Cool vid. Old Raven here. AC6 did go big for sure. Biggest yet in the series I’d wager. With the enhanced Assault Boost and increased upward mobility, the player can forget the size of the world as it is easily scalable by a half decent pilot. For me PvP is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. Spectating 2 teams that properly communicate in a party of some sort, can be quite a sight to behold. Even your best build with your best map don’t mean shit if you ain’t ready to strap in for some heart racing, adrenaline pumping, insanity that would give a robot a seizure. I love this game. Looking forward to more of your content. Earned a like and sub.
The scale has always been one of my favorite things about the series. From the STAI battleship in AC2 to the Arms Forts in For Answer. Always just jaw dropping.
I just love how you edited this and used an IG AC as an animated model to make the video more interesting. It's really nice. (and the Iguazu angry typing scene made me laugh 🤣)
Came by to watch this after a certain 5hr and 30m movie. Just wanna say this is an eye opener never thought how actually big all these things are great work. Also this animtions with G5 and your custom AC were awesome.
This was so well produced, thank you for walking me through the scale comparisons like the math plebian I am. I feel like this only added to my understanding and the general conversation in the community. Plus: It's clear from both Elden Ring and AC6 that From is very serious about expanding scale significantly, which makes me incredibly excited for the future!
Dude, that blueprint AC character is so smoothly animated and engaging. I haven't gotten very far into AC6, but I guess all of these bigger bosses are still largely traversible and open-world like the strider was, which would be fucking sick. There's no better way to display the hyper-capitalism of this universe than to create mind-bogglingly large structures at insane speeds
Warframe's Praghasa sentient, is a sentient machine built solely on the purpose of consuming the sun. In some photos, you can see Praghasa overshadowing a 4km long grineer galleon. In a reddit post I found with the photo, they can infer it was about 100-150 km in both width and length each.
The quality of the editing and animation, the deep dive into accurate pixel measurements this a an amazing video and you’ve earned a subscriber! Looking forward to what you do next
Wow I adore the humor and visuals for this video. Your lil animated AC avatar is just oozing with charm. And those are just the cherry on top to the well-presented info! Excellent stuff.
I have to say yours is my favourite of this series of "AC6 is big" videos. Endless effort in editing, great music choices, amazing IRL comparisons. Length and height is just as impossible for me to comprehend as for example numbers are for basically anybody. I could never understand how can someone roughly say how far aways A is from B when talking about a long driving session or how far away I live from the train station, etc. After certain point they're insanely over our knowledge.
on the topic of speed, i've done some quick and dirty calculations for the acs in for answer and... mach 6.6. that's the fastest that i've seen an ac go in any for answer footage. it accelerated to around 8000km/h from around 200km/h in 7 frames for a 60 fps game. this means it's acceleration was around 1450g. to give some perspective, the fastest known theoretical acceleration on a gundam is 20g. note that this was just peak speed, fastest sustained speed i saw was just over mach 5.
Sometimes I wish this game had 4A movement, but it's hard to complain about what we got. Also, 1450g is absolutely bonkers, that pilot has to have been a pile of mush by the end of that
the mention of fully-rendered-to-scale-planets reminds me of how star citizen went balls to the wall with their simulation dimensions, and are working with playable volumes the size of entire solar systems, although none of the ships come close to the absurd scale of the man made stuff in AC6
there are two reasons why supersonic helicopters are "challenging" to say the least: 1.) The rotor provides up-lift by turning. Lift is dependent on air speed. When you move in a orthogonal direction to the spin axis of the rotor one side is producing more lift, than the other, because rotation speed and travel speed add up. This induces torque and the helicopters wants to roll over. Real helicopters counter this by angeling the blades relative to the position they are in. But even the fastest helicopters only reach 500km/h 2.) Your maximum theoretical topspeed on any propeller aircraft equals the air speed at the tip of your propeller. For a supersonic vehicle it has to be supersonic. But it's a propeller, this means it moves in a circle. This means the tips of the propeller move supersonic and the center area subsonic and in between there is a point that breaks the soundbarrier constantly, producing extreme noise and vibrations and general stress on the vehicle. Don't know how they manage it on a propeller the size of the Titanic.
Something that would be really intersting to compare to is the grid pillars/platforms. They easily dwarf the strider for example, and some of the missions take place on them entirely.
