KTC H27T22 UPDATE: Some people are receiving a different version of the H27T22 that's using a different panel (from Innolux vs the original by AUO). KTC confirmed to me that the H27T22 now comes with either of these two panels, both versions coming in the same brown box. I don't know yet how the new version performs, so my review and the S-tier ranking only apply to the original AUO version! I urged them to choose a different name for the new Innolux version.
I picked up innolux version and I have to say, the panel uniformity and backlight bleed is pretty bad. My old BenQ TN panel performs better. Quite a disappointment.
I actually bought the ktc h27t22 last year after your review and I'm super happy with it. For 250€ it's an excellent monitor, especially compared to the other 1440p monitor prices around that time
I hope its better quality than the last Chinese brand monitor I bought, a Viotek which the screen is going out asking for an early death. Its less than 5 years old and was very lightly used. Like it was actually not in use at all for 2 of those years.
I got the alienware one because of you, there was a deal going on and i couldnt refuse. Overall I'm very happy going from 1080p to 1440p and the thin bezels makes it look very modern, now that i like higher res im also curious about 4k.
I got the alienware one too, since I really loved their monitors, but my ips bleed was so bad that nightimes in games looked like day. Sadly had to return it. Now I am thinking about either buying a new one or getting a different brand like lg (without the bad ips bleed the alienware one definitely would be one of the coolest monitors I have had)

Looking forward to seeing that 4k redmagic monitor with 5088 local dimming zones. Would like to see them make a 1440p one with just as many zones or close.
I would ask you to clarify that the KTC H27T22 monitor you reviewed is not the same as what people can buy now in the shop under the same brand. You, like many others on TH-cam had AUO M270DAN08.2 matrix, but it was quickly replaced by a more budget Innolux M270KCJ-Q7E (has 2 HDMI outputs). So when suggesting people to buy KTC H27T22 it would be fair to point out that the manufacturer has long since changed the matrix on these models and the image quality is already different.
@@ManuzDio From how I understand the parent comment, you can do the following: Count the number of HDMI ports on your new monitor. One HDMI port = the model that techless tested. Two HDMI ports = the model that is sometimes shipped instead.

I do light video editing but I'm not a professional so colour accuracy is not of importance to me. My only gripe with it is the stand - I wish it was either flat or had "legs" instead of curved platform. Minor nitpick, easily fixable by mounting the monitor on the arms.

Got the Innocn 27g1s couple of weeks back. No dead pixels, no flickering, no backlight bleeding anywhere. Feels such a huge upgrade from my XL2411 144hz with the price tag of 260 euros. Super happy with your recommendation.
The Innocn 27g1s is over $400 on Amazon, and the listing it previously pointed to is now a 144hz IPS panel monitor, and their own website now lists it as a 144hz monitor in the specs and subtitle, despite a picture of a 240hz monitor. Now, I don't know how much of that is being in the US vs Europe, a mix up on their end, or what, but it feels difficult to trust. I also worry about the color accuracy of a VA panel over IPS, though honestly I'm sure I'd be happy with any of the S, A, or B tier monitors over what I have. I think I'll aim for one of the IPS panels just due to the VRR issue you mentioned, as that's my biggest desired use case of VRR in the 150FPS range.
If ur woried about the color accuracy of the va pannel check some of its reviews from a multitude of dofferent sources mininmizing the risks of bias and unit to unit variation
Could you maybe do a video covering setup and use of an OLED screen? I see lots of questions with people not knowing how to use Windows 11 HDR (leave it constantly on or toggle it on/off of for specific games), auto-HDR, tips for protecting against burn-in, clear-type fonts on/off etc. Could be interesting with the boom in OLED gaming screens. I get the feeling many are not impressed by their OLED purchases as they're using them incorrectly or have the entirely wrong user case.
