      Yes, that's nice. My 6 years old SE (2016 model) is still in use - I replaced battery once after first 4 years, and next battery's health (2 years in use) is still 98% (although capacity is worth than original). I use it caseless, and despite multiple drops, it's got only few scars on aluminium frame, the screen is still has no scratches even minor. The main problem is that despite 7 years of support, it gets only security updates now, and the latest available OS is IOS15... Hence some important modern applications can't be installed. Screen size is not either not relevant sometimes for modern apps, and it pushes to upgrade the phone.
      But is just great to use a phone many years without necessity to upgrade it.

Massive difference from lightning and actually encourages you to use the iPhone camera because it's not painful to get the data off. ProRes is just gravy. Now that you have MagSafe, you can pick up a bedside MagSafe charger too. Not required but a nice addition. • @HalloVasallo
      @HalloVasallo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I bet the USB-C is also a lot less demanding /prone to damage from abrasion or uneven forces when a tensioned cable is pulling on the connector sideways. That way i made my port unusable over a year or so and ordered a spare part. Somehow i damaged the speakers on my 11 in the process. Also the rounded edges stick in more smoothly and are easier to get on the first try. Not gonna look back to stupid lightning.

    • @Invid72
      @Invid72 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ricochet4674 Lightning is a more robust connector than USB-C. The only problem with it was the slow transfer and charge speeds. As far as Magsafe goes...you should try it. It's super convenient to just drop your phone on a charge pad and the magnets lock the alignment for maximum efficiency automatically. I had a Qi charger before that I never used because it was so finicky to align my iPhone 11 and get it to charge. With Magsafe it sucks itself into position and you get the best possible charge rate automatically. Pretty awesome.

      Two reasons: Updates and Battery. If you use a phone from 2012 you have not been getting updates on that phone for years which doesn't matter too much when it comes to new features but I wouldn't like to have a phone without up to date security updates. Obviously also depends on what you have on your phone like is there important data on it or not if not that makes updates a lot less of an issue. And now the big reason called battery. I own a galaxy S21 and have owned that phone for a little over 3 years at this point. It still works fine but I definitely can tell the battery has degraded over time and when I know the battery will just keep getting worse and there is also a limited amount of time left the phone will get updates I rather upgrade to a new device and sell my old one rather than replace the battery (which also gets rid of the water resistance the phone has) and then own a phone that doesn't get updates in the future. Probably going to switch to a new phone in the next few months. I am looking at the Nothing phone 2a since I don't really need a flagship.

The photos and videos from my 13 mini still look really good to my eye and battery life usually is enough to get me through the day. Big reason I stay away from Apple when they blatantly rip people off same with USB 2.0 on the base models.
