Just got my 36” black stone for fathers day, the first meal was burgers, squash zucchini and onions and it turned out great, then I found your channel and now I’m watching your vids, learning how to turn it up a notch. Smithfield Va here!
Great tips HH, I love my 17" BS! I'm an over the road heavy haul truck driver. Out 3-6 weeks at a time, I use my BS 2-3 times every week out here! I love it! Good home cooked food and easy clean up, the carry case they have is very tough, easy picking it up and toting it out to use. Thanks HH!
Tip: Check out the dollar stores and 5 below stores for trays and bottles. I found bottles for under a $1 each at Walmart in the seasonal section. I also use a grocery store type basket that my friend got me to carry all my tools and bottles & paper towel in. Love it!!!
Hey there Hussey. Bought a 36" Stainless Blackstone and have now cooked 3 meals on it. AND I LOVE IT! So easy to prepare a complete meal on it, using the vast griddle surface. Did some small taters on one side yesterday, with mushrooms and onions on the other, with marinated chicken breasts in the middle. Incredible. Had a little get together last week with relatives with burgers & brats (mushrooms/onions) and they were returnees from a steak dinner a couple weeks ago. It seems we've become way too popular now. Have to increase the grocery budget, I guess. LOL. Anyway, been watching your videos and appreciate your coaching, cuz I'm gettin' better with every griddle meal I prepare. I'm retired and have fallen in love with cookin' for my gals (wife & 101 year old mother who lives with us), and particularly appreciate your tips on the whole process, including cleaning, which is SO fast and simple. THANK YOU! Beef tenderloin tonight!
Just got a Blackstone griddle three weeks ago. These tips are an enormous help. Going to subscribe to your channel because I am a rookie. Thanks from Union County, NC
Got my 36in last night, seasoned and ready! Typed in tips and tricks and here you were, and you have a new subscriber. Looking forward to getting my eats on! Loved the, “ I don’t care where you get it, just get it!” 👍👍
We travel the southwest for six weeks every winter. Last winter our traveling companion cooked breakfast almost every day on his Blackstone griddle. Now I have my own and I'm looking forward to some good eating. Thanks for sharing your tips.
I've been cooking my stuff on my trusty cast iron and using my turkey fryer burner for few years now. Just got the 36in blackstone this weekend. Love it and now the good ol cast is going in the camping bag
Finally broke down and order a Blackstone after quite a bit of research including watching many of your videos. Liked you even more after finding out you're just one county over from us. Thanks for the tips and all the videos showing the great recipes. Keep up the awesome work and God bless you and your family.

Good ole Asheboro! I certainly will look your way. You ever have scraps and will cut? I have a medium big green egg table I've been meaning to get a piece for, but never have.
I just started griddle cooking two weeks ago and, WOW, I am addicted to it. Such amazing results with everything. I've been watching your videos like crazy and love the idea of the corner cooling racks. I'll be getting those very soon. Thank you for all the videos with tips and ideas!
Great tips. Thanks a bunch. Just got a griddle to use while camping and I never would’ve thought about those things and would’ve been forced to learn the hard way.
Thanks! I’ve only had my Blackstone griddle a few days and I really appreciate your tips. I’m getting better at it. My first attempt was hamburgers, smashed potatoes and asparagus. Great tips Hussy. I got one more. I got magnetic hooks at Harbor Freight that I put on the front between the controls to hold spatulas and such. Going to be getting me some wire racks like the one you showed. Thanks.
I've actually got some of those ideas from watching your videos. I absolutely love the cutting board. I use it almost every time now. And now it gives me a chance to do some prep work on film so people actually see how I do it. Great tool to have.
#GREAT idea for a video bro . . I just got the E Series Blackstone, had it shipped from the 🇺🇸 bcuz it’s not available up here in 🇨🇦 until at least mid 2022. I already have one of the squeeze bottles for water to do clean up but bcuz of watching your video I bought more for different oils etc. Also getting an IR Gun, some trays and some cooling/cooking racks of different sizes. #AWESOME tips video whether it’s for indoor or outdoor giddling/bbqing or cooking in general. ALWAYS be prepared and have things handy. Thanks bud and I subscribed, looking forward to watching more of your shhtuff. Until we talk again… stay safe and happy griddling 🥩. Kevin 👊
Just got a brand new Blackstone with built in air fryer. Looooooove this thing!! Probably making 50% of our meals on this thing. I have a ridiculously expensive Wilmington Grill that's now on the "back burner"! (Pun intended!) Still learning how to use this griddle so I really appreciate your tips!

I really like your videos. Your personality comes through and its very cool. Thanks for the tips. I'm planning on ordering my first Blackstone next week. Subscribed and liked all the videos I've seen so far!
Great video bro! One other tool I’ve found that comes in handy is a digital level. I move my Blackstone around a lot and set it up on uneven surfaces and we all know these things don’t work so well when all the oil flows to the corner or right in to the drip rail
Thank you for the tips!! That paper towel holder is the bomb!!! Just got it today after ordering yesterday!! Great quality, heavy duty, strong magnets! Mounted it under my shelf on my 36” Blackstone. Keep doing what you do, brother! Trying to catch up on your recipes! ✌🏼

