True but unfortunately panic took hold in the colonists by that time. The vast majority of the colony was already dead and most of the dead were already hunting down the survivors as necromorphs. These are some really well made videos, the theme, the audio, the occasional memes, the way you somehow manage to make it really easy to understand. Absolutely amazing job
I was highly doubtful that no one on Aegis VII got out. This was amazing, I never knew about the spin-offs. Only the main 3 Dead Space games. The way you pieced the events together helped me understand what happened in Aegis VII a lot more. When I was there with Isaac I can barely imagine what took place.
This is a very well-structured timeline, with a combination of visual storytelling and occasional interjections to add further context for the clip in current display, than any video I've come across in TH-cam. I hope you continue making dead space content with such tremendous quality and for other lore-driver franchises like Witcher, Halo, etc.
The efforts that went into this video is absolutely insane, from the animations to the extensive study of the lore, events and timelines. This video shoud have millions of views. Instead, barely anyone that played the games knows about it. Such a shame of under-appreciated talent....
Incredible video bro, I know next to nothing about Dead Space but this video really hooked me. I've seen others' videos and they just don't engage me in the same way as yours. Kudos. Keep it up. You're bound to have success with this level of quality.
Appreciate that! I'm trying to branch out to making content for more games, and I'm glad I could help introduce you to the Dead Space universe with this one.
This is fantastic, I greatly appreciate the work done here as the deadspace lore is something I enjoy very much. I hope you do more longform content like this in the future around anything you may take interest in.
If you get in their shoes, this is such a tragedy, loosing that many people in a few days and a lot of these is because of panic, this is insane. By the way, amazing video, I'm a massive fan of Dead Space and this contextualize the before perfectly. The use of every medium is done beautifully. If you could do the Ishimura too, it would be so cool!
Honestly, it is really impressive how perfectly the game and the external media projects line up. Usually stuff like this gets muddied between production or more slips theough the cracks. But it's so very clear that Dead Space was a passion project for Visceral and their writers. I'm so happy that the remake from 2023 was made with the same care and passion, if from a different team.
I hope you make a dead space video for the Ishimura. This was S teir editing and story telling. I am beyond amazed that this doesn't have over 1 million views!
Once I discovered it, I would find myself watching dead space downfall before starting a new game of the original dead space game itself. Helps me get more immersed and tie everything together.
The level effort of that you've put into organising your visual presentation is tremendous. Definitely one of my favourite analysis videos on one of my favourite franchises. Man, this makes me so nostalgic. I've only played Dead Space two years after it came out, since I had no console of that generation at that time. But I borrowed a friend's Xbox 360 over the 2010 Christmas holidays, and Dead Space was one of the first games I played. I've actually watched the Downfall movie years prior, since in 2008 I got a new laptop with a Blu-ray drive, and I also never had a Blu-ray player before. So, I wanted to test it and the laptop's HD screen out, went to the local video rental, and just picked up Downfall on BR, because it intrigued me being an R-rated cartoon. I was aware of the Dead Space game at the time, but had almost zero interest in the game. Fast foreward to 2010, and I remembered that movie and that its setting and story intrigued me (Alien is my favorite movie of all time, and it gave me Alien vibes). I was a little bit sick, so I spent my holidays mostly gaming, lights dimmed, Xbox hooked up on my 5.1 surround system, volume up, and holy crap, no other game since RE4 had captured my imagination like this. I was actually tensed up and my heart was beating like crazy. I will never forget playing Dead Space for the first time. I became a hardcore fan, literally bought every comic, novel, movie, even the big trilogy art book. I also collected every behind the scenes feature, interview, trailer, and all the motion comic episodes in the best possible quality that I could find online, and authored my own DVD, with menues, editings and so on. I never got to burn it on a DVD unfortunately, since my PC got fried, and the files were lost forever :( After DS3 and when it looked like the series was dead, I kinda lost my zeal for the franchise, until the remake was announced. I wasn't actually looking forward to it, but when the reviews came out, I had to admit it looked amazing. I'm playing it right now, and all I can say is it is one of the best game remakes I've ever played. I know the original game inside and out, I can go through the hardest difficulty blindfolded. All the little changes in the remake give me that amazing feeling again... how it felt playing Dead Space for the first time.
This video is so well made, It's nice seeing people passionate enough to take the time to create such good content. The aesthetic, the narration, the frames to show the characters involved, the dubbing for the comics, everything is expertly thought out. Even the subtitles for the video have been made ! Anyway, thanks a lot for an incredible job
This was a very good cover of the story of the Aegis-7 colony, put everything together cohesively and was easy to follow. Also appreciated the little bits of flair you put in, great job dude! 👍
This is an awesome video! I'm in the middle of a Dead Space 2023 NG+ run . I had fond memories of the game and its lore, got instantly caught up when I started playing that updated version. I'm really happy to have stumbled upon your work. It got me captivated from the first minute to the last 😃 Time to check your other vids...
