watching this video made me cry. im a girl trying to understand what healthy masculinity meant (since theres a plethora amount of examples in media that showed what toxic masculinity looked like) and realized that we have almost no role model of a healthy masculine male in media form. thats why its so hard to understand and even visualize and think about because we dont have much of anything modeling that concept for us.
Thank you Madam! For sharing this. There are multiple examples of how to be and how not to be a man in today's society. Perhaps this video has provided some clarity. I, and all the brothers here, can say; we hope you find a true man who will support you and provide for you in life. As will you support him. x
I’m a girl and I just cried watching this too. As soon as it ended I rewound it and rewatched it from the beginning. I feel very conflicted about men, often fearing or hating them, yet I also often feel pity, tenderness and love for them. It feels like such a relief to see a man who can conceive of this kind of masculinity and put it to words so eloquently. I really hope this channel gets more views and traction soon.
I haven't watched this yet, but personally I try to model myself on the carefree image of Damon Albarn and Brian Clough lol. I know they are not unflawed examples, but I take from them the lesson to have fun and not be too serious.
Thank you for your words. It means a lot! To add my two cents, I would probably look up to Raimi’s Spider-Man or MCU Captain America. There are also positive living role models like Keanu Reeves, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman. With that being said, a lotta current influencers seem to promote harsh men, which is a little discouraging. While I myself strive to become physically and mentally stronger, what some influencers seem to promise young men is “power,” and they get caught up in it. I suppose a lot of the manosphere is too caught up in power and not in “matters of the heart. They promote being “a man” rather than a GOOD man.
see, i disagree about no good male role model, i keep going back to Fred Rogers(mister rogers, of the tv show fame). a man who was caring and compassionate, had tons of skills, but always worked to make the smaller and vulnerable feel better. there are good examples out there, but, as a guy, we kind of get bombarded with the worst, a bunch of violent, greedy and oversexed guys.who treat compassion as a weakness and venality as a virtue. It does make sense though, because following them feels ugly, tainted. whereas fred rogers feels empowering.
I am an autistic man in his mid twenties and I have often wondered if I will ever be strong enough or good enough for anything. I have often struggled with things others find easy, especially sports and social situations, but I always do my best to work hard when others depend on me. I am willing to stand up for myself and those I care about and sacrifice any luxury or comfort if it means helping someone I love. I hope that compensates for my shortcomings but even if it doesn’t I will never stop trying.
I am an autistic woman, almost 70, your goals sound fine to me. It won't be easy to live up to your expectations. Most people are superficial and not invested in anything. But I think that you will be one of the few worth knowing. Good luck.
Visualize the type man you want to become, once that's done, ask yourself what will I need do or change that's in your power to become that man then you go after it and keep a positive mind and remember what the end goal is you are meant to do great things in this world, stop wondering and start doing, it's the only way things can change, I believe in you with all my heart you're going to change the world, good luck my friend.

A man MUST become burdened by the things around him. The loss of his parents, especially his dad, will only help to add tremendous burden on his life. And the life of his new family with the woman he must love and protect. Without a family, without kids, a man has yet to feel the burden of providing and caring for the lives of not only just himself and his lover. And through stress, through difficulty, and burden will a boy become a man. A real man takes the full burden of providing which has only gotten harder in this economic environment we find ourselves in, but it can be achieved if put through enough hardship, struggle, and growth. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;" Understand that we must go through our entire lives burdened and thus incredibly stressed. This is the law of nature that GOD intended. Welcome it and grow from it.

