I don't think anyone could fake his peculiar and satisfyingly quirky personality for so long. Peter got me to start making art. I wish I could make doodles has as magical as his
Agreed...I hadn't been arting for years...kept buying art supplies and never really using them etc...this dude got me drawing every day now. His personality has a lot to do with it. I'm not good at all, but I'm drawing every day now and I see some improvement. Thanks Peter for being you!!!
@@cameronove same boat. I've has paints and supplies sitting around for years. I'm getting a little better. Trying to find my style. Trying to get a better grip on perspective. It's impressive how naturally Peter just lays down the lines somewhat randomly and ends up with gold.
Same he’s got me doing art daily... it’s a new itch I can’t relax until I create. The best description is I simultaneously crave visual food and accomplishment. I highly suggest annoying anyone you can ( inc Nan and friends) with your artwork even if it’s shit. It pushes you to try harder
i figure it might be difficult to get this by you otherwise, but i noticed something watching your videos on art reviews, specifically that you tend to favor not the imagery or the subject or themes of the work, (though sometimes you give way to the color variations themselves) but rather you seem to take the most pleasure from them from the perspective of the artist themselves, almost as if when you gaze at a painting or drawing, you imagine what it would have required for you to do the same thing, you also often mention loving to see the minute details of paintings, marks of the brush, linestrokes, you seem to derive the most pleasure when you and the artist align in a sort of tactile unity wherein you can both nod to each other as technique passes from one artist to another. it's quite a beautiful thing, not a way i had ever looked at visual art, but one i certainly identify with in literature. there is a similar texture in some literary creations that can be discerned, and it's quite poignant when one feels a resonance with a particular author's voice or technique or structure. anyway, thought you might enjoy pondering that if you were in the mood. always enjoy your vids, man.
Beautifully said. Nothing feels more satifisfying that than that nod you give to that person, weather it be in a book, an audiorecording, the way someone plays an instrument etc.
TL;DR: Peter likes to imagine the artisanal and technical merits of various art, not the meaning. A very good quality in an artist, as he derives joy from the act of making it, not necessarily the message.
I personally believe that the way Peter views art is how it should be. It's meant to be enjoyed, pondered, celebrated, and communal. Art is fundamentally meant to record something from our minds into a medium of some sort and then have people think and feel some kind of way about it. So it's great when we actually celebrate that feeling of connection.
Chanting, “More pen reviews, more pen reviews!” You have such a unique perspective on the world, multilayered like your sketches. Seemingly carefree and whimsical, only to be struck by your brilliance after the dust has settled. I enjoy your videos, and pen reviews. Thank you :)
My favourite of your videos are the ones where you show us your class projects. Secondary to them are the pen reviews. I don't even own a fountain pen, I use dip pens and fine liners, but I really enjoy watching you draw with each new pen and experiencing each new pen for the first time. I would watch many more of these videos.
Peter, I’ve noticed that you’ve been particularly whimsical in the last few videos, you seem especially happy 😃 I hope whatever is going well in your life continues!
I actually was watching ASMR videos when I found Peter's channel. I still watch his videos for ASMR purposes but also stayed for his art and personality.
Man, Peter really has made me grow a new found love for abstract art and pens. Well, back to abstract art, but geez, he just makes the process seem so elegant, and the end product is always so sleek. That plus the commentary makes this like the best art/pen channel ever
PLEASE review more pens! I love seeing how they work when drawing with them. Also I don't know if you have seen any but I've seen pen videos that are kinda like asmr, where it's just the sound of the pen on the paper? Maybe that would be a cool real time video for you to do.
Love your videos, especially when the feature Jesse! I am more of a fountain pen/calligraphy person, but I love art, including music, so I will enjoy whatever you make. Some of my favorite creators have what they call "variety channels." I think yours is best described as a "spontaneity channel."
Peter! Watching your drawings make me remind to draw again. My major is visual design and i've studied drawing too. But I've forgotten draw because of my busy job. Thank you so much. I could start to draw again because of your channel~

Dan doesn't have a bed in the fridge. I think this piccaso pen box could possibly make him a great place to recline and a little more comfortable with it's silk sheets. He might even get a partner? So lonely in that fridge.
Thank you Peter, and thank you, Jesse. After months of struggling my first true and good fountain pen will be the. Picasso. Red, silver and black, of course.
Glad you cleared up those questions we might have had about your choice of clothing. You answered every question I had and more. Thanks Peter you are so thoughtful..
Whatever videos you enjoy making are the ones I enjoy watching! I will say I really enjoy the reviews though. Very relaxed and interesting to see other pens!
I think in most states trains have to honk while going over roads. In some states you have to honk if a kid waves at you, I was told that was that was law but idk.
I love your pen reviews. Do more. but most importantly, do what you want. That's why we're all here. Doing what we want. Life should be simple, especially for a talented artist like you, Peter. Don't bother with the details. Just go with the flow of things. Your things.
Fun and interesting pens with basic review infos in a 15-20 min format. Add a great personality, doodling and random comments and you have a great formula!
Is it weird that I have never used a fountain pen, never plan on it either, but I watch all your videos? I guess I am here for your commentary and art, which are pure gold.
Love your drawing! It looks like the inside of your mind to me, scary but cool, and the top where you just drift off for a bit. Thanks again for your time to make these videos for us.
You should keep doing the fountain pen drawing reviews Peter, not a lot of artists are out there reviewing fountain pens, they're mainly all calligraphy people or people who journal with them. But I enjoy your input, because your art is fantastic and you add a unique perspective to how an artist might use the pen.
I have always used dip pens for inking, I switched to fine liners when I went to work for a specific graphic design firm, but I do enjoy your pen reviews. However I cannot stop thinking about no socks!!! Why do people not wear socks? Can anyone explain this? Socks keep your feet warm in the winter, less sweaty in the summer, provides cushioning for your feet! How come I can’t stop thinking about this? Well Peter, nice review, good pen, thanks for spending time with us, have a great day!
Fountain pens are my new fascination. Your channel is awesome. You have a fascinating and peculiar pronunciation of the letter 'W'... it was one of the first things I noticed apart from your hypnotic manner of speaking. God bless you.

The train is honking for Jesse. Thanks Jesse. You made a reason to review a pen.
Also, scarf before socks?!? You’re breaking boundaries there Peter...

Wouldn't it be great to meet him?
This channel is the textbook definition of “Unintentional ASMR”.
Cosmo Boissy IKR!
hahahahaha
It's his voice and the way he moves his hands.. Tingles galore lol
The train was awesome.
Peter is so Willy Wonka-esque with his mannerisms.
It think peter would have Willy wonka tilting his head like a dog
He acts like a tweaker.
You sort of remind me of Kirk from Gilmore Girls - Yes. That is a compliment.
as in, slightly creepy?
The is a willy Wonka in every major art. In drawing its Peter in music its jack white in the chocolate Business its willy wonka
"They always sounded like Legos... Because they were always Legos"
Damn I felt that.
Boy, what's wrong with Legos? I've been dreaming all my childhood to get as many Legos as I possibly can possess

That sneeze shocked me a little, I may have tried to dodge it...
Peter is like a cat, likes the box more than the contents within it.
"I really don't know what to do with sneezes anymore" - Peak Anti-Social.
It was adorable when he smiled and said thank you to the fan who made him a scarf.