I want to add a topic. Many PC gamers are missing out on a better image quality when they have a good rig or one that can run games PS5 and Series X equally but playing on 1080p or 1440p monitors. There is also a myth that 1080p or 1440p look worse on a 4k monitor but that is wrong because those games look better on the 4k display due to much better pixel density on a similar size. Pixel density is what matters more than many think. The best thing is 4k 28 inch and 4k 32 inch but 32 is almost too large up close, especially for shooter and 1st person games.

I feel like some reviewers got cherry picked samples but their QC is horrible. I sent it back after a few days.
I have bought m27q x during black friday with quite a discount and waited a month for it to onlu find out it has a bad pixel in upper middle quadrant of the display. Such a shame I cannot get another one for the same price after my return
Awesome video once again! I would have never imagined that the KTC H27T22 would get even cheaper than 250€ here in Germany, but now its only 200€ on Amazon 😅 Obviously I don't regret my purchase, I happily recommend it to my friends :)
KTC H27T22 only sells around 110€ here in China right now. It looks too good to be true. I thought there must be a catch somewhere. It turned out to be way better than its competitors in this price range.
A couple of years ago, I bought the Optix G241 after I saw your video because it checked pretty much all the boxes I had and I liked the Color Performance and Contrast. To this day, I'm still incredibly pleased with it but I am entertaining the idea of moving up to 1440p but I just really want a 1440p version of the G241. Lol. Which of these perform the closest to it in terms of colors?
I purchased the Gigabyte M27Q X after this. It is quick, but not sure it is much better than the latest 180 hz 1440p monitors coming out now… 180hz vs 240hz but not much better total response time + input lag for a price premium.??
240hz IPS 1440p monitors are too expensive I feel, and not worth the extra money. 34" 3440x1440 QD-OLED 175hz monitors have been coming down in price a lot recently. For example I can get a Philips Evnia 34M2C6500/00 for 6990NOK which is a QD oled monitor which is a much better monitor than any 240hz QHD IPS monitor. And I would say it is more value for the money as well, In comparasion the cheapest QHD 240hz+ monitor costs 4390NOK. The refresh rate is a little bit lower but a OLED monitor is smoother at the same refresh rate compared to a IPS monitor.
AOC released a new 240hz 1440p oled monitor which is using the same panel as the LG monitor you are dailying for 200 dollars less. id love to see your take on it.
I think the Dell G2724D is the best value 1440p monitor on the market at around £250-£300 and regularly can be found cheaper. I bought mine on sale at £209 couple of months ago It has all the specifications a gamer needs like 165Hz, 1ms response time, G-Sync, Freesync, various response time modes and preset modes. It also has decent HDR and brightness In my opinion the best two things this monitor has are HDMI 2.1, which isn’t the full 48Gbps bandwidth, but still at 24Gbps it’s still an HDMI 2.1 worth having and also almost NO ghosting even in extreme response time mode I’m a console gamer on PS5 and I get to have VRR with the HDMI 2.1 and it’s a great monitor
I've got the KTC H27T22 and its an amazing monitor for it's price point, really pretty images, i have calibrate it just like you recommended and even use it to do some Graphic Design Work on it, and for gaming its Pretty Freaking Fast!!! I'm loving this Monitor so much ❤, I will catch up on the 4K miniled variant soon if i want to build a New 4K focus build in the future.
You forgot to mention the most important feature of gaming monitors and monitors in general, the *pixel refresh response times* because motion blur, ghosting and smearing are by far the worst experience one can ever have in screen technology.
Seems like region factors massively here. I can't find half these monitors anywhere, and the ones that I can find, the prices are different, in some cases heavily different.
there is surprisingly small amount of coverage of the Asus PA278CGV, which is the 144Hz iteration of the lower end creator line's Proart PA278CV. would be really interesting to see how it compares to the 'real' gaming line up, as it is pretty okay with colors, but sill capable of lifting some weights for gametime after work. for me it is definitely an 'S' tier as Ive been waiting something like this for ages, but would be nice to see a more objective comparison from trusted source haha. for 400usd with fully fleged 90W usb-c, high refresh, 95%dci-p and 100% srgb, and deltaE below 2, it really does check out.
