  • The review may not be pretty, but hopefully the information will be found useful to help someone else make an informed decision.
I only had a week of tinkering with another older 3D printer before I purchased the Lotmaxx Shark V2. I like it, and I've learned quite a bit since I first opened the box. In this review, I included some things I wish I had known when I opened the box.
If you buy this 3D printer, be certain you check out Lotmaxx's channel. They have a number of tutorials on how to get started and things you'll want to do before you jump right in. Things I learned the hard way before finding their channel.
I didn't cover the laser since I have not bothered to try it out yet. From other videos I've seen, it's not really powerful enough to do much more than novelty.

I bought this one from a from a liquidation store for $125. Everything works on it but I still have to learn how to use it.

Just ordered the V3 as a first printer. Hopefully I'm not in over my head!! I've always been relatively mechanically inclined. Hoping I'll get the learning curve! Anyway, your video is really much appreciated ✌️

Thanks for the review, useful information with no BS. A year down the road, would you still recommend this? They just came out with the V3 with auto leveling and laser engraving, so it looks good, but I'd like to know how the V2's held up for you.

Overall, quite well. The autoleveling has helped alot and I did replace the magnetic metal textured sheet with a somewhat flimsier magnet sheet from creality.
Overall, I still find it to be quite good. Just took some tinkering with and some learning about good pla filaments. After spending some time learning Cura5, I usually don't have an issue with bad prints anymore.
Probably my biggest desire right now is speed.
For my next printer, I'm considering the FLSun v400

The filament sensor issue is common on other printers

Hmmm. I have the exact same printer and it has auto leveling and manual. Also mine came with tubes that are long enough. Maybe your box had strange parts.

Back when i ordered mine, it had just came out and auto leveling wasn't offered. They later released a firmware update and the parts that i bought to add that functionality.
I think the short tube was just a worker accidentally cut mine too short, but i did get obligated to mention it.

what happens with me is that it says i have filliment but when ever i go to print something it shakes and jerks around and then the filliment gets loose so do i have to do the drilling thing?

There is actually an alternate way that I wish I had thought of. If you remove the screws to the box where the filament runs through, you'll see the pcb with a long metal "feeler" on it. Just bend that metal "feeler" just enough so that it will never give a false alarm when there's filament in it. It's much easier and ended up doing this for my 2nd feeder.

Just got one. Printed the lizard. Then just stopped printing. Found the red dual extruder melted the pla inside it. Trying to get it out is still beyond me, at this time...

easiest way is to get a new nozzle... That's how I fixed mine on my Flashforge Finder... They don't cost that much either.... that's a good thing!!

What do you think of the printer? Are you still using it?

I bought two anycubic vypers. Happy with the purchase. Auto leveling is the best!

Yes, still using the printer, mostly between semesters. Agreed about the auto-leveling, it's a definite game changer for this printer.

it dose have auto level probe

When I purchased mine, they did not offer it, and even answered on amazon that one could not be used with it. Despite this, their website offers the 3D touch probe for sale, and they have a firmware available for use with it. So I purchased and installed on mine.
