An update to our earlier video on how to program your Valentine One Radar Detector best for Australia. I now recommend NOT using euro mode for Western Australia, hence the reason for this update.
@shafranus Make sure K-band is turned on. Putting it in Euro mode increases K-band sensitivity, but it will then miss the Stalkers. Try mounting it vertically too.
@kymbodrum They use K-band in any cars that are operating dash mounted radar (also called moving radar). Problem with dash mounted radar is that it cannot tell you which car is the one that is resulting in the speed being shown on the LCD screen, so the officer must make a judgement call on what vehicle is the one speeding. In built up traffic, this is almost useless, hence dash mounted radar (K-band in WA) is rarely used in built up (city) areas where there's lots of traffic.
Do you have Poliscan's in Canada? The 3 dashes when detecting laser is normal. There is no "signal strength" when it comes to laser, it's all or nothing. But as for Poliscan it'ss very difficult to detect - ESPECIALLY when the laser is set up shooting cars from behind AFTER they pass the camera. In this scenario, your only defence is to mount 2 jammers on the rear of your car, each facing out at a 45 degree angle (the left sensor faces left side of road by 45deg and right sensor faces right side
Forget to tell that where I live, I guess we use US more that AU or Euro modes (Not sure, that's why I turned (u) down) But there are A LOT of speed and red light cameras !!
after turning off x and pop, after staring up it will have a P letter then an A. what does those letters mean? also I mount mine half way in the windshield, bettter to mount near rear view mirror?
Hey delonixradar, Thanks for the great job but I have a question my version is 3.872, now does that make a difference in programming wise? I just recently got mine today and was just curious on how to program it.
I have Valentine One but with some issues: 1- I need to increase sensitivity for (Poliscan/speed camera/low beam/low power detection). I get detection as (three vertical dashes - - - but with very low distance ~40/80 m 2- Block false signals from malls and shops (I got a lot of them). Mine is 3.872 with (H down/u down/ü down) .. all others are up. Can you help?

@kymbodrum I have mine set to 30 seconds (max) but to be honest, I turn K-band off if driving city/suburbs. Turn it back on when driving down south.

yes it does work in CA - unless you bought a second hand one that's damaged???

my v1 that i just received in the mail 3.872 is now starting up, going to A and then about 10 seconds later goes to E and beeps

P means it is has a different program other than factory.
where can i download those instructions you have?