I dont know if its as big necessarily, but the xenoblade series also has wonderful giant setpieces. Xenoblade 1 has the two main titans of bionis and mechonis, xenoblade 2 has the various titans and the world tree, which is similar in appearance to the vascular plant, and xenoblade 3 has the mechonis sword as a towering landmark. I love games with such a sense of scale and ive been loving my armored core playthrough(s) so far
I'm halfway through my 2nd run and I had no idea the coral plant was that big. Makes me feel kinda dumb when I think of how astonished I was at the erdtree
Ok guys , so i did some math. Rubicon diameter is 942km , moon diameter is 1737km , Rubicon being that small would give it way lower gravity than Earth or even the moon , to put things into perspective , a 60 ton tank in the moon would weight a mere 10 tons , in Rubicon gravity it would be even lighter , the closest i found to Rubicon size was Pluto and when you put a 60 ton tank here , it ends with a weight of a mere 4 tons (that is lighter than a Armored humvee in Earth) , so Pluto gravity is almost 15 times lesser than in Earth and considering Rubicon is even smaller that number could be 16-17. So even if your mech had a weight of 960 tons in Earth , in Rubicon it would weight just 60 tons ! , if you go with the gravity route , it can make some sense of the Mechs being the size they are and moving at the speeds they move , since gravity is so low in Rubicon in first place PD: the Scopedog from Armored Troopers Votoms would weight 418 kilos in Rubicon
I never knew much about AC until I played AC6 and the one thing I started to realize as I played my first playthrough was that these mechs are hella quick for their size. Coming from someone who is a big Warhammer nerd, I equated them to the size of an Imperial Knight and one of the larger versions too
This video is so well done, the editing to the visuals is great! I was already really interested in big-mecha-machine game but now I'm really interested, great job!
I'd Argue the Orbital Defense Platforms are the biggest as they are mounted to an Orbital Ring that is several KM's past the Atmosphere and go all the way around the Circumference of the planet.
I could imagine an open-world hybird Armored Core game, most likely exclusive to next gen. I say hybrid because it will mostly be like Elden Ring except the garage acts as the Round Table, with the arena function acting much the same way. With the scale of some of these buildings and structures, it will be the most unique open-world experience ever!
Yeah, I like this kind of scale in games. I'm planning on having an object in the skybox of the FPS I'm working on be over a light-second long, it's a warp cannon, the only known method of FTL travel. It's going to appear as a thin white line though, as it's pretty far away.
1:16 CONEX boxes (Or ISO containers if you don't want to use the carry-over term from the Korean War) are a surprisingly good unit of measurement whenever massive machines are involved... They are uniform, familiar, and something we can easily use.
maybe the 50 tonnes for the tank build make sense, since rubicon is much smaller then the earth and has much less gravity. It could also explain how this gigantic helicopters can fly
One thing to conisidered how arquebus was able to restore the vascular plant in the time they did was. If you read RaD's AC parts, it gives insight that ACs arent just weapons of war, but also fancy forklifts.
my guy, this might be your best video. it's insane to see the progress of your production quality. you clearly put a lot of time and love into your videos. much love and excited to see more
The first time I saw something that really made me feel dwarfed was in Transformers: War for Cybertron, which had its own Strider adjacent mission. That thing blew my mind. Despite having giant structures in past Armored Cores, the series didn't do that to me until this game. After the scenery and the strider, I knew things would get even crazier. The Vascular Plant straight up left me in quiet awe for like 10 minutes as I wondered how something like that could exist. And sure, it's a videogame, but there's just something so fun about feeling dwarfed by something impossibly massive.
I'll never forget Zullie the Witch's video about the Strider, the thing's length starting from Castle Morne can actually reach all the way to the Erdtree.