Just grabbed the new Blackstone Griddle and Air Fryer combo - cannot wait to do the unboxing and seasoning - so glad I found this video - excellent advice man! Smashed the like button, and I subbed and hit the notification bell!
Hey! whats your thoughts after all this time? is the air fryer/warmer box all its cracked up to be? AND most importantly, how much have you actually used it and would you be so inclined to get those features again if you were buying all over again? THANKS!!!
To add some context, I actually wanted this model, but then saw a few ppl say that they got it too and were stoked for it, but found they ended not using it nearly as much as they thought they would, and probably wouldn't grab it again unless the price was way cheaper for it.
@@GitSum0987 hey man! We actually partnered with Pit Boss, but I can say, with 4 kiddos, we used the air fryers all the time. It was absolutely worth it. When doing burgers, I’d always toss fries or tots in. To us, it was totally worth it.
I got a couple of 9x13 cheep metal pans from Wal-Mart that I use as a melting/steaming dome also good to take stuff to the grill. I got a magnet from Harbor Freight and attached a wooden cabinet knob to use as a finger saver using the dome.
Nice tip Norm! I use an old lid from a pot I don't have and I have the Blackstone lid. Gotta have a lid for sure buddy! Great hack on your end with your lids! Plus they have plenty of room too! Nice one!
Hi HH, good video. I don't cook on a large scale, so all the meats I cook I already know how to cook properly, even though I don't know the 'numbers'. I love the tray idea. I think we need to get one, maybe two.....prep food and cooked food. We cook over charcoal....it's low-scale, but it's all we need and it works for us. I use almost night lighter fluid. I start the charcoal with a torch....lol. We like that we can get a flame going with the charcoal. Maybe at some point we will go to a gas grill, but we do very little cooking, so it's not worth it, but I DO like the ideas. We also like to use a mortar and pestle for salt and peppercorns. Large chucks of each, pounded into the meat before cooking and any other seasoning we like to add just a bit before removing it, so it doesn't fall away. I like the metal racks. I use those for cooking chicken roasters, meatloaf and roast beef in the oven. It keeps the meat up off the bottom and allows more even cooking from the underside. The ginkgo biloba....yeah, that's a fishing lure made to catch the fisherman, not the fish. Don't fall for that crap. Thanks HH for getting my mind 'cooking'!
I've wanted a mortar and pestal for some time now, I may just treat myself soon! The racks are great, not only for griddle cooking too, as you have outlined. I haven't bought the ginko since college. Haha.
I have a small'ish one. I love using it. You can control the size chunks you want. I got mine at TJ Maxx, but you could probably find a decent one at The Pampered Chef, or online, of course. I 'clean' it using just a damp paper towel, or you could use a clean cloth but only water, and just damp, not wet. It will retain the oils and residue of what you grind. Adding cleaners will taint the taste. :)
The Hungry Hussey Hey Huss! I’ve been wanting to contribute to the channel somehow for a while now. If you pick out a nice mortar and pestle and put it on your Amazon wish list, I’d love to get it for you. Just let me know once it’s there.

Hack i'd like to share with you, I love my Blackstone and one of my pet peeves is when i'm getting ready to do some cooking, i have to get the top ready. After it's been sitting i don't trust the top to cook on right away so i heat it up and scrape, wipe, re-oil and etc. what a pain. What i do now is scrape it off right after using it and let it cool. Then i lay saran wrap across the surface, 2-3 sheets covers it, i wipe away all of the air bubbles and then cover it. The next time i want to use it, i just peel off the wrap, heat it up and get with it. I do this on both my griddles and it works great!
I just scored a used 24" commercial griddle & bought the parts to covert it to LP gas. It's going in my outdoor kitchen & your tips are really super helpful. Looking forward to more!

HEY BROTHER, that was a awesome job at explaining tips for your Black Stone Griddle, I have one a love it but you just gave me some great idea's , so thanks so much for your advice my friend. I subbed your channel a long time ago back when you first started, so man keep up the fantastic videos, I love watching them. AWESOME JOB. GOD BLESS YOU !!!!!
Thank you Joe! Appreciate your support and glad you enjoyed this video.
Great tips brother! Definitely need to get me one of them heat guns. Have a great week.
It's so much better to know the temp instead of relaying where the knobs are.
Great tips! Going to get the magnetic paper towel holder; will get a second for parchment paper (smash burgers). One question, how’s the Barbie doll on the table work with griddling? LOL! Oh, I also appreciate the stores you named Brother.
Thanks for the tips! Great videos, keep it up.
Thank you Pat!
some great idea's. I already use squeeze bottles for oil and vinagers. I would maybe add a domed lid for melting cheese.
Hi Kirk! Great note about the lid. I have two I use and didn't think to feature that. Good for steaming and cooking veggies too!
@@thehungryhussey yes good for that also.
Thanks for the tips! Just subbed to your channel! I have a 22” BS and love it.
Awesome Ric! Thanks for the sub and the support.
Those are some great tips! Thank you for sharing!

Hey Huss! Thanks for all the great tips, brother! Love being schooled by a true master. It looks like Spring has sprung down in NC. Seems like you’ve got a really nice little plot down there. Looking forward to a whole new batch of vids this Spring and Summer. Also, (no pressure) but I’m still looking forward to seeing that Hussy’s Homemade BBQ Sauce vid. Until next time, be well my friend!
Thanks D! Spring is coming around. Trees are budding and grass/weeds are getting going as well.
I do have to get that Q sauce! I have a hectic April, so I might get that shot so I can post then when I may not be able to get a food cooking type video out.
Just found your channel and subscribed. I’m just across NC Line in Virginia keep up the great videos
Thanks my friend.