Yesterday i went through a breakup, today i am just weak and utterly broken inside. Yesterday while our final argument, she mentioned a past line she said on a date that, if you were a man, you wouldn't have said that. I am 21 and have a long way to go, it hurts but i am trying my best every single day. And thanks man, i needed this video. I kinda see it, that getting your shit together takes time and pain. I really love your videos. I’m 36 and becoming the man I think I should be has been a lifelong struggle. I’m still not there but I’m thankful that I found your channel. Good shit man.
This video inspires me to become serious again about pursuing my own vision of being a great man. Thank you, I had become complacent and wilfully ignorant of my current position (late twenties, in a relationship for five years, stable job, ageing parents)- failing to see that I was supposed to take on more responsibility for my tribe and my service. While sharing a lot of ideas with your vision, I want to raise some points that came up immediately where my vision differs. Perhaps I can inspire you to consider these. Surely all things you explain about that first social bond can also be attained with another man (or more generally a partner who isn’t entirely feminine). Your point is that the partners attain a Balance between their masculine and feminine aspects. I agree that you cannot attain that balance on your own, but I disagree that one partner can only have masculine energy and the other must thus be entirely feminine - I’m new to your videos, so I don’t know if you hold this view, but I feel it is implied. Secondly I disagree that there always has to be a sexual component in this bond. Some people simply don’t have lustful desires and you can have a meaningful primary social bond without them. This does not make you less of a man. Perhaps your video is only intended for straight persons identifying as entirely masculine - „men“ as they are called in your video. I believe it will be beneficial to them, but it saddens me to think that someone might not listen to what you say because they feel excluded here. Either the idea of a man needs to be broader (eg. discussing „partners“ rather than women), or we need to accept that there is more ideal identities than man and woman that we can strive for. I would love to see your videos about those - though I suppose it wouldn’t be your place to discuss what a great gay asexual man would look like, because I assume that simply isn’t who you are. You can however say that there isn’t just one way to be a great man. Let me state again that I am not trying to cancel you or put your content down - I have been truly inspired and I love your video on assertiveness as well. I doubt it was your intention to exclude anyone and I hope you will consider the points I raised and expand your view/strive to address this plurality. Peace and Love from Germany
2:58 I had something similar to that dream happen to me except it wasn’t a dream but was instead a feeling that these were the last days of my life that came to me while looking out the window of a deer stand.
I think being me inside the fortress of man that I created internally and delivering my idea is what makes each man unique and have a healthy fight for the goodness of the society, universe and the family.
Bro i love you for that, you compact everything in very precise words 3:38 give me goosebumps, i hope everyone got this view now. And i now feel more accompanied in this jorney knowing that people like u exist
Just found your channel, and watched 3 videos. I absolutely love your work my friend. You are very talented. As a young man battling against myself most of my life, having an abusive childhood, I too, thought, maybe if I lose my virginity, or do this or that, I will finally be a man. The problem was for so long I wanted to be a man, but having no idea what I man is. I would watch TV shows and movies, and want to be the characters so badly. But, things are going to change, I will no longer have this thought of being a man, I will become it, and do whatever it takes. I found Jesus last August, but would still sin every day. My relationship with him has grown within the last 2 weeks, and I actually have a very strong desire now to stop sinning, I know I may trip and fall from time to time, but I will try my absolute best. No idea if you'll see this comment, but, thank you. God bless you brother 🙏🏻.
i sure know what my passage rite its. ive been through a lot in the last years, but for some reason i crave for a specific moment and place in the world that i know its harsh to conquer, but when i do, i know it will be it.
Wow, this was based. Little of what you said was _completely new_ to me, but to hear it all in one place so succinctly and clearly was like puzzle pieces falling into place. Where did you pull your ideas from? I'd love to read the book(s) that inspired you. If you told me it was all off the dome, I wouldn't believe you at first, but if convinced would be heavily impressed.
Bro I wrote down EVERY WORD you said so I can reflect and embody these qualities as I grow and progress into my future of changing history for the better. Can you give me recommendations of shows, movies, books and actrs of GREAT men. The misspell is on purpose to have a lil fun with you, sorry I myself can recommend a show called The Mentalist. The main character has the highest charisma I've ever witnessed, an unparalleled genius in reading people and their actions. The antagonist is JUST as good in terms of skill. He appears a few times in the show for you to keep your eyes peeled. But the rest of the categories of the show are all 8 or 9/10. My kind mom just shared delicious vanilla pastry with me, this day is beautiful edit: If you're curious about my age, just ask me, I'm young so anyone reading this can do this. In fact i'll pray for you
My brother. May we share this blessed day together in harmony. Thank you for commenting! Here's every book I'd ever recommend (for now): newelofknowledge.ghost.io/every-book-id-ever-recommend/ Thanks for the film recommendation. I'll check it out :)
Excellent description and very eye opening! I was wondering if there are any books you’d recommend me to pick up on topics such as the “Zanshin/ Mushin/ Fudoshin” ideology and also books where you got your own inspiration from? Nonetheless great content - definitely checking out the rest of your videos!
Growing up without a father is bad, but growing up with a father that consciously tries to steer you away from developing as a man because he deems it toxic is even harder. And i don't even say toxic aspects of mahood don't exist. But the real harm comes from treating healthy behaviour as sick. raising your boys as if they're girls is THE way to turn them into self hating drug addicts and victims
This video is so informative. I am an 18 year old young man and this is exactly what I needed. I will watch this video each and everyday until I become the man described here. Thank you Newel of Knowledge.❤️❤️🙏🏾
This is something I have struggled with, maybe it is just my nature maybe some part of it is my upbringing I am making a conscious effort to add more fun to my life to counteract the monotony of software development
Excellent video sir! I was enjoying it fully, especially when you stated the fact of needing God as that focal point for us all. Highly recommend anyone here to read the book called “Wild at Heart” by John Eldridge, it does a wonderful job as well to describe a masculine life, and how we can go about living a truly epic story with our own tale.
Regarding number 3, can you please explain what would someone who does not believe in theism, (such as a buddhist) , face the tough path when all hope seems to be lost? Thank you.
There’s 1 man in history that embodied all these traits and even more. The prophet Muhammed pbuh. You can find his narrations (referred to as the Hadiths ) which serve as the ultimate example for us in our journey to becoming a Man.
Thanks Aanghel. It's timely you commented because I was talking to a friend about you the other day. You were the first self-improvement youtuber I ever watched around 5-6 years ago. Okay i agree with multiple things here, but should this be tied to gender? This is all beautiful and very true things however they are true irrespective of gender of a person. They are roles, masks that can be worn why tie them to something so consrtaining as gender?