The edition, animations and lore/IRL accuracity was amazing, i really like this video and i hope you get us more vids like this one, keep up the good work buddy 💯
I spent a lot of time grasping the size of the world around me in AC6. I did this until I was in the underground mission before you come across the meal worms and I found a staircase for humans that led no where.
ngl, got my sub, only thing i could possibly imagine adding to it was showing the satellite laser's size and the good old answerer to have a similar scale of what the largest enemy was in older ACs compared to now(im not 100% sure the answerer was the largest, but it felt like while being bombarded by lasers)
I wanted to cover that (along with the Xylem and most of the minor bosses) but I started scrambling to get this finished once I saw how much work was being done by Zullie on the same topic 😅 I gotta learn how to work faster, since it doesn't feel great cutting corners like that
In regards to the clickbait angle regarding popularity, I love seeing a brilliant franchise from my youth (made by one of the handful of developers who haven't become literal avatars of capitalistic greed) explode in relative popularity. The game kicks ass and FromSoft deserves the love.
i like the tid bits of in side science and scale when it comes to games; from openworld scale TH-cam channels, to notably how fitting it is to be in Armored Core. subbed!
Supreme Commanders UEF "Black Sun" was a cannon the size of an hawaiian Island Supreme Commander 2 had a gigantic planet sized structure in its final mission
I like how you also made a similar style to every scale of its colour scheme like a blueprint compare to the “Real Engineering” in every Formulas, Equations, and Measurements
Another example of "manmade" object as massive as the endgame Vascular Plant, would be the Spear of Adun from Starcraft 2, which is basically a battle-ready, ftl-ready Noah's Ark the Protoss race built millenia before the events of the game, measuring about 75 kilometers long and 32 kilometers wide. There were originally 3 of them, but the other 2 were destroyed by the Zerg during the events of Starcraft 1
awesome video, the animation work and how lively you made your representative AC model behave was quite fun to watch, even when it held the PC of elden ring as if it was a toy figure. xD Armored Core always gave me this strange feeling of being at home in a space not made for me, that is, the perspective of piloting an AC, and that the whole environment around ACs and MTs being design to facilitate their use, as either labor machines or combat. its also insane to imagine that older AC games happened mostly under ground, stuff like Layered from AC3 having such varied urban parts and even its own ecosystem with forests and seas.
I like that it still tries to scale everything according to human proportions, even if no humans appear in the game itself to compare.

The low gravity would cause their bodies to atrophy and they'd all eventually die from living in that environment for too long. It's a game about mechs, not some simulator. Don't take it that seriously.
@@Saru-yr3qkyou DO realise that cybernetics are a widespread thing by the time of armored core 6,right?
So it's not out of the question that most of the rubicon citizens use cybernetics to make up for that, or generate artificial gravity.
So overall, your point is rather moot tbh.
@@Saru-yr3qk "Just don't think about it" is a lame way to stop a conversation people are having fun with. It's also a lame way to defend something you like against perceived criticism.
Tried the blueprint thing again, but with slightly less cringe this time.
I didn't have anyone double-check my calculations or visual comparisons, so let me know if I messed anything up along the way. If not, then feel free to share any feedback or suggestions for future videos if you have any!
I really like the blueprint, keep it up man it's really nice
It looks good
just to put that helicopter in perspective that lil inch bit more -
the WW2 Battleship Yamato was 263m longer. 33m longer then that helicopter.
Im really glad you kept going after all the demotivating dips. there's nothing that motivates me to keep pushing on in blender than incredible proof of concepts like yourself
Yeah, sometimes we all just need to get over those few big hurdles in our way to see that the rest of the race isn't so bad. Glad I could help give some motivation, and best of luck on your future projects!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Xylem. Despite being considerably smaller than the vascular plant, that thing is absolutely massive.
That's what I was thinking. Ship was large enough to have a city be a tiny chunk of it
I LOVE THE AC ANIMATION
You using your own AC as an Avatar. DO MORE
can we get a share code for that ac avatar ?
fantastic video quality and production. Keep on the good work, AC6 needs as much exposure as it can get!
This is so ridiculously slick-looking. The animated AC avatar is gorgeously done. I love everything you're doing here with the presentation.
"If they're gonna say I'm copying Zullie I'm gonna break her ankles and just do the whole damn planet then."
Finally, a video that talks about From Software's biggest "tree" to date. Root and extended trunk combined.
3:31 won best fashion core award though
6:05 It's a kilometer taller than a Sh'wada-pattern Supercarrier is long or _barely_ shorter than the Unyielding Hierophant is long.
Yes, the monstrously large Super Shipyard/Battlestation/Command and Control Center/Repair Station/Refit Station that's also capable of supporting a fleet of over 500 capital ships and the Vascular Plant is almost as tall as the Unyielding Hierophant is long.

