My 08 1500 5.7 himmi has 328,000 on it and it's still running strong only things I've changed is normal wear parts i still use full synthetic oil in every 3500 miles it's been a good truck
My 2006 Ram Hemi 1500 has 110k miles has been a great rig. It had a blend door issue early on. Door actuator stock is plastic which breaks and can be permanently fixed with a metal one. Minor interior issues. The motor is solid. Never had a problem.
@ryanhemming9546 my interior was ment till I put an system in now it's done broke everything inside 2 12 on 7k 152 outlaw , eventually I plan to restore it but going to go with a hell cat engine and trans going to turn it into a sleeper but those plans are a long way out lol , the most I've had to do to mine is oil changes, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, and new suspension , breaks and tires I didn't have to change the plugs until 280 k miles so I'm not complaining at all
I am the original owner of a '05 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel. It's a tank and has driven me across the country, coast to coast, more than once, has taken me into the backcountry more times than I can count. It has run flawlessly.
I had to give up on GM pickups. Owned a 1969, 1975 & 1999 (all 1/2 tons). All were always in the shop, especially the 75 & 99. Have had three Rams since, a 2003 3/4 ton, 2016 Mega Cab with a Cummins and a 2022 1500 Limited. All three have been good trucks.
I got a 2001 F150 309,000 Mi on it I've had it for 13 years I use it for a work truck it has literally been the best truck I've ever owned it's got the 4/6 in it
Man those engines are hit or miss like most of the people I know that have own or still own one said they are amazing motors but I here other people saying that they just have problem after problem but I’ve never seen one with under 200k miles and the owners say they love them
By that logic is my 2010 ford explorer a truck? 4.6l v8 body on frame design. Lots of people call 4 runners trucks. I call it a truck. Is a crown vic a truck? body on frame v8..?
What was skipped is EV Truck range is cut in half or worse if towing. Also range is depending on assents via hills. Then there is the battery issues in cold weather and extreme heat. Other than that a good list.
lol as a previous owner, i completely agree. Funny tho some people have had luck with those trucks. I think to keep the cam phasers healthy you gotta be doing extremely frequent oil changes.
I would ask where you got this info? 30 most reliable vehicles list came out using over 400 million odometer readings. And the top one was the Toyota tundra.., So I ask again where you got this info.
All these pick ups are very nice, but would be better if they did not have all the computer stuff in them. Because you could then fix them your self and service them with out the need of a computer degree. When the little black boxes/brain goes wrong, your screwed!
They don’t sell because they don’t break down. You have to break down before you buy new . My first truck was an 81 Ford. F150, 5 L engine always started no matter how cold, but had no power and used a lot of fuel . Next, truck a GMC Sierra with a 305 /5 ltr I sold that one because I needed more power. Next one, 1995 GMC sierra 350 engine had just under 500,000 km when I got rear ended so bad it bent my frame then I least an 06 4.8 l then traded it in for an 08 for a 5.3 L that one I drove for 210,000 km and traded it in for a 2015 which I’m still driving and I have never had to do anything to my trucks except maintenance the reason I traded the new ones is for right off purposes for business and I want new trucks I always say if it doesn’t give you trouble why switch brands . my brother has a 2011 dodge ram 290,000 km has never done anything except maintenance. I say they are all good as long as you take care of them except the ridge line that’s not a truck shouldn’t even be in there and just by the way that 3.5 eco-boost terrible engine and so is the 5.4 the new 5 L Ford engine is a great engine if I was to buy a Ford that would be the engine I would choose
The 4.6 is a much better choice, as it had less reliability issues, than the 5.4 liter!! The 4.6 liter was used in the Crown Vic police pursuit and taxi models!!
@johnc1014 it might be but it retains incredible value because of its reputation for reliability. Ram is easy to make reliable and it has poor resale- perfect for me. Ram has a pushrod 5.7 with 395hp that beats the dohc 4 valve toyota with better gas mileage too!
@johnc1014 I'd agree those years tundra is the most reliable stock truck. But you can modify any of several Chevys Fords and esp Rams to be just as reliable and they're much cheaper to buy and the rams have a better ride and much better interior.
Oh, forgot to mention.....my F350 7.3L only costs $175.00 per year in upkeep. These figures you mention of $700-800 for these other trucks is proof that Ford builds a better truck.
Funny, i didnt see the probably 2 best engines and trucks listed. SBC 350 and either the 5.0 or 5.8 351... My 92 GMC k1500 is more dependable than all these vehicles. Plus everything is mechanical, no electric gremlins can slow me down. And super cheap and easy to repair. Couple quick mods like shorty headers and k&n air filter with a slightly bigger exhaust i went from 9mpg to 16.5mpg at 65mph. Plus engine modifications are basically limitless. Yet this age of chevy or fords isnt even listed. So im guessing this video is either government propaganda or auto manufacturers propaganda, not an actual report on the longest lasting trucks, since ya know we have recorded history going back further than the 2000's 😂😂😂
My last Chevrolet was my last Chevrolet and had a 305 V8 that it made in Mexico three years I owned it three motors two transmissions had to get my old blue Ford out and start using it is 74 F1 hundred with 499,000 miles on it I can get where I wanna go with it
Dodge builds the worst, lowest resale value, trucks on the road. They ride like a rock is strapped to your ass. Owned a 1993 model and brother owned a 2008 Cummins. Both were terribly-built vehicles. I do not know how they can dare ask the prices Chrysler asks for these POS. No thank you. I will just treasure my 2002 Ford F350 7.3litre Power Stroke Crew Cab with only 39,862 miles, always garaged and properly maintained. It's got at least another 400,000 miles left in it. Ford builds the best trucks of any brand in the world. I had an old, 1987 F150 as a work truck that lasted for 380,000 miles with the 5.8litre.
@@stevenpeterson7234 It's clear there will be no reasonable arguments. Average guy here wants trucks to show off his American style...!! He probably also has a ton of money to throw in the trash too so...!! Good for him I guess..!!
My 5.4 with 251k that I’ve driven around the country begs to differ.. all original timing components, transmission was replaced before my timing components but other than that it’s been real solid. Eyeballing a 2018 Z71 Silverado and glad I did my research those are literal pos. Almost pulled the trigger on one till I found out what the owners had to say about them.
No way in hell I would buy a dodge! Guy I work with has a 2022 Ram, hood edge is already rusted, every person I know has always changed transmissions and in one instance the trans went out within the first 1000 miles! No way STAY AWAY FROM DODGE! Want proof? See if you see any Dodge sprinter vans in your area I GUARANTEE They are rusted out!
You mention the Honda Ridgeline twice in your assessments. First of all, it is not even considered a real pickup, being based on a minivan. Secondly, its engine is bassackwards and front wheel drive! That is NOT a truck and should not even be among these other real trucks.
Sounds like this dude embarrassed about his man card. Ridgeline isn't a minivan and base on a pilot with awd. Know you cars before talking 💩. Oh yeah btw..it can do the same as a real truck while real truck drive pay $80 for gas just to drive in a small town and never see off road or towing 😂

False
