I just picked up model x plaid last Saturday and had the exact same issues you mentioned in this video with the gaps as well as voice command issue to open glove box. I scheduled a service call to address the gaps in 2 weeks . Hope they can adjust the panels and uneven bottom trim on driver side falcon door.

Great review....The passenger fire wall would definitely be an issue for me if I was a passenger or for anyone with long legs who want to stretch their legs out.
I've had my Model X Long Range for a few months now and I love it. It does have some of the same issues you stated but for what it's worth, luxury isn't their strength. You'd have to go to BMW or MBZ for that. I've accepted the fact that my car is more of a technology car than a luxury car hence why I got the Long Range instead of Plaid. By the way, thanks for the rear shot of the car. Now I know to replace the PLAID lettering on my Long Range with the PLAID emblem instead. Thanks! Keep up the good reviews!
The technology IS the luxury. I just got an X, and I have a list of issues, but I love this car.
Unbelievable that the panel gaps are still an issue--whether its 150k or 35k, it should have been figured out by now. The speed is insane, however. Will probably end up buying one in the next year--either the X plaid or the Taycan Turbo S.
That should improve if they switch to front and rear gigacasting. Hopefully next year with Hardware 4 release.
Oh well, they’ll fix them eventually I’m not worried about panel gaps being a big issue
I love my model 3 for what I have but the door unlock system is a bit annoying at times when I wanna bring friends in
My 22 model x LR has been in service center more in the first 3,000 miles than any of my previous vehicles combined. So many loose interior panels, clips coming loose, and the front door seals have come off 5-6 times already. The drivetrain and driving itself has been great but everything else has so far been a nightmare

What kind of floor mats are those?
Cool tech but I need a sportier look. How far away from other vehicles do you need to be to open the falcon doors? Sometimes I have no choice but to tightly park between two cars when I’m out

On the front passenger side floor covering, it seems that the carpet floor mat is still in there and the rubber mat is installed over the top of the carpet mat. Have you tried taking the carpet mat out and just installing the rubber mat? That may help the rubber mat to sit down flatter and lower. Cheers and great quick review.
Doesn't help, its like 1/4 of an inch. It needs to have like foot more room.

Hey, You mentioned the gaps, did Tesla fix them for you?
Go to the TH-cam channel Black Tesla, he has a 2021 Model S with black interior and carbon fiber trim, so you can order a Model S with carbon fiber trim. If I could afford an S or an S I would never opt for the wood trim, even if it meant I’d have to wait longer for the vehicle. Or I would have the interior customized like so many have done.

You can but the visor is where it's at. However, the visor absolutely sucks in the Model X. It's barely the width of an index card.
I use stick on sun shades and it works very well. And it is quick fold if you don’t need to use.
What about driving of plaid in the corners at a higher speeds? Is it good enough?
I don’t think it’s good if you compare to race cars, but for a heavy SUV I think it’s ok. I have both S plaid and X plaid, the S definitely handles better than the X at the corner. I rented a VW Passat before and I loved how it handles the corner, and tbh it handles better than the S plaid.
Thanks for a super review. As much as I want to like this vehicle, your review (and others) regarding the QC issues associated with this $130k+ EV keeps me away. At some point Tesla will have to invest resources / proper training in mitigating these relatively simple issues. Until that time, I'll look elsewhere. Thanks again!

At first I really didn't like it but now I'm used to it. I'm more neutral these days.
Does your model X make noise when you turn the wheel from the suspension when I am backing up my car at a low speed the suspension in the front makes loud screeching sound. Does yours do that?
That's due to your summer tires in cold weather. And yes it happens.
For that price I 100% expect the frunk to be automatic like lucid and Rivian.
My frunk now is automatic.

I got the base model 3 to save for cyber truck
The glovebox voice control in the base model 3 without premium interior works. Mine is a 2020 and has always worked since delivery

Thought I was the only one who couldn’t open the glovebox using voice command. Save me a google search on how to properly pronounce the words.
The only thing I value a Tesla is the "throttle" response/flat torque. All the other features are just nice to have/don't care.
So, I can never justify its cost to buy it, it's a pity.
Tesla prices keep increasing. This one was worth 2.5 $BTC a year ago and now it's worth 9 $BTC 🤫

Seriously, you are complaining about the wing doors being too slow? You do realize they are purposely designed that way for safety reasons. Im bit perplexed as to why this would be an issue with you when you knew this when you purchased the vehicle. Just a tad on the nitpicking side.
There are things you complain about after having the car vs looking at it at the dealership. Of course they are nitpicks, it's not perfect by any means.
@@DriversOnly I suppose my concern is that I'm scheduled to pick up my 2023 Tesla X at 2:00 p.m. today. Your comments do have me concerned about quality issues. I ordered it with enhanced auto pilot only to find out that the summons and auto parking are not working. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the order through a Tesla sales representative. Yes, I'm a bit apprehensive, but will check it out prior to purchasing.
