- It’s all about levels. This for me was a level up in MTB trails. Steep, rough and relentless. I had to dig deep at times tackling these trails. I had two serious close calls that were destined to end in a painful crash but fortunately didn’t. Loved every run even the sketchy moments and I’ll definitely be back to tackle these two gnarly DH tracks and go looking for some others.

Really enjoyed this vid, good work and nice riding! Dollar is a great place with some seriously meaty trails, only been twice but will definitely try and visit more often. I've just uploaded some footage from my ride there today.

These trails are the type that stay with you long after you've ridden them so I'm glad to have done them some justice. Thanks again👍🏻
@@TheFlowingScotsman I was up there for the first time a few weeks ago but trails were full of snow so it was a bit of a washout, I only did a couple of the lower ones.

Me and my friends built that trail you did at the end last summer. Needs a bit of redoing but hope you enjoyed it 👍
Nice work, I thought it was really good! That section with the log drop off to gap jump is trickier than it looks to get it right. Need to get back up again and check out the other ones I missed.
Nice video mate, those trails certainly look full on. Good job saving yourself and thanks for not editing those bits out. It’s good to see good riders showing that they can have dicey moments too. I’d be off to A&E if I attempted that trail.👌🤙🤙🤙😁

@@TheFlowingScotsman yeah I'll keep an eye out for it, I was subbed but for some reason notifications where off so I've switch that back on. Always funny getting recognised as the Biking Viking, especially when that person has a face I've seen somewhere but can't place it🤣. Did you do the intro and outro yourself or has all the money and fame allowed for outside sourcing?
😁No I did it myself with good old trial and error as my teacher!
I'd rather spend my own money on a fine malt Whisky than pay someone else to probably do in 15mins what took me only a gruelling few weeks of mistakes😂
@@TheFlowingScotsman there be some fifer running in your blood🤣 I'm much the same, prefer to plug away and spend time learning it myself, it's character building if just a little frustrating. I find the reward is better learning all this new stuff. Keep up the good work and well done on breaking the 1K sub level.

Hi mate - where did you park to ride the hillfoot hill trails?
There is a small car park on Upper Hillfoot Road on the right hand side. It's just a short ride along the road before you turn left onto the fire road access to the top.

Dollar is great for climbing and dh practice. Great video! Glad you enjoyed our local trails. That bike looks like it loves that terrain!
@@slipperyseal762 Thanks mate! Looking forward to going back now I know what to expect. You are right, the climb is not too bad for what you get in return on the DH. I think the bike was finally getting used for it's intended purpose on these trails!

Early