I am glad that i found u brother, huge respect!
As am I my friend. Thank you.
A man is an adult human male. No more, no less. Any other way of defining it is both incorrect and regressive.
I think being me inside the fortress of man that I created internally and delivering my idea is what makes each man unique and have a healthy fight for the goodness of the society, universe and the family.
Absolutely on point man. Love it
well done mate -- brilliant video

Amazing video Newel. Truly inspiring👏
It’s telling of our culture when we need a video like this, but the effort is justified.
poetic and charming love this video incredibly vulnerable and honest .
This video is life-changing
Time to put it all into practice 😤💪

Man, I wish I had a friend like you
Consider it done.
@@NewelOfKnowledge Alright, let's go riding horses along seashore one day
@NewelOfKnowledge can we be friends too?
3:48 my man is a man of culture too
Beautifully written my friend

Thanks mate, when I first read your message I thought ICU was a university, then I realised 😬😂 hopefully it was worth it!
It’s seems like you had quite an intense experience. Care to share it with us?

Likewise brother! :)
Excellent video!
Thank you you basterd!
This was moving, thank you.
Thank you Ryan.
Thank you :) here are some books which might help:

Well put young man.
I was amazed when I heard that because that's exactly what I'm doing without knowing it
Bro I wrote down EVERY WORD you said so I can reflect and embody these qualities as I grow and progress into my future of changing history for the better. Can you give me recommendations of shows, movies, books and actrs of GREAT men.
The misspell is on purpose to have a lil fun with you, sorry
I myself can recommend a show called The Mentalist.
My kind mom just shared delicious vanilla pastry with me, this day is beautiful
edit: If you're curious about my age, just ask me, I'm young so anyone reading this can do this. In fact i'll pray for you
My brother. May we share this blessed day together in harmony. Thank you for commenting!
Here's every book I'd ever recommend (for now):

Wow you've read alot of books, this information is so valuable to me, thanks king

The Devil and The Huntsman - Daniel Pemberton
Growing up without a father is bad, but growing up with a father that consciously tries to steer you away from developing as a man because he deems it toxic is even harder. And i don't even say toxic aspects of mahood don't exist. But the real harm comes from treating healthy behaviour as sick. raising your boys as if they're girls is THE way to turn them into self hating drug addicts and victims
This video is so informative. I am an 18 year old young man and this is exactly what I needed.
I will watch this video each and everyday until I become the man described here.
Thank you Newel of Knowledge.❤️❤️🙏🏾
This is something I have struggled with, maybe it is just my nature maybe some part of it is my upbringing
I am making a conscious effort to add more fun to my life to counteract the monotony of software development
Great video, keep up the good message
Simply divine and I'm atheist
"This video is based on the book The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida"
Thank you bro.
Great video, as always! What movie are the clips with the kind of Nordic-looking knight guy from?
Thank you sir! And king arthur the return of the sword :)
Thank you.
This. Is. Brilliant.
And it sounds cliche, but without your videos, I have no idea where I'd be. It's great to see you've made a comeback.
Hate Speach 🤬🤬🤬
MY MAN 👑
My brother.
Are there any books you can recommend to us mate?
those who dont give up are men , those who are not loved are men , those who provide are men, those who fight are men.
Okay i agree with multiple things here, but should this be tied to gender? This is all beautiful and very true things however they are true irrespective of gender of a person. They are roles, masks that can be worn why tie them to something so consrtaining as gender?
crazy good video bro keep it up
This video deserves more views. I mean it.
Thank you so much
Great video as per usual!
Gracias amigoooo!!!
