few of those, just ordered the food mover!
Nice choice! Do you have any great ones I didn’t mention?

Its a bench knife, dough knife, bench scraper. It has many names but it’s usually in a box on the bottom shelf near the other cooking accessories.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat Thank you so much!!
@@sunny1740 My pleasure!
I'm curious do you have a video on the ringer on the Blackstone griddle?

@@GrillThisSmokeThat while hot and with or without water?
@@CapedCrusader8 While hot is fine and yes use water. That will keep whatever comes up from sticking again.
Can you do a video on cheap/dollar store hacks/ accessories for the black stone
The only one I really know of is the dough cutter.

Mine hooks on the back but also leans against the back of the grease trap. Do you have Instagram? If so, send me a pic on there.
Blackstone griddle is that?
It isn’t sold anymore. I prefer the Weber griddles now.
The link for the salt is not working
Thanks for the heads up. Try it again now or use this link. amzn.to/3psteJy
Yup he’s right those scrubbing pads SUCK!
Haha. Yep.
My ocd wouldn’t let me buy any accessories that weren’t Blackstone 🤦🏻♂️
Blackstone accessories are mostly junk honestly. Their quality is lacking in many areas.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat idk about that I almost have everything and nothing has broke or bent on me.
What Brand Griller do you? Please the link if possible thank you.

I would definitly not go exclusively Blackstone.
