    Can we play with DDrum triggers on the TM-2 ?

    Can the rim and head have dedicated effect or its 1 effect for both rim and head?
    So for example rim has reverb and head has compressor?

    Hello! I have the Roland td 17 kvx and I have already made an extension to a third crash (crash 3) covering the AUX socket on the td17. i want to make another extension to a second floor tom (Tom 4) and that's why I got the roland tm 2 which has two triggers slots. can you tell me if the tm 2 can be connected to the td17 with a midi out cable or mix in cable so that I can save sounds from the td 17 to the tm 2? also sounds with the sd card can I add from td 17 to tm 2? is there another way I can save sounds via sd card from TD17 to tm 2? Thanks!

      the RT30HR provides head & rim trigger only so 2 zones/sounds possible..

    Is it possible to use sounds from EZdrummer 2 via sd card please? If yes,(using Roland RT 30 trigger series) can i still play ghost notes, accents..... as i can do with the TM-2 factory sounds? Thank you

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes. Any WAV files will work the same as the internal TM-2 sounds. Simply bounce the EZ drummer sounds down first. You can even connect the TM-2 with your V-Drums module to layer/play samples from it's pads...see blog here... www.rolandcorp.com.au/blog/how-to-add-samples-to-your-v-drums

    Hi how to change immediately the 19 kit to the dubstep donwload kit in the minute 5:20, i sow push + - button in the same time, can you explain me, thanks !!

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you hold shift then you can move 10 kits at a time. You can also re-order the kits by using kit copy or exchange in the Utility menu.

    Hi, I have a TM-2, what a great machine!, but I've trying to change the sound in the same pad but at different velocity just like Michael does at 02:55 in the video, but I didn't find the way to do that. Someone knows how to do it?

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Pablo, thanks for your question! To accomplish this, set two different sounds to the head and rim of the snare and set them to the same mute group. One or the other will then play when hit. They won't play simultaneously. Set the head sound to the snare and the rim to the backwards sound. Hard hits on the rim will then trigger the rim sound only. You can also find this information on Page 11 of the TM-2 Manual.

      Thanks!!, that’s a creative way to use some parameters. I’ll try and see what happens

    Can you create and store custom trigger configurations and then scroll among them? Like creating a custom kit and change it to another when a song changes. Thanks.

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +NoBullsh#tC#. yes. Net you can create custom kit patches of 4 different sounds per patch and just switch from one patch to another no problems. If you want to save different trigger types and system and patch configurations, you save these a system setups which you can quickly load at anytime between songs or gigs. These are saved to the memory card so you can take them with you and load into any TM2.

    Is he using BT-1 to hit the Guitar Player on the head (trigger the Guitar loops) at the end? Also as I understand there are only 2 Triggers with each having 2 sounds possible (Head + Rim). In this case he has one for Snare (Rim + Head) and other for Base. How is the BT-1 getting Triggered through the same TM-2. Finally, is there any easy way to move from one Loop to another within the same Song?

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think from memory we used input one for the dual snare trigger and then split the input 2 for kick and BT1.
      You can change patches mid song but there is a slight delay unlike with the SPDSX which is seamless. The best way could be to stay on the same patch number but assign different loops to different pads.

      If you need more than 1 trigger at a time, you need the TM-2

    hi Michael, great show ;)
    how you get these 4 triggersections into the tm-2? there are only 2 inputslots?? thanx d

    • @davids
      @davids 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are TRS (stereo) inputs. So If you have a split cable, you should be able to connect four pads!

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      correct. Simply use an insert cable which is TRS 1/4"stereo =>2x mono 1/4" TS

    Sounds great. Can you tell me what drumheads are used? - they seem to give low but natural acoustic sound, and do not look like mesh-heads.

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      they are just standard black acrylic heads. Not mesh.

    surely this man is the 'Flea' of the electronic drum world.. Just one point - multi layered samples. How many layers of sound can you have in terms of velocity based dynamics?

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the TM-2 has a single sample layer. The new SPD::ONE WAV PAD has up to three layers

    Mike, Love your videos, m8! can you post a video on how to get/load sounds to the tm2 with SD card??

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Santiago Martin thanks we'll pass-on to Michael. Check out his FB page and YT channel too. Basically, you just save audio files in WAV 44.1 16 bit. Drag them onto an SD card using a PC or MAC card reader and then assign them to triggers in the TM-2.

    Are these triggers compatible with the TD30 module?

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      absolutely yes! Simply choose the RT trigger type in the Trigger settings of the module. This is the same for the other TD modules even the older modules like the TD7/10/3/9/15 etc

    Can you run tracks with this?

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! Any stereo audio files can be played. You can trigger your own custom WAV sounds, loops, and backing tracks via an SDHC card.

    • @opiedrums6969
      @opiedrums6969 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roland_aus okay so there isn't like a time limit on a loop or track. So like a 4 minute song with pianos and sub drops will work if I load them up via an SD card and assign it to a trigger.

    • @roland_aus
      @roland_aus  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@opiedrums6969 There is no time limit to the tracks, only size limit on your SD card!
      You can put up to 300 WAV files on the SD card and trigger them full-length from the TM-2, you can find this and more info on page 10 of the manual.
