The hawk eye Spec C Type RA-R ( the most balls out car Subaru has built to date) got the 6 piston brembo calipers first. Other than that solid video! 👍
I remember the first year I got my WRX, I didn’t even know about the rare S spec cars until I saw a Legacy S402 in the parking lot at Boxerfest. Blew my mind seeing numbers on a Subie
you definitely did not see an S402 at Boxerfest in the US. There’s one guy that’s close and he’s from Kansas and the car hasn’t been driven in nearly 8 years last I heard.
I bought 2018 Limited STi because I wanted fully loaded with sunroof and recaro seats, I can convert it to S209 and still I will have more options on top and cheaper, but I do love my STi after M5 Competition, hard to explain 😁 could not be happier
The s203 2004 for me is the perfect design , all i want to see is it fitted with is that EX01 VictorRAcing active wing think it will improve a lot on its aerodynamics
I wanted to do the spray on my sti, I checked all part numbers and prices, it came up 1300$, I believe it cost more right now, before when it came out you would able to buy it for 800 whole kit, now no way
@@christiangraham4579 yup, totally agree, there is another option cheaper if you run a splitter from windshield washer and buy the nozzles only, just an idea 💡🤝 maybe you will need a switch if you don’t want to spray intercooler and windshield at same time
Just got myself a 2020 wrx premium a month ago, I absolutely love it, yah I wanted an sti more, but there was no way I would afford it I'm only 20 and feel super lucky to have one in general.
I feel like with the plastic fenders the new WRX has you can easily make an S209 body kit for the vb (then again idk anything about body kit designing 😪)
The S209 is pretty interesting, got to drive one quite a bit on the street[before selling it ;)] side by side comparison to my series.gray was eye opening, the overall chassis stiffness felt impressive. Power felt solid, best way to put it is "stage2" sti power[downpipe/tune] ^ was #160
@@carswithsepp Nope we had taken it from another dealer, it was traded on a GMC truck Ended up selling it out of the showroom to what I take is a collector neat stuff
I am a proud owner of on of the best ever build, the S209 I own #47 of the 209 hand assembly from STI ! I love this STI 2 units build x day ! It’s a beast of a car, I only drive it so the Battery won’t die , it’s only got 15500 miles on !
I own a Subaru Forester STI type 2 M pretty much stock. There are very few videos that have covered the type 2 m on youtube. If you ever consider doing a video on Forseters please get in touch and i can send you some pictures. It has a beautiful set of original STI rays 5 spoke alloys similiar (but a lot nicer in my opinion) to the S201. Loved your video my friend ✨️
S206 had a hand built engine by sti, fully balanced crank, rods, pistons. Revised dccd map, own turbo (same as s207 & s208) completely different mechanically to the r205. Sti also swapped from Kyb silver shocks, to sti tuned bilstein dampers. The s206 in mishas video is mine 😉
Motorweek has a review of the usdm 2015 STI that had the same 0-60 run time as the S209 along with the quarter mile time just thought that was interesting
Awesome Yeap the S209 comes w a 341 HP from STI it self and many other goddesses! HKS 25 Hp Turbo etc.. It’s a Beast , no spare tire instead it has a water tank for the Intercooler ! I hate wasting gas on 6 Cyl. Vehicles LOL ! S209 like the Big boys (V8) engines! Let’s remember something, it’s NOT the CAR but how the Driver performs !
I still believe subaru lost their way way with racing heritage. I miss the sti only blue interior, and now you get a basic generic black and red like every other manufacturer.
All turbo Subarus are for hardcore or rich enthusiasts… For every guy who says he’s never had problems, there are three or 4 others that are on their second engine. Getting a reliable 450hp in these costs like $15k
@@briangriffith3985 fortunately, head gaskets are not an issue on the EJ platform since around 2002. Most failures seem to be failed piston ring lands and failed oil pickup tubes.

I have a Momo racing seat ON driver side, need to bypass the connectors so airbags work, anyone out there that knows let me know ! TYPO on miles, my S209 only has 15.500 miles not 155K ! She’s still a VIRGIN !
I dont like the first cars bodykit. Kinda looks like a evo but way worst. Im a big bugeye guy though but the stock STI looks better. The s model has a cheap looking wing

Not 9 S variants, but 11. Dont forget the Legacy S401 and S402

The s202 is my fav but the s209 is really nice, I've actually been in one pushed to its limits with a pro Subaru driver and its quite the factory car
If I could find an S209. I'd do my damn best to get one. (:
ive slowly been acquiring r205 parts for my hatch sti but its a vary expensive and vary elusive game haha

Not only Imprezas there's couple of S-series legacies too. Unless only Imprezas considered as a Subaru.
