Ben Cathro's Pinkbike Walk the Talk DH MTB test track in Pitlochry. Is it the best trail of 2020?

- Here's my guide and review for Ben Cathro's Pinkbike Walk the talk downhill test track in Pitlochry. it was built by Ben and friends and volunteers during lockdown to provide Ben with a track to do some off season training and timed runs ahead of the Next UCI Downhill World Championships.
it's split into 3 sections each with their own feel. The top section is steeper and slicker with awkward off camber turns and roots and rocks.
The middle section is my favourite part and is fast and flowy with some gaps and drops.
The bottom section starts of nicely and is combination of the two previous sections before levelling out on a narrow off camber section through the trees on an old track. Very tricky to get you speed back when you make a mistake.
After the ride I give my thoughts on the track and level of skill required to ride it and then finish off with some local history about Pitlochry and Moulin.

I sold my bike last year but my new new bike has finally arrived after a 4 month delay!
I'll do a brief new video next weekend showing the bike before doing a shakedown ride/first impressions and then get back into it again.

Yeah it's a great trail. You you can tell it's had a bit of thought going into it. Hats off to the builders for their efforts Looking forward to riding it again as it has a bit of everything and different options to keep it interesting.

Accidentally rode it yesterday whilst looking for the Vs. What a trail! Still need to work on the slab to the right though
Yes me too. Binned it to the left of the slab on my warm up run, too eager to ride after a long drive and almost ended my day. Looking forward to getting back there again when I have more time and session some sections. You know it's good when you are still thinking about it days later 🙌🏻

If you head up Craigower from the Pitlochry Golf Club up the fire road and look for a push up path to the right just past the mast at the view point Top section should show as Pit DH upper (AKA slippery when wet then it follows into the next couple of sections easily. Steeper and more slippery than it looks on video at the top. Middle section is brilliant!

Well it's good news at last I finally got my new bike after a 4 month wait! I sold my old bike last year and because of covid lockdown and brexit it was delayed. But it's finally here and I'll plan to put a short "new bike day" video soon followed by a shakedown ride and then a full review.
