    Thanks for the video, it was very helpful! Straight and to the point without all the bs inbetween like a lot of the other videos on here, which only ends up making you forget half of the important information you could have learned from watching the video in the first place.

    I'm not going to nit pick on your use of English... I will commend you on your commitment to sharing your trade as passionately and as succinctly as you do. Mate, love your work! You're easy to follow, break everything down and articulate everything so it's easy for an idiot like me to follow. I too love Split Enz. Keep it up mate, you're on my 'favorite' list at the moment - I'm building a '32 Tudor and a Mk1 Capri, so your help is very much appreciated... Stay awesome brother.

    I appreciate your "matter-of-fact" demeanour. I believe your instruction resonates effectively with your target audience. You likely do already, but disregard any negative criticism. The people involved in that have no interest investing their knowledge or time helping the demographic you appeal to. Kind regards and good health to you and your loved ones.

  • @K2edg
    @K2edg 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You want a tip, keep the solvents to a minimum i.e. don't treat 2k like Cellulose and keep adding Thinners to the clear to make it flatter all that does it drop the gloss and cause problems like Micro blisters or Popping or trapped solvent (stays soft for ever). I take it that's 2k medium solids? another tip is to put a splash of your Base in your primer at that stage which will make it cover much faster when you come to top coat it (obviously don't do this if your using Epoxy primer or water base :))

    You made a nice video. I’ve got 35 years behind a spray gun, and I don’t think I’ve ever put a run in base coat. If you run base, you have to small of fan, you’ve mixed it wrong, or your spraying it way to slow.

    You can also ad a bit of clear into you base coat on the 2nd coat. It gives you a tackyness to give the next clear coat layer something to cling to. You can also mix your next clear coats with the base coat to make it a 1 stage after the second lay down of base+clear.
    You will have the best shine on any car or fridge. My experience of 20years in the paint business.

  • @restolad
    @restolad  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    HAM34H most clear coat peals off, because the base coat underneath was not left to dry.
    the science is when paint drys it is giving of vapors - so spraying clear coat on a wet base usually results in
    lift & pealing off the panel Restolad.
