Shreddin Pitmedden! Action packed Enduro/DH MTB trails in Pitmedden Forest, Scotland.

- This video captures my first impressions whilst visiting Pitmedden Forest in Fife.
I had heard about some of the trails before and a few in particular that I was recommend to try out were better than I expected.
After an easy fire road climb I found the narrow rooty techy climb through a gap in the trees which lead me to the start of the trails that finish in the car park. The first couple of attempts were a bit tricky not to dab but I got the hang of it soon enough and once I found my lines climbing over the roots I put some more pace into it.
I then had a cruisy run to check out the features before sending it down 'Towball' and "'Sidewinder' into 'Don't send it'. I also tried 'Bagpuss' which was the only red graded trail in among these black trails and it wasn't much easier.
I had a blast trying out these trails met some cool people and liked the amount of descending you feel like you get in return for the climb and I'm already looking forward to going back and trying out other trails and hitting these again.

@@TheFlowingScotsman every red trail is now a "raid" too. Makes all red trails sound epic though, would you rather do a black trail or a raid trail? Planning to head up again at some point but towball was a good trail, nearly caught me out with what looked like a roller.....it wasn't and I endo'd my way out like a boss (couldn't repeat if I tried🤣)

Fair play for sending the bigger of the drops,I had a good look at it but decided against taking it on.Next time...........definitely next time 😂
Thanks mate, nce to meet you too! You'll get it next time. Just study the line on the video and in real life and once you can can see yourself doing it when you visualise it then commit to it 100% and that's the best advice I can give. If.....no once you send it let me know how you get on👊🏻

That first one was called Don’t Send It
Thanks for that. Couldn't get a proper signal to check. It seems to have the same start as Sidewinder before they split further along. Quality trail!

Thanks mate! 👍🏻 You have to work for your speed in places but it's so compact you can do laps which is good if you are pushed for time.
Great video mate, fantastic to see you shredding Pitmedden. It’s such a fantastic place, top notch trail builders there. As you say they pack so many cool features in for not a lot of climbing. You rode the trails really well. 👌🤙🤙🤙🤙😁

I think I'll need to get to Ballo next apparently it's quite similar but with longer descents.
@@TheFlowingScotsman Ballo is brilliant. Pretty steep in parts, quite techy too but there is also good flow to be had. It’s quite compact and the climb is not to bad either- definitely worth visiting.👌😁🤙
Ooh that last berm looked like you could just go straight on but that would have been bad :D Great to see you putting out more vids sir! Always check yours and a few other Scottish MTB guys to see what we are letting ourselves in for or to choose new places to try :)
Yeah you are right, I needed to lay it down a bit more to make it but it was all good thanks to the builders! Glad you like the videos and thanks for the support 👊🏻

Yeah it certainly packs a lot in for a reasonably quick climb. What are the trails like over Winter?
@@TheFlowingScotsman as you can imagine in the wet they are a bit wild but fun none the less, good practice over the roots and been in the snow/ice, that was a bit interesting with how steep the trails are😂
Yeah I thought that would be the case. I could do with some practice over greasy roots and chutes🤔👍🏻
