At 17 I did it again and again, was NEVER coming back. They found me and they and several of my aunts and uncles convinced me to come back home. My aunts and uncles sat round a table with me and my parents and heard the entire story. Then my parents asked to talk to them without me. That went on for an hour. After which I came home and they never talked about it again. Meaning, my aunts and uncles definitely didn't tell them it wasn't THEIR fault. My folks sent me off to a psychologist. 2 months later, he asked to start seeing me, WITH THEM, at which point he started trying to explain to them that how they treated me would only drive me away, and really wasn't necessary. They fired that guy and hired another shrink. Same process repeated. Once he told them it was definitely not all MY fault, they fired THAT guy and told me - no more shrinks, I needed to go back to taking Ritalin(they loved Ritalin, it turned me into this Compliant Little Zombie With NO Personality Of My Own). I hid the pills for months until I was 18. They never knew I wasn't taking it. I joined the military and about 2 years in, I came home on leave. I was going to be home for a week. My Dad had waited for me to come home, because he could save $300-400 by having me help him REPLACE THE ENTIRE ROOF. ON MY WEEK OFF. I actually went up on the first day and started helping, but it was the same old shit. Him barking orders at me, him arguing with me over shit where if he did it his way, the roof would have leaked like a seive... etc. I just went down to the living room and started watching TV. 10 minutes later he realized I had been on 'BREAK' too long and came to get me to tell me to get back to WORK. I told him HERE IS HOW ITS GONNA GO. TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. 'You can either start treating me like a GROWN MAN who you RESPECT, and NEVER talk to me like your little slave or puppet or soldier again, or I will go back to base, get a change of duty station, move to a new state, change my phone number, never send you my address, and JUST THAT EASY, NEITHER OF YOU WILL EVER SEE ME AGAIN'. Me and my Dad went fishing that afternoon. He hired someone to finish the roof replacement. Our relationship got better. He's still an old curmudgeon, but he doesn't imagine that he can just tread on me anymore. Which was good enough for us eventually become kind of friends again. My mother, she's UNFIXABLE. She thinks every single person she has ever met is there to do literally everything for her. I've never met someone so lazy. She won't feed herself if she can get someone to do it. She just doesn't care what anyone thinks. So I literally just never talk to her unless I HAVE TO, and she no longer really has a Son. Works just FINE for me.

It's amazing to me that in a video that's literally making fun of parents who do this, there are actually people defending this kind of behavior. My parents always told me to control my anger, never to use violence, and to be respectful of other people's feelings. All the while, they screamed at me, hit me, and broke my stuff as form of discipline. Now I'm on disability because I'm afraid to go outside (agoraphobia), been struggling like this for 10 years now. Listen, every kid is different, I'm not saying if you do these things your kid will end up like me, I'm just saying it could happen, and it's better to teach by example than to do the "do as I say, not as I do" thing. Also if you want your kids to respect you, remember even as a parent, respect is something you need to earn. Edit: Also sorry for being a downer, it was a good video! I always love this channel!
I remember of my own childhood/ teen years and when I had to discipline the kids of my host family during my au par year, that it's so much more effective and efficient when you calmly explain kids why their behaviour wasn't ok and how to do it better next time. I always felt more bad about my behaviour when getting these calm talks because it made sense and made me think about the things I did. Screaming at kids or even hitting makes then only being afraid of getting yelled at or being hit. And *not* because of doing things that aren't ok. Kids aren't dumb. You only need to explain it to them in a way that they understand. I'm sorry that you had to go through this and caused your condition. I really hope you find people and ways to make life easier for you again.
People who do this to their kids are the same jackasses who complain that their adult children don't talk to them anymore. Gee, I wonder why? Also, destroying the kid's game console or laptop in front of them makes zero sense, especially when it's the parent who bought those things. Like, if you're permanently taking that away from them, at least sell it and get that money back!