Sadly the recommendation for the ktc monitor seems a bit out of date, because in many countries including here in Germany you seem to be more likely now to get a revision with a different panel (Innolux M270KCJ-K7E), I am pretty bumped because I bought it precisely because of your recommendations and the new one seems to have lower contrast, they also still advertise it on Amazon for having the AUO panel. Also damn I wanted to use your settings and I don't find any icc profiles for the new revision.
@@techlessYT No problem, I ended up keeping it because it is still actually a good panel and it has 8bit+frc which the old one I think doesn't have and the oc seems a bit less agressive, so I think there is an argument which panel is better, but it is definetly false advertisement how they sell this monitor here on Amazon.
I bought the 27G1S because of this channel and it's the best monitor I've ever owned. Far better than the Viewsonic ELITE XG270 that it replaced. No regrets. Hopefully this thing will last me until 27" 4k microled monitors are available or at least until miniled gets a lot better.
Do the colors on the Innocn look as good, if not better than an IPS panels? I'm scared it won't look as rich I also heard something about Gsync not being good for the Innocn, is that true?
@@peterpanda7475 The colors are much better than the expensive IPS monitor that it replaced. Looks best with the brightness cranked to max IMO. Can't comment on gsync because my last monitor had bad flickering with it and I hear this one does too, so I just disable it. I never notice screen tearing anyway.
@@peterpanda7475 Tearing is something I really don't notice on any monitor so I'm a bad judge. I don't think the specific monitor matters as far as that goes anyway.
On Taobao, Viewsonic are offering a lot of 27" 1440p 165-180Hz monitor, like the VX2758/VX2780/VX2781 and they're very affordable if you're close to China. The VX2758 often goes for 899 RMB, which is around $125 and (shipping not included) and it just sounds absurd and i dont know if it's actually good or not
I ordered the KTC H27T22 a couple days ago, and after getting it and opening the product, it wasn't even what was specified. I hope that was a freak accident and not the norm, but getting a 2160 60hz monitor after ordering that monitor because of all of the wonderful things i've heard was dissapointing.
Have you heard about Aoc Q27G3Z? It has an Innolux D7B panel which should be better than the IPS rating. In my country, this panel is now very praised, because we have started to produce a line of monitors using it for less than $300. But this is an unknown company, I was looking for an analogue for the D7B and found only AOC Q27G3Z. But I couldn't find any reviews.
Love the videos very informative and helpful. I was wondering do you know anything about LG 27GR75Q beacause 27GR83Q is not available in my region. Is the only difference refresh rate? I need monitor for color work and gaming.
Thanks for the content. It's Always very useful to see comparisons between panels and what you're actually paying for. I am strugglin from quite a while to get one, and honestly can't find any DECENT review anywhere. I'm talking about 3 in particular: - LG 27GR75Q (249.99€) - MSI G272QPF (259€) - BENQ MOBIUZ EX2710Q (260.99€) All these 3 are IPS panels, 165hz, 2k, in that price range, as of now. I would mostly play Competitive Fps games, so yeah, response times and ghosting are the things to Stick with in the First place..
I never really liked alienware until i saw tge aesthetic design of the new alienware27 monitor design. I more than happy to pay more for better looking monitor lol
Do you have any plans on reviewing some lenovo monitors? I'm looking specifically at the Y27q-30, but I've been searching everywhere and it seems that there are no english reviews whatsoever. nor for the Y27h, or any other models from this series of monitors. From the specs it looks like a decent monitor, but specs can be deceiving.
Perhaps you are familiar with the Dell G3223D? There aren't many reviews for this monitor, but for the price it looks great. Maybe you know something about it or maybe there are owners of this monitor here who can share their opinion. I would appreciate it.
