My first trip that I remember back to London was when this song was a hit, I kept calling the radio station, CJBK asking them to play this song so I could record it for the road trip home. Thats really all I remember about that trip was this song.

I remember an interview with Burton Cummings about being in the All Star band. He said it was a wonderful experience. Everyone came to the rehearsals on time, everyone was sober and they all came ready to play. They were all the ultimate professionals.
My Supertramp memories are downloading their MP3s from Napster while smoking a bunch of herb outside. That Rocky and Bullwinkle animated movie was on and had a Supertramp song in the ad for it and it got me craving some cereal.. no that was the weed... it had me craving Suptertamp hits. Then I came back inside and 'swear I never heard the whole song like that' (probably because we had just upgraded our PC speakers with a sub.)
Imagine how great this guy is !!! He is introduced by a legend and he is invited by another legend , love Roger and all the music he created all over there years ,a legend recognised by his peers.
I had no idea this existed….Roger had an amazing voice…I remember listening to the album at my aunts apartment. I was quite young but his voice just stuck out and I loved the melodies he came up with.
How many viewers here recall the digital tones in the studio version of this song, and immediately know they're from the Mattel Electronic Football handheld game we all played way back then?
Seen them in Woodinville washington, about 10 years ago, great show. Got to sing Yellow Submarine with Ringo Star and his all star band. So did the whole crowd, but it was fantastic.
I truly hope, after waiting 2 years, I will finally get to see Ringo. He could play with me, on the tamborine, and I'd still listen. Good stuff to Ringo and his crew; stay well, and I look forward to the concert!
How his voice is perfectly preserved! Other rock stars' voices have succumbed to time, and cigarettes and booze. But not this one! Dennis DeYoung sounds excellent, too.
I saw Super Tramp live, the Breakfast in America tour, what a glorious show! The sound was spot on, their movies and light show were magnificent! Didn't even know they had special lights until halfway through the show! Just stage lights, then BOOM ! A diamond of multicolor lights shone into the audience! I think it was Bloody Well Right.
Cool...I saw this Ringo tour live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Roger absolutely nailed this song on the night we were in attendance. I believe Ian Hunter of Mott The Hoople was there as well. Also Greg Lake and Sheila E. Each got to do 2-3 of their own songs. Great show.
Tina is one those artists I regretted not seeing live theres a few of them including Bob Seger ,David Bowie , Queen and The Beatles But Tina is the one who I truly really was the one 😢 😥😢😢🙏🙏RIP TINA
This was 21 years ago. Listen to the most recent recordings and you'll spot the difference. But i don't blame him. He's 70+ years old. We would like our musical heroes to stay the same for ever but that's not possible. I would happily go and see him again if he'd tour again though. I went to see Genesis on their last outing. I knew what to expect. I guess i went more for nostalgia than for the vocal performance. I have no regrets though.
His songwriting is excellent but what stilled me was his vocal chops! I thought, "he'll never hithe high notes in this tune" but Bravo! And the mix was excellent too. WOOF! Thank you for a great post Wolfgang. You have a new sub.
I believe Sheila E. is THE BEST female drummer!! She's incredible!! I saw Mark Rivera performing live 3 times with Billy Joel. He's a great saxophonist!!
You should see Akane from Bandmaid. She is a top notch drummer who could match it with any other drummer alive except that Serbian guy . Look up Freedom Official Live Bandmaid.

Supertramp's Paris album has to be one of the best live albums ever made. They are top tier musicians.