Also parents: why can't I get along with my children?
you beat the puppy and then ask why it growls at you when it's older
"Why does my child hate me. After they grew up they don't visit me anymore 😢"
@@Mark12434 I vividly remember daydreaming, at like 14 years old, escaping my parents.
When they found out, they swore up and down that when I was older, I would understand, and I would laugh at how I thought I wanted to escape them.
I am 50. Being away from them is the only time I can relax. I get away from their insane bullshit and I become myself again. Around them, they think I am there to be their servant, nothing else.
@@freighttrain7143hopefully one day i can escape them but tbh i dont have much hope for my future even just getting a home let alone in a faraway country like i ideally want plus with a stable financial and social life above that and somehow overcoming my trauma would be a miracle
@@Blaze_1379 Here is the rest of the story.
At 14 I imagined escaping them.
At 16 I started trying.
I ran away from home, was gone for 2 weeks until they found me and drug me home.
The way the glasses are squeezing your nostrils 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t know if that was on purpose, but it’s absolute comedy gold
He smells in all four directions
I love how the dad started looking offended like, "Son is getting to many roasts in" 😂
oh nooo my kid is actually defending themselves and calling my tyranny out nooo theyre meant to be non intelligent creatures noo they have basic human intelligence i thought they werent human nooooo
Bro you're afraid of going outside
Weirdo
Steve I hope you're doing okay❤
@@MaskedMazter he isn't weird dude
Sending you hugs Steve. I hope you eventually find healing.
That's the amusing part.
If they bought it for them, they essentially burn their own cash, an if the kid bought it himself working part time in the summer - they're commiting a crime i.e. destruction of property xDDD
@@TheKain202 But it's okay if they're destroying another person's property, because that person is a child!
@@TheKain202 it's not a crime lol. A child doesn't have posession.
@@youravghuman5231 Please don't ever have children. I've read through several of your comments and honestly, I can only see you committing abuse because you think the child is your property and you can do whatever you want with your property. Just don't have kids.

the jojo music is too funny cos this feels like something that'd happen in the flashback of a jojo character 💀

Bro was not living a peaceful life he chose violence 💀
Lol that "now go clean your room." at the end was so real. X'D
i love how emotionally mature the kid is in this situation lmao
kids are always more mature than their parents humans may age forwards but mature backwards and thats why so many kids eventually end up becoming deranged abusive psychopaths themselves when they become adults
Idk what sick joy a parent gets out of publically punishing their kids, it's bad enough that they are being punished like that in the first place but at least it gets awareness out and gives law enforcement the evidence they need to do something about the parent
Being disciplined is not bad

The worst thing about it is that theres a lot of people out there who actually accepts that behavior of the parent
Parents can basically do no wrong in this country as long as people can convince themselves they were doing it to socialize their kid even if that's way off base. Children, on the other hand, are basically guilty until proven innocent.

That Bushido Brown stomp on the ps5 lol
This gotta be the most evil and forbidden way of punishment, not only are you setting your child up to be bullied at school each and every single day, you are also setting them up to be kidnapped or killed by a random stranger.
The double stomp with the surprised, confused face. Straight from the Bruce Lee handbook.
Wondered if anyone else thought that. Straight out of Enter the Dragon.
And then when they get backlash, they make a 13 second “apology” video. And are never seen again😂😂 😂
Cilvanis's videos have some crazy good cinematography. The acting, the angles, the music, the sound effects, etc. Like no joke, each one could be an entire anime plot and I'd watch all of them.
I busted out laughing as the music got more and more orchestrated and bombastic. It sounded like the dad's supervillian theme started playing.

I like the ones that are obviously staged, like the ones from Angry Grandpa and Mcjuggernuggets, but the ones that are actually real I just dont know what's going on through these parents heads that make them think that it's okay to record discipline and post it online. Also anyone remember those christmas prank videos where parents get the box of an item they know their kids want then fill it with like rocks or something and think its funny so they record it and post it online too? I'm so sorry that you had abusive parents like this, I hope you're okay now. Physical discipline, even by parents who are otherwise warm and loving, can lead to more misbehavior and mental health problems in children. Research shows that harsh verbal discipline, which becomes more common as children get older, may lead to more behavior problems and symptoms of depression in teens. It will also increase the chances of the person getting violent in the future. I wish everyone had good parents.
