phone repair guru actually looked into it, the weak point on the back glass is due to the metal plate that all other parts are anchored to isnt directly attached to the glass this year. even on the 14 and 15 where they open from the back the metal backplate is attached to the glass and for those they have another backplate just behind the display for all the components to attach to

As if one giant glass plate on one side wasn't enough, Apple has 2, both of which can be broken if it is dropped. "Apple may reject your warranty claim if you use a non-approved cable."
This is *OBJECTIVELY* false in at least the US and EU.
In the US electronics were moved under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, which specifies that the manufacturer must prove that the use of a non-authentic cable was the cause of the device failure.
Testing, logistics, and lawsuit costs make it so manufacturers have dropped the nonsense "warranty void if removed" enforcement and, alongside it, "unapproved accessories can void your warranty issues."

Different actions for the action button in different focus modes is my suggestion for features. I mean, if you go to the movies all the time, set a geolocation focus for movies and set it to ring/silent, during work you can have it set to open a specific app or maybe flashlight depending on what you do for work, then have a vacation focus that makes the action button a camera quickdraw. That would just make it perfect along with Linus's idea for the double press or hold. Certainly miles better than the backtap feature

I think when testing any phone, iPhone, Samsung, Pixel, etc. maybe having the Software version listed as well could also be helpful. I know when new phones rollout there are always hot fixes in terms of updates so testing on an older version versus a new version could lead to slight discrepancies. It could also be negligible but I do feel like it could help those who look at the charts have a better overall understanding.

there are a lot of issue with apple 15 and pro including Battery time it does not last as long as 13 or 14 when making Video and it last less then half as long as the new Samsung when doing live or recorded video , cameras are nice but the difference in the Picture from the last 2 is minimal . for gamer also battery life can be a huge bummer unless you plan on playing plumaged you have to catch the 15 and pro shortly after it goes below 50 percent or it simply cant keep up many vlogger are simply using the 15 for Shorts and run there older apple or there Samsung for the record and live vlogs . many find the screen brightness not sale feature in any way its to bright in side and to Bright outside in the daylight . the Colors and look are great but print are easy to see hard to get rid of and if you have finger nail many are saying they scratch very easy .

When I heard about the "action button," I immediately thought about the "Bixby button" on my Samsung phone, but I had the opposite reaction to Linus because the finger-scan button on my Samsung phone does single press, double-tap, and scan finger gestures, all of which can call up specific programs or do OS functions. (I think some of that is part of Samsung's Good Lock program, which adds a lot of other functionality too.) At any rate, Samsung's already got "next level" functionality which Apple seemed to think was good enough to copy. (That happens all the time. I'm not dissing Apple for recognizing a good thing and using it.)
With all the varied concerns about "3rd Party" USB cables, it is good to see that Apple now has the same functionality as Android for using headphones, USB A, and video out using that USB-c connection. Having recently had to get an Apple-specific video adapter for someone else, being able to use what's already in my kit is great.

However, this does not stop me from criticizing every single company that decides to release a new phone that still doesn't have these features, including the phones that I buy. Nowadays, I go for the flagship phone that has the most features for a decent price. Last time I was looking for a new phone, I was deciding between Asus, Sony, and ZTE. Next time I shop for a phone, I will likely be deciding between the same companies, since they seem to be the only ones I can think of that release flagship phones that still have features. You better believe that I criticize Asus or whichever company's phone I happen to be using every time they fail to include these awesome features.

I really hate Apple and their anti-consumer practices, but honestly the Aluminum-Titanium frame was such a smart idea, it's extremely durable....the problem? Why the HELL did they decide to put a glass back on the phone? It's like they WANT users to be like "Oh look, it's so hard and durable!" then drop it on the floor for the back to break so they feel inclined to buy a new one.
Apple is still one of the most disgusting companies with horrible ideas that I can't FATHOM why people continue to fanboy/girl over them.

You can’t have wireless charging (also no MagSafe) with a metal back. You need glass or plastic.

@@blablubb1234 I would rather a plastic back honestly, or hell I'd use whatever Samsung uses now (which I know is glass, but I've seen teenagers purposely drop their phones to show how "Durable" their phone is and it just chips away when it hits the pavement/concrete), where it still cracks, but not enough to completely break it like the Galaxy S10 and S9 phones used to.
JerrySwoleMuscleman being able to break it THAT much shows
      A.) He's fucking YOLKED man
      and
B.) It really shouldn't have done THAT much damage from pushing in on it to completely crack the entirety of the back.
I get part of the issue was the fact that the phone would not bend, which is a star in my book, but what's the point if you can literally shatter the entire thing and just make it a hand hazard. I get there's no perfect material to make these phones out of, but I still feel like iPhones are made to break to sell more (considering their stance on right to repair).
Edit: I still don't like Samsung's Gorilla Glass backs because they can still break from miniscule shit, but I'm still glad it's durable....still rather have plastic

I was interested and planning on upgrading to this... but while some overheating issues can likely be sorted in software, the fragile back glass is really making me have second thoughts about it. It breaks so easily, even when dropped from just hip height. Just a small bend as well is enough. Just don't wanna buy a device I have to keep fix...

Opening any app is one tiny fraction of what you can do with the action button on iPhone 15 Pro. I don't know if there is an Android equivalent, but you can essentially do anything using shortcuts on iOS, and you can configure the action button to activate a shortcut, hence, almost infinite configurability.
