      Yup. It's frustrating Because before, this Grievous killed over 100 Jedi despite this tactic being used. He overcame it. Now it's just... Horrible writing for his character. I hate what filoni did to him

    • @popsjr
      @popsjr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @THE VOID I know, but that's what made Grievous so impressive. He would drop in unexpectedly, usually alone, face the Jedi, be quick, and have them divert all of their force ability to defense, and eventually overwhelm them or outsmart them. That's who he is, and the fact that he had over 100 made it so impressive. Then the clone wars came, and while I love the show, completly made a joke out of a Jedi hunter. Losing every single encounter. That's just absurd. Not to mention he still had his reputation in this show, look at the collection. But they chose to treat him like a "Saturday morning cartoon villian"

In each fight we see him in (except the one on florrum against ashoka) , He's against members of the jedi council members who are the best of the best in the whole jedi order and he defeats most of them at some point or another, often with the force being the only thing that saves them or Grievous not just straight up executing them when he defeats them (Eeth Koth and Adi Gallia).

    I feel like in the revenge of the sith it was implied that the Jedi didn’t know that grevious was a lightsaber combatant. He says something like “you fool, ive been trained in your Jedi arts by count dooku,” and obi-wan looks surprised. I think they shouldn’t have included his lightsaber fights in the clone wars prior to rots or at least not revealed his 4 arms.

      no, they did. Both canon and legends the council knew grievous was a lightsaber duelist. Grievous only stated he was trained by dooku to boast to obi wan that obi wan stood no chance if he was taught by one of the greatest swordsman of the era and instill fear into him.

    Kenobi is considered the ultimate master of form 3. His mentality stays in form 3 even though he incorporates maneuvers and techniques originating from other forms they still accomplish the goal of form 3 (Ataru centric flips and acrobatics utilized for defensive maneuvering rather than trying to exploit flanks or different attack vectors).
    This is why Windu considers Kenobi's mastery of form 3 to be the true sign of swordsmanship mastery within the order. Kenobi isn't just limits to the traditional strikes and blocks found in form 3 but can bring in techniques not usually associated with form 3 without leaving the mindset or breaking form.

      He was. The EU fight scene in the 4v1 was a special case since they were all exhausted. When he fought Koth he held his own but was force pushed - an error since he failed to follow the advice dooku gave him in the EU. He did fine against Fisto, killing his apprentice who had just become a Jedi knight. In multiple fights against Obi Wan, there were many situations where he almost killed him. Against Ventress, the novelisation states he was toying with her. Frankly the 2 Grievous’ can be reconciled with each other 80% of the time. Only mistake TCW made was not giving him a few no-name Jedi (just 2 or 3) that Grievous could kill on screen.

He did not feel bad about them at all, he straight up called them improvements in the liar of Grievous episode. You can even see how his body changed over time from modifications if you look carefully at the statues.

    The only thing was your comment In fencing, in fencing the goal isnt to hit the hand. Its to remove the ability for them to counter and extension or lunge. Usually this includes a beat (basically smacking the epee) or a parry the simplest parry is when you lock the blades. The more advanced can basically make them drop the blade. Thank you for reading, have a lovely day.

    I'll give you a small hint that you seem to have mistaken. During their second to last battle on coruscant Anakin and Obi-Wan don't take Grievous's lightsabers. They simply use the force on their own lightsabers that a droid gave to grievous. So technically you're right and technically you're wrong.

    I remember watching this video comic on the Lego site where a special holocron could cause time travel, this would be a priority target to a set of bounty hunters and the mandalorian death watch. Them, Jedi masters Sassee Tin and Shakk Ti, and their special clone force would end up seeing the past and future, including a battle on endor where clone troopers would see their fate as becoming stormtroopers and fighting them.
    I wonder what would happen if time travel was possible in the Star Wars Galaxy, and how each faction would use it.