Well given Arquebus is a _Interstellar Mega-Corporation._ They likely have the material and muscle to pull something of like that.
Amazing animations! And I love the narration. "Because I lied". And then, smash the animation. I laughed hard! Thank you so much for your work!
Blimey, that helicopter could cause weather anomalies if it were real.
I feel like I'm watching an episode of Big, Bigger, Biggest but with Armored Core as the focus. Also just stumbled across your channel--love this!
Tysm! I've not heard of that series before, so I'll check it out and maybe see if I can get any extra inspiration from it
When talking about big stuff in video games, "Asura's Wrath" always comes to mind. :)
YES, I wanted to mention Wyzen so badly, but I had to limit it to man-made objects to keep the list at the end a manageable size

Damn, and I thought the models for the Xylem and the PCA Orbital Defense Laser was crazy big.
I just love how you edited this and used an IG AC as an animated model to make the video more interesting.
It's really nice. (and the Iguazu angry typing scene made me laugh 🤣)
Thank you, and I'm surprised how many people quickly recognized that it was Iguazu, I thought a lot of people would forget what he looked like 😅
@@VLimit11 believe me, players won't 😀
Damn good break down, had no idea the the planet and the giant coral tower where to scale thats a very very interesting detail.
Came by to watch this after a certain 5hr and 30m movie. Just wanna say this is an eye opener never thought how actually big all these things are great work. Also this animtions with G5 and your custom AC were awesome.
Thank you so much! Both this and the other project were a ton of fun working on the visuals for, so I'm glad you enjoyed them 😄
@@VLimit11 no problem can't wait too see what's next for ya V
I had to pause the video for a solid 30 seconds because of 2:20 that was so unexpected LMAO.
I just found your channel.. and the content scratches that little itch the geeky & science part of my brain, its so cool!
I cant even begin to imagine how you made those animations. Extremely high quality and well done!!! Good video
Also, 1450g is absolutely bonkers, that pilot has to have been a pile of mush by the end of that
@@VLimit11 ACfA LYNX are flexing their Ace Combat protagonist powers
the mention of fully-rendered-to-scale-planets reminds me of how star citizen went balls to the wall with their simulation dimensions, and are working with playable volumes the size of entire solar systems, although none of the ships come close to the absurd scale of the man made stuff in AC6
there are two reasons why supersonic helicopters are "challenging" to say the least:
1.) The rotor provides up-lift by turning. But even the fastest helicopters only reach 500km/h
2.) Your maximum theoretical topspeed on any propeller aircraft equals the air speed at the tip of your propeller.
Abel's Ark in Xenosaga 3. Imagine something with the dimensions of a Super Destroyer (Vader's SD in RotJ) but carries planetoids wedged across it.
"You're incorrigible, Handler Walter.."
Something that would be really intersting to compare to is the grid pillars/platforms. They easily dwarf the strider for example, and some of the missions take place on them entirely.
I remember doing the inspection mission and seeing some cars and trucks all over the place. Took me a minute to realize they're full sized vehicles
So even if your mech had a weight of 960 tons in Earth , in Rubicon it would weight just 60 tons ! , if you go with the gravity route , it can make some sense of the Mechs being the size they are and moving at the speeds they move , since gravity is so low in Rubicon in first place
PD: the Scopedog from Armored Troopers Votoms would weight 418 kilos in Rubicon
I never knew much about AC until I played AC6 and the one thing I started to realize as I played my first playthrough was that these mechs are hella quick for their size. Coming from someone who is a big Warhammer nerd, I equated them to the size of an Imperial Knight and one of the larger versions too
That butthurt inflatable typing Iguazu was great.
Now to watch the rest of the video. I'm gonna enjoy it, it seems.
Well when fast food corporations are hiring mercenaries to take out their competition, that’s when you know you’ve made it big.
Regardless of size, idk if anyone will ever be able to beat the X-MECH-DONALD'S AC
This video is so well done, the editing to the visuals is great! I was already really interested in big-mecha-machine game but now I'm really interested, great job!
The Napenthes is around the length of the longest hole ever dug on earth
I need that gif of Iguazu rapidly typing.