You also could've used the Divet(P-Sec pistol) and Pulse Rifle for body shots in addition to the Rivet Gun and flamethrower to avoid dismemberment if possible. Cause if you look back through the video you can see some enemies being dismembered by the flamethrower in some of the game footage from Extraction you used.
Bro this the best kill count/storyline videos I've ever seen on Dead Space tying the comic/extraction parts of the movie masterful work man thank you so much. I just beat Dead Space Remake, and I saw that they had added some new story beats and I wanted to catch up on lore and stumbled upon your video and im so glad I did, you made my experience so much better for it.
This was such a cool watch as someone who loves the DS lore. The splicing of relevant events during the Aegis VII incident was well done since so much craziness happened during that time.
wow, god damn, honestly this is almost like watvhing a movie the way you stitched this all together, watched the whole thing, can wait for the ishimura death toll.
Your presentation is hands the best amongst any Dead Space content creators, hell amongst probably most of the people who produce content for this platform. Video's production quality and especially the editing left me speechless. Bravo dude... Also, your work currently stands as the best one to compile almost all of the notable events that took place prior to Isaac's arrival to Ishimura. And goes to show the rich amount of stories that can be explored or fleshed out for nearly any piece of audio-visual piece of storytelling. For example (even though it's irrelevant) that mobile Dead Space game which has been delisted, if remastered or remaked, hell even if turned into a standalone film, can be a really solid project. Same goes for most of the other works mentioned here. People really underestimate the universe created for Dead Space, it's as I mentioned, is insanely rich. Ripe for inspiration. Just think about a TV series in the same format of HBO's Chernobyl that brings all these storylines together into one considerably long experience, giving each source material ample justice. Stuff of dreams man, I tell you... At least for me, as I'm a HUGE Dead Space nerd. I know this comment will be lost within many others but I really wanted show my appreciation towards your incredible coverage of this game and the encapsulating series of connected works. And the way you did it... Is unimaginably great. This might be my favorite piece of content covering Dead Space now. From one fan to (seemingly) another, thank you for this. If I had any cash to splash aroun, all of it would already be in your pockets by now but all I got is this comment and one subscribe and like each. Take care man and never stop creating!
This was amazingly done, the rare small jokes in text or pictures, the overall tone of the video, the audio and visual aids, even subtitles. Everything was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it! I understand how much work was put into it, but I honestly hope you will make another video about Dead Space in a similar fashion. Thank you for this experience! 🖤
This is one of the best lore videos I've ever seen. And certanly the best edited! Also I find Dead Space's continuity pretty damn good but it would have been great to see Alissa Vincent's final message in the remake.
Whats soo scary to me is how fast everyone was killed when the necromorphs emerged. People tried to fight them but it didnt do any good. All those poor people were slaughtered and left to die on the colony and in the grand scheme of things that only made things worse.
This was an awesome video. I'm not even into Dead Space, but this lore video you made was so interesting and so well written. Personally, I would LOVE to see you cover more Dead Space stuff, kill counts, story, whatever. This was really fun to watch!
Absolutely brilliant content, astonishingly well produced! 50 minutes feeling like 5. Looking forward to seeing part 2 someday! :D
Great Video Story of Aegis VII. You should do the Ishimura next after Aegis Toll. That's where the horrors of the Marker and the Necromorphs continue.
I'm definitely considering it!
These are some really well made videos, the theme, the audio, the occasional memes, the way you somehow manage to make it really easy to understand. Absolutely amazing job
This is absolutely amazing, I was so immersed in the story and characters, and your editing amplified that ten fold.
Subscribed ❤
Hopefully this video continues to take off can't believe it's only got 18k views Right now, great work dude.
Im only a little over half done but this is one of THE best DS videos I've seen on youtube!
This is one of the best timeline reviews and timeline walkthroughs I have seen I would adore more content like this!
The production quality of this video is so insane. This feels like an official Dead Space thing.
This is fantastic, I greatly appreciate the work done here as the deadspace lore is something I enjoy very much. I hope you do more longform content like this in the future around anything you may take interest in.
I've been searching for an in depth timeline of the events before Isaac arrived for awhile now and this did not disappoint. Great work man!
You know I'm happy someone actually talks about the mobile game. Was starting to think it never existed at this rate
Fantastically well constructed, thank you for helping me finally understand the build up to events on the Ishimura!
If you get in their shoes, this is such a tragedy, loosing that many people in a few days and a lot of these is because of panic, this is insane.