Alienware aw3423dwf beats them all even with less hz.. Honestly there is barely to no noticeable difference between 165 hz to 240.. going from 60 to 144/165 is a game changer tho.
I'm currently looking at the AW2723DF and the LG 27GR83Q-B both of which I could get at the same price. The Alienware model is one I'm quite interested in. Would this be a good choice?
Hello! I found the monitor ARG M27J7F2798' 27" QHD TFT-VA 240hz for 170$ with the same form factor as the HP x27q. Sadly it has no reviews. Should i go first and take the risk?
I know 27inch is perfect for 1440p, but what do you think about a 1440p 32 inch? Since 4k 32inch gaming monitors can be absurdly expensive as are the hardware used to play in a suitable state.
I would not recommend it, I watched a few review vids and settled on the GIGABYTE M32Q 32' but after using it, I'm quite disappointed. Picture quality is insanely important to me, and I had a 1440p Acer monitor prior and the image was so much more crisp with vibrant colors compared to my Gigabyte now. I instantly noticed that I could see the pixels compared to a 27. If I knew what I know now, I would 100% go 4k for a 32''. In fact, I'm shopping around for a 4k 32'' now, will still be using the Giga as a 2nd monitor.

Where is the KTC G27P6? It's the best OLED for the money hands down, especially with the Newegg deal.
He's not US so maybe he only has access to some? Still not a thorough list.
@@jackjefferson3980 Yeah but just because it shares it's panel with other top end gaming monitors, doesn't mean it's the same thing... It is legit.
AOC released a new 240hz 1440p oled monitor which is using the same panel as the LG monitor you are dailying for 200 dollars less. id love to see your take on it.
I just bought the KTC monitor off of Amazon for 200€. Thank you for the recommendation.
I think the Dell G2724D is the best value 1440p monitor on the market at around £250-£300 and regularly can be found cheaper. I bought mine on sale at £209 couple of months ago
It has all the specifications a gamer needs like 165Hz, 1ms response time, G-Sync, Freesync, various response time modes and preset modes. It also has decent HDR and brightness
In my opinion the best two things this monitor has are HDMI 2.1, which isn’t the full 48Gbps bandwidth, but still at 24Gbps it’s still an HDMI 2.1 worth having and also almost NO ghosting even in extreme response time mode
I’m a console gamer on PS5 and I get to have VRR with the HDMI 2.1 and it’s a great monitor
I'm looking for a monitor to run Xbox x at 1440p so you'd recommend this monitor? Will using the console and pc on this
@@trancebass2741 I highly recommend the Dell G2724D and yes for both console and PC. You’ll get everything you need with this monitor, including VRR
I've got the KTC H27T22 and its an amazing monitor for it's price point, really pretty images, i have calibrate it just like you recommended and even use it to do some Graphic Design Work on it, and for gaming its Pretty Freaking Fast!!! I'm loving this Monitor so much ❤, I will catch up on the 4K miniled variant soon if i want to build a New 4K focus build in the future.
im in the uk and i can't even buy it anywhere :/
@@statix Did you have checked on Geekbuying website?
I think they have shipping to the UK
How do you calibrate it? What settings do you recommend? Thanks in advance!
@@benru112 techless gives the recommend settings on his review of this monitor
Youre trolling if you didnt put the AOC Q24G2 here.
During cyber Monday sale here at least here in Canada the Alienware got cheaper than the Gigabyte and LG comparable models so huge W.
You forgot to mention the most important feature of gaming monitors and monitors in general, the *pixel refresh response times* because motion blur, ghosting and smearing are by far the worst experience one can ever have in screen technology.
do u read minds i was just looking for a 1440p monitor and see this vid a day later
Dell G2724D ?
