  • @Invid72
    @Invid72 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +92

    You're really going to appreciate the USB-C port when you're offloading your video footage off the phone. Massive difference from lightning and actually encourages you to use the iPhone camera because it's not painful to get the data off. ProRes is just gravy. Now that you have MagSafe, you can pick up a bedside MagSafe charger too. Not required but a nice addition. I did the same 11 to 15 Pro upgrade myself and was a bunch of little things that made it worthwhile.

      magsafe is kinda gimmicky to me ngl but the USB C port sounds like a godsend. I have a 13 pro rn so i likely wont upgrade for at least 2 years but not having to deal with a fucking lightning cable anymore sounds incredible. It actually turns your phone into something much more usable for actual real tech shit lol. Like for me im not a youtube but being able to plug in my usb c thumb drive will be so gd helpful.

    • @HalloVasallo
      @HalloVasallo 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I bet the USB-C is also a lot less demanding /prone to damage from abrasion or uneven forces when a tensioned cable is pulling on the connector sideways. That way i made my port unusable over a year or so and ordered a spare part. Somehow i damaged the speakers on my 11 in the process. Also the rounded edges stick in more smoothly and are easier to get on the first try. Not gonna look back to stupid lightning.

    • @Invid72
      @Invid72 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ricochet4674 Lightning is a more robust connector than USB-C. The only problem with it was the slow transfer and charge speeds. As far as Magsafe goes...you should try it. It's super convenient to just drop your phone on a charge pad and the magnets lock the alignment for maximum efficiency automatically. I had a Qi charger before that I never used because it was so finicky to align my iPhone 11 and get it to charge. With Magsafe it sucks itself into position and you get the best possible charge rate automatically. Pretty awesome.

We could get 360hz 8k displays on phones, but it wont make a noticeable difference from what we have right now. I think there will never be a phone with a big enough performance gap from the iPhone 15. We will only keep on upgrading our phones because its cool and not because its actually a better phone.

Don't use my phone the same for photography and videography so in that regard it's kind of a waste of money but that culmination of features over the last 4 years has made it pretty worth it. Two reasons: Updates and Battery. If you use a phone from 2012 you have not been getting updates on that phone for years which doesn't matter too much when it comes to new features but I wouldn't like to have a phone without up to date security updates. Obviously also depends on what you have on your phone like is there important data on it or not if not that makes updates a lot less of an issue. And now the big reason called battery. I own a galaxy S21 and have owned that phone for a little over 3 years at this point. It still works fine but I definitely can tell the battery has degraded over time and when I know the battery will just keep getting worse and there is also a limited amount of time left the phone will get updates I rather upgrade to a new device and sell my old one rather than replace the battery (which also gets rid of the water resistance the phone has) and then own a phone that doesn't get updates in the future. Probably going to switch to a new phone in the next few months. I am looking at the Nothing phone 2a since I don't really need a flagship.

      @@serpentinegaming531 The thing is apple is just being greedy not putting 120hz on the base models that still cost close to a grand. Meanwhile on the Android side basically any phone over $300 has a 120hz AMOLED screen. It wouldn't cost them much to add 120hz screens to the base model iPhones but they want to create an incentive for people to spend more on the Pro phones. Big reason I stay away from Apple when they blatantly rip people off same with USB 2.0 on the base models. Most people won't care about those things especially if they always had iPhones in the past they don't know what they are missing when it comes to 120hz or the faster USB 3.0 transfer speeds but I can't support that stuff.

    Also, the action button is amazing too, as I set it to trigger a Shortcut that does different things depending on the orientation of my device. If I hold it like when I do to take pictures and press the action button it opens the camera App. If I hold it on the other direction it activates Do not disturb, which is nice when I'm trying to watch a video but start getting tons of notifications. If I press it with the phone held upright it turns the flashlight on. If I press it in any other direction it toggles Silent mode, just like the old physical switch