By the way, amazing video, I'm a massive fan of Dead Space and this contextualize the before perfectly. The use of every medium is done beautifully. If you could do the Ishimura too, it would be so cool!
very well made video, love the editing piecing all the different dead spaces together to make a complete story.
i loved how this has been put together, hope to see others made like this of the other events
This is the first video of yours I've ever watched. Incredible work, I feel like I understand Aegis VII's fate better now than I ever have before

I love the little bits of humour mixed in with the semi serious tone of the video. Marvelous work!
Once I discovered it, I would find myself watching dead space downfall before starting a new game of the original dead space game itself. Helps me get more immersed and tie everything together.
This is amazing, thank you for putting all that work in, it's appreciated.
This was actually pretty good, you should do videos for the death tolls aboard the Ishimura and Titan Station if you ever get around to doing that.
Hell yeah my dude, been waiting for this one
Had to join in on the Dead Space hype before any sequel news (also I'm still kind of hoping for Extraction DLC 😅)
The level effort of that you've put into organising your visual presentation is tremendous. Definitely one of my favourite analysis videos on one of my favourite franchises. Incredibly well-articulated and laid out chronologically for ease of viewing. When you have the time, please do one for Dead Space 2 and 3. ^^
really admire your work here, so comprehensive story telling !
I absolutely love how the story is told very seriously and then you just throw a curve ball with some memes thrown in, bravo lol
My god, the amount of lore and with it’s tie-in is just so fascinating to watch!
I love how you edit this using the asset from dead space and the joke’s are so Well done!
You’ve just earned a subscriber!
This is written so well, I really hope you do the Ishimura since I haven't checked yet. You did awesome, man!!
Underrated video compared to the effort. This deserves so much more
Bro used a furry convention to reference the size of a fictional colony 💀
Earthgov: ‘Declares mineral rich star system off limits’ ‘refuses to elaborate’ ‘leaves’
Character stories before Isaac Clarke's arrival is so intriguing. I love it so much.
Hats of to you, m8, probably the best video there is about what happened to Aegis VII, at least the best one I watched,
The combination of the comics, games and movies as a very detailed Video Log is astonishing, also the memes added a good spice to it.
dude the quality and sweat that you've put into this video is insane, huge hype for part 2 (hopefully)
Stellar video! Loving attention was put into the lore and timing everything up! The way you presented the audio log for the shuttle bay crash was *chefs kiss* I'm definitely saving this video for the next time I need to brush up on the lore. I would LOVE to see this same treatment done to the events and individuals on the Ishimura before the Kellion arrives.
This video brings my dead space Brainrot to a highest point.
Amazing explanation. Would love to see the Ishimura video later down the line!
This sort of content is ovbiously made with passion, need more stuff like this on youtube.
Thank you V-limit 💕 hope your able to do a part 2
Thank you so much! The current view count has me considering doing it a few videos down the line instead of right away, but I definitely want to have it done at some point in the future
17:32 I bet they wish they could have just created a black hole, to end this before it began.
I never got to burn it on a DVD unfortunately, since my PC got fried, and the files were lost forever :(
After DS3 and when it looked like the series was dead, I kinda lost my zeal for the franchise, until the remake was announced. I wasn't actually looking forward to it, but when the reviews came out, I had to admit it looked amazing. I'm playing it right now, and all I can say is it is one of the best game remakes I've ever played. I know the original game inside and out, I can go through the hardest difficulty blindfolded. All the little changes in the remake give me that amazing feeling again... how it felt playing Dead Space for the first time.
this video is amazing. i never thought i'd be this engrossed in dead space lore
Thank you so much! I had a ton of fun making this one, and I'm glad that it all came together nicely in the end
This was a very good cover of the story of the Aegis-7 colony, put everything together cohesively and was easy to follow. Also appreciated the little bits of flair you put in, great job dude! 👍
I'm glad this video exists.i had no idea lore extended into other media forms. Which is annoying when you want to know the sweet thick LORE
This is an awesome video! I'm in the middle of a Dead Space 2023 NG+ run . I had fond memories of the game and its lore, got instantly caught up when I started playing that updated version. I'm really happy to have stumbled upon your work. It got me captivated from the first minute to the last 😃
Time to check your other vids...
Xcellent job.
I LOVE these "summaries" of stories , Like THIS one.
it's Good, for those of us who aren't so Heavily Invested in a game franchise
I'm impressed how well edited this is.
wow, god damn, honestly this is almost like watvhing a movie the way you stitched this all together, watched the whole thing, can wait for the ishimura death toll.
The quality of this video is fucking ridiculous you’re criminally underrated
This is insane work being put together
This was an awesome video. I'm not even into Dead Space, but this lore video you made was so interesting and so well written. I was able to keep up with the story and I was hooked for the entire hour. I also loved the little inserts of memes and funny stuff. You killed it and I really hope to see more videos like this.
Thank you so much! And I'm definitely glad to hear it can be enjoyed by those not familiar with the series