Tolle Reviews. Mach weiter so. Richtig toller Kanal ❤
nice, thanks for the comparison
Sadly the recommendation for the ktc monitor seems a bit out of date, because in many countries including here in Germany you seem to be more likely now to get a revision with a different panel (Innolux M270KCJ-K7E), I am pretty bumped because I bought it precisely because of your recommendations and the new one seems to have lower contrast, they also still advertise it on Amazon for having the AUO panel.
Also damn I wanted to use your settings and I don't find any icc profiles for the new revision.
Oh wow, thanks for letting me know! I absolutely hate when monitor manufacturers change the panel without changing the name of the monitor.
I'm scared it won't look as rich
I also heard something about Gsync not being good for the Innocn, is that true?
@@peterpanda7475 The colors are much better than the expensive IPS monitor that it replaced. Looks best with the brightness cranked to max IMO. Can't comment on gsync because my last monitor had bad flickering with it and I hear this one does too, so I just disable it. I never notice screen tearing anyway.
@@GhostCowalso no tearing with 100 and 60fps?
@@peterpanda7475 Tearing is something I really don't notice on any monitor so I'm a bad judge. I don't think the specific monitor matters as far as that goes anyway.
Can you review the HP Omen 27QS, 400euro 240hz
An honorable mention should go to the Dell G2724D, fantastic sub $250 1440p monitor that punches way above its price
A tier list of 24/25" inch 1440p monitors would also be nice, I use dual 25" 1440p monitors and find them to be the ideal size in this setup.
1440p for that screen size is such a waste.
@@mattlife25 entitled to your opinion, my girlfriend has a 27" screen... it is 4k.
@@-opussame issue😅 27" for 1440p and 32" for 4k
On Taobao, Viewsonic are offering a lot of 27" 1440p 165-180Hz monitor, like the VX2758/VX2780/VX2781 and they're very affordable if you're close to China. The VX2758 often goes for 899 RMB, which is around $125 and (shipping not included) and it just sounds absurd and i dont know if it's actually good or not
Dude i dont know ..but you give me an energy to trust you
the 27gr83q is the best monitor i've ever owned. literally returned my w-oled for it and have zero regrets!
I ordered the KTC H27T22 a couple days ago, and after getting it and opening the product, it wasn't even what was specified. I hope that was a freak accident and not the norm, but getting a 2160 60hz monitor after ordering that monitor because of all of the wonderful things i've heard was dissapointing.
must be a mistake obviously!
Super helpful, thank you.
Great video!
I don't care what they all say in yt. The best monitors are DYAC+ premium and even better are the only 2 available (maybe 3 now) ULMB2. You welcome.
Great video! But could you please propose 1440p Curved monitor also? Many thanks
Love the videos very informative and helpful. I was wondering do you know anything about LG 27GR75Q beacause 27GR83Q is not available in my region. Is the only difference refresh rate? I need monitor for color work and gaming.
Did you buy it im in the same spot atm
Was looking at the 240hz ultra gear, i seen a decent amount comments about flickering, dead pixels & ppl saying it’s not a lg panel
Thank you for doing my research for me
Thanks for the content. It's Always very useful to see comparisons between panels and what you're actually paying for. I am strugglin from quite a while to get one, and honestly can't find any DECENT review anywhere. I'm talking about 3 in particular:
- LG 27GR75Q (249.99€)
- MSI G272QPF (259€)
- BENQ MOBIUZ EX2710Q (260.99€)
All these 3 are IPS panels, 165hz, 2k, in that price range, as of now. I would mostly play Competitive Fps games, so yeah, response times and ghosting are the things to Stick with in the First place..
And which one did you choose? And what is he like?
What do you think 2K is?
3:36 he had to look down to read "MSI G274QPF-QD" because it's name is so long lol
Classic MSI 😅
how about lg 27gp850-b?
