The only downside i am aware of with the dual-extrusion is that you can't use two different media -- for example, if you wanted to do the support pieces in water soluble material, while using the other feed for the actual PLA, that won't work with this unit.
Not a major problem, but you should at least be aware of it.

Any idea how to get the laser working right? I recently got this printer and the laser is the only thing I havent figured out yet, when testing the laser on, it does burn on wood, but when loading any of sd card designs it doesnt really engrave anything, acts like is doing it but laser doesnt seem strong enough, tried raising it, lowering but nothing comes out engraved

I had the same question. Emailed the manufacturer and they said since it's a 2-in / 1-out nozzle, you don't need to pre-heat extruder 2. Apparently the option to do that in the controller is a "future feature".

Seems like all the good reviews are from people who got the printer for free to review. Word of advice, save your money and buy a printer that actually works. Don't trust me do a search for reviews on this printer. The laser software is almost useless. Cool concept, poor execution.
