Have you reported this back to the seller? I bought via the UK amazon site but know that these units are also for sale via ebay sellers. Mine has been flawless since install so can only imagine you have been sent the wrong kit in error?
Your problem with your volume Being too loud is probably because you did not completely turn your volume down on your OEM head unit before removing it.
I thought so too. But I disconnected the unit, put the old one back in, and checked the vol was all the way down. Same effect. Had to correct via the equaliser, works great now.

However, if I disconnect a certain plug, the noise doesn’t happen, but also the system doesn’t turn off with the car. Only thing is the touchscreen for climate controls, I prefer old school physical buttons but was it worth paying double for the dynavin just for that, probably not. Other than that its an excellent upgrade over the stock unit and glad I took the risk. Bit fiddly to set up sound wise as I mention in my vid but you only need to do that once.