With the scale of some of these buildings and structures, it will be the most unique open-world experience ever!
the dream game
Maybe we can drive our transport vehicles and deploy as ac when in combat or mission zone
sounds like a great idea, although that takes away the excuse to use vanguard overboost. Still has its uses though.@@abeeocta2599
Man, you deserve a lot more views. The editing was great, and I love seeing AC6 getting the love it deserves.
Yeah, I like this kind of scale in games. I'm planning on having an object in the skybox of the FPS I'm working on be over a light-second long, it's a warp cannon, the only known method of FTL travel. It's going to appear as a thin white line though, as it's pretty far away.
i have to give you props for using the exact same ac to beat all the missions to get footage, i respect that
Yeah, Armored cores are back to AC3 size only a few inches taller than ac3 AC's even though AC6 AC's don't have that many parts in them.
1:16 CONEX boxes (Or ISO containers if you don't want to use the carry-over term from the Korean War) are a surprisingly good unit of measurement whenever massive machines are involved... They are uniform, familiar, and something we can easily use.
a surprisingly consistent measurement for a game object
Amazing work. Animations are legit studio level here. Hope you get some traction in the algo
maybe the 50 tonnes for the tank build make sense, since rubicon is much smaller then the earth and has much less gravity. It could also explain how this gigantic helicopters can fly
The dredge music at the outro was exquisite 👌 also holy fuck this game gets big
holy shit that's BIG, REALLY REALLY BIG....Colossal!!!
indeed the title is not a joke, hell it's an understatement!
One thing to conisidered how arquebus was able to restore the vascular plant in the time they did was. If you read RaD's AC parts, it gives insight that ACs arent just weapons of war, but also fancy forklifts.
Shrek: do you think he is compensating for something?
7:29 hmm maybe, your mom
"An Armored Core is about as big as a Transformer" is probably the best comparison I've ever heard.
I saw this one video comparing the height of various mechs throughout media and I forgot how indescribably massive Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan was.
my guy, this might be your best video. it's insane to see the progress of your production quality. you clearly put a lot of time and love into your videos. much love and excited to see more
The first time I saw something that really made me feel dwarfed was in Transformers: War for Cybertron, which had its own Strider adjacent mission.
I wanted to cover that (along with the Xylem and most of the minor bosses) but I started scrambling to get this finished once I saw how much work was being done by Zullie on the same topic 😅
I gotta learn how to work faster, since it doesn't feel great cutting corners like that
Cool video, this games art style and sense of scale have gotten me obsessed, im praying for a DLC/sequel
This game was such a great surprise to me !
In regards to the clickbait angle regarding popularity, I love seeing a brilliant franchise from my youth (made by one of the handful of developers who haven't become literal avatars of capitalistic greed) explode in relative popularity. The game kicks ass and FromSoft deserves the love.
i like the tid bits of in side science and scale when it comes to games; from openworld scale TH-cam channels, to notably how fitting it is to be in Armored Core. subbed!
the stellaris gigastructures mod lets you make a giant sphere around a super massive blackhole like the one in the center of the milky way
I could imagine there’s a common and treatable solution for a phobia working with the sheer size and scale of structures in that universe
stellaris is packed with massive megastructures
Supreme Commanders UEF "Black Sun" was a cannon the size of an hawaiian Island
Supreme Commander 2 had a gigantic planet sized structure in its final mission
Xenogears has a similarly massive sense of scale.
why the hell did they make the entire planet life size
Because they can
I like how you also made a similar style to every scale of its colour scheme like a blueprint compare to the “Real Engineering” in every Formulas, Equations, and Measurements
There were originally 3 of them, but the other 2 were destroyed by the Zerg during the events of Starcraft 1
awesome video, the animation work and how lively you made your representative AC model behave was quite fun to watch, even when it held the PC of elden ring as if it was a toy figure. xD
Armored Core always gave me this strange feeling of being at home in a space not made for me, that is, the perspective of piloting an AC, and that the whole environment around ACs and MTs being design to facilitate their use, as either labor machines or combat.
its also insane to imagine that older AC games happened mostly under ground, stuff like Layered from AC3 having such varied urban parts and even its own ecosystem with forests and seas.
Please use more animated mechs! I just saw got recommended this video and the editing is really nice! Epic sub
This being my first time even hearing about armored core, let alone playing, it’s titanic scale is one of my favorite things about it
Boy that helicopter is a flying football field
My god, the amount of editing and animation put into this video... 👏👏👏