I never really liked alienware until i saw tge aesthetic design of the new alienware27 monitor design. I more than happy to pay more for better looking monitor lol
Thanks for the video, i was just searching for a video like this and i decided to buy the ktc, i trust your opinion
Do you have any plans on reviewing some lenovo monitors? I'm looking specifically at the Y27q-30, but I've been searching everywhere and it seems that there are no english reviews whatsoever. nor for the Y27h, or any other models from this series of monitors. From the specs it looks like a decent monitor, but specs can be deceiving.
what is the most color accurate ?
Thanks for this video
i have two GP850s and they are barely useable... 800:1 contrast ratio, black is blue/red ish and looks just awful even worse than the 2020 boe panels.
KTC H27T22 or Gigabyte M27Q Pro?
I can't see a single review of Acer predator XB27U3F which is a 1440p 360hz monitor it has ULMB2 .
Will you do any regional deals video for the sales season?
Make a video on best 4K monitors
Perhaps you are familiar with the Dell G3223D? There aren't many reviews for this monitor, but for the price it looks great. Maybe you know something about it or maybe there are owners of this monitor here who can share their opinion. I would appreciate it.
Alienware aw3423dwf beats them all even with less hz.. Honestly there is barely to no noticeable difference between 165 hz to 240.. going from 60 to 144/165 is a game changer tho.
4k tier list please :)
Hi, can you review about the Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A 27" 240hz 1440p.
What should I pick? Q27G2, G271CQR, 25G3ZM, AG323FCXE, PG27Q15R2, hyperx armada 25 240hz they are similar in pricing
LG 27GR83Q-B or LG 27GP850-B ?? For my first monitor with Ryzen 7 7800x3d / RTX 4070 TI
Which one did you go with
Please try to review the Lenovo G24-20 gaming monitor.
I'm currently looking at the AW2723DF and the LG 27GR83Q-B both of which I could get at the same price. The Alienware model is one I'm quite interested in. Would this be a good choice?
Most better than a GR83Q-B
Do you know anything about a revision of the M27Q X? I've seen mentions of it's existence but no documentation of differences.
Still Waiting for a Glossy OLED Monitor. Worth Waiting?
any thoughts on the Asus TUF VG27AQL1A monitor?
Acer XV275UP3 competes with KTC M27T20, probably the same VA panel. But no reviews :(
Where would you put the
”ASUS TUF VG27AQML1A” on the list? 260hz (OC)
Techless can you please review the MSI G244F?
When is the best 4k tier list vid coming out?
Got the lg27 950 for 500$ what a deal here on black friday was taken off the page moments after i got it xD
I would love to see the AOC Q24G2A ranked on that list it seems a great 24 inch 1440p monitor.
None the less loved the video
I'm disappointed the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ isn't on here
Hello! I found the monitor ARG M27J7F2798' 27" QHD TFT-VA 240hz for 170$ with the same form factor as the HP x27q. Sadly it has no reviews. Should i go first and take the risk?
Will you review new gigabyte m27q x rev 2? There aren't any reviews about that new rev 2 in online
@@SirChocula Thanks for the input man! In Canada it's like $600/$700 and up, for a decent 4k 32" monitor. A gastly wallet/rent money eater that craps out FOMOs...
Hi, I have the M27Q, is it good or how do you think about buying a newer monitor?
Tnx bro
Thanks for the video man i just suscribe and like, just one quick question look this monitor Gigabyte M27Q rev2 i can see the review of that one on Rtings it see s amazing i can get it for 259$ or get the h27t22 for 209$... The h27t22 is not available on rting to compare and i can see this gigabyte model is a little diferent for the one you review there, wicth one should i ger?
just recently bought the LG ultra gear and it’s coming so thoughts on best graphics to run (on Xbox x series x btw)
Hi! Have you seen the AOC Q27G3XMN? I expect it to reach europe at some moment, but its a Mini led monitor for about 250$ on the US.
How bad is freesync on Innocn 27G1S? I am planning to use it in singleplayer games
In my country the MSI G274QPF is available instead of MSI G274QPF-QD. How much the difference should I expect? What would be the color re-production variances? Should I buy it?
