I don't comment often, but I would like to say, I love watching your videos because they make me feel very relaxed, cosy and removes my anxiety - the same effect that comes from a Bob Ross video. Thank you for that :)
Do you not like leftovers? Make a family size portion of soup, use a crock pot- make something you can eat for a few days! Put in whatever you want- veg, meat, pasta, grain. Potatoes are one of my favs- so many ways to cook up a bag of potatoes over a week! ...I say this as a single person who also has to make an effort to feed myself ^^
Just had some noodles for lunch. I love cooking but was feeling lazy today, so noodles it was. Even big TV networks need sponsored segments, Peter, no need to apologize for it. It helps pay the bills, while you keep us inspired and entertained, doing what you love. It's a win win win situation.
It genuinely brightens my day to turn on the computer with my morning coffee and see a new video from Peter. Your videos are great - not because of your editing, which is fine; not because of your set, which is adequate; and not even because of your art, which is still excellent. They are great because of you, just being you. And I think that's something you should be exceedingly proud of. You inspire so many of us. Thank you.
thanks for what you do peter. you put a lot of heart and a lot of honestly into your videos. i don’t watch many other art channels and the thing that keeps me here is the very genuine way you talk about life. thank you for that. please do whatever makes you happy and if this is a necessity for now i am glad. and if this becomes a sometimes hobby again in the future i am glad. 💕
Been subscribed to this man for 3 years. Its absolutely crazy looking at him then and now. I'm so happy I still enjoy his content and he's still making amazing content
Why does everything he says make sense? In my opinion the most down to earth person on TH-cam. Never change Peter. I couldn’t tell you the last time I drew something, I just find your content real with good vibes
I’ve been watching for years and I don’t mind sponsors at all. I’m sure all your hardcore fans just want to see be successful and not having to worry month to month about money lifts quite a burden. ♥️♥️
Your videos bring me a lot of comfort and uplift my mood when I'm feeling down, so waiting through a 1 minute sponsor isn't the end of the world. I don't judge you, you have to do what you have to do to survive, and when I was on my own I had weeks where I would order delivery food every day, and definitely had a few 2 times a day deliveries. Better off not doing that of course, but it's hard to motivate yourself when it's just you. Take care, Peter, I wish you all the best in life, see you in the next video.
Peter, you're like a modern Bob Ross and that's a compliment :D Thanks for grinding out these videos for us, I'm sure me and many others watching are thankful for you as well!
The sponsor portions of your videos are totally fine , they don’t bother me at all. We want you to be successful and happy man. I would love to hear you are making a fortune... you deserve it. Thanks for all you do!
I follow you since 80k subs more less, and i dont usually comment. I just enjoy your vids and the energy u give. I usually listen to u while i draw myself. Just draw and have fun Peter, I will do the same
I think it's great that you use sponsors if it benefits you AND you TRULY believe in the products/sponsors. Being genuine and believing in what you put energy into is so important. Love ya, Peter!
I was freaking out with the possibility that you would be quitting TH-cam. Take all the breaks you need but I'll be watching your videos even if there's only one a year. Stay happy 💕
Thank you for your honesty, I don’t mind that you have sponsors and I am grateful that you refuse to take sponsors from people who you don’t agree with or feel are dishonest. Peter please don’t lose your love of drawing. It’s because you love drawing that makes watching you draw so good. I'm sorry I don't comment very often but I do want you to know that I still watch after all these years and I still love everything you do. Thank you for encouraging me to draw and try new things. Your videos mean a great deal to me. I just started with you on Jump and I love it!
Peter, these are my favorite 2 papers. And you are a beautiful person, do what you want dude! I do not mind the sponsored segments at all! If they help you I am all for it! Be yourself, we love you!
Hey peter, I feel the exact same way about cooking. My solution is to cook a big batch of something I can freeze part of and just heat up when needed, so I only really have to cook once every week or two.
Yes. When I make a lasagna I have to freeze it. So much better and cheaper than store bought ones, and I control the ingredients. I will get a pizza once in a while, and that lasts me 4 days. A rotisserie chicken from Costco is so many meals for someone like me. The last one I got I made soup out of the last of it and still have 3 big things of frozen chicken noodle soup in the freezer, just in case I get the virus. I'll make a batch of rice and put it in a baggie and sometimes freeze it. then I just take out what I need to add to a soup, or heat up and put under some other sauce or chili, Especially brown rice. Brown rice takes longer to cook, so it's nice to have some ready to go. I do the same with pasta, cook more than I need and refrigerate the rest for fast food.
I live for email notifications that Peter has uploaded a new video. You have the amazingly calm peace about you which I love to see. It helps to bring balance and calm to my world. Keep doing you boo! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to provide content for us.
I'm in my 50's and i can tell you that getting a job is not the way forward if you have already got a launching platform that you have painstakingly built up over the years then it is a pity to just let it float slowly away when you are so close to being a millionaire. there are millions of designers and people working for other people you are working for your self and are already successful you have already got a degree in being well known on you tube you just keep expanding and don't stop until it gets crazy good keep going don't stop
It's very smart for you to have a plan B. There's a lot about youtube that you don't have control over. You may also get burnt out but be forced to continue if you dont have a plan B. If you get burnt out and are unable to take a break because its your job then your content can suffer and you could loose subs, views, and money. I applaud you for planning for your future. I love your content and your personality. As long as you keep uploading I'll keep watching. If you need a break dont be affraid of taking one. I know I'll still be here to watch, like, and share. Thanks for inspiring my creativity and brightening my day with your uploads.
Thank you too Peter for your time, for sharing and for your content. I'm sure where ever your future takes you, you'll always have people who enjoy you and your content here.
This channel is such a bright and warm little internet isle. Thanks for all your content Peter, I have spent many many hours listening and watching. Don’t sweat the sponsorship stuff, everyone knows you have to put food on the table somehow. It’s always pretty nonintrusive anyhow 👍
Me at the start of your drawing, “this doesn’t make any sense”. Me at the end of your drawing, “this still doesn’t make sense but I want it on my wall”. I can’t say why I love seeing your work, but it is amazing. Thanks for the videos.
You should never worry about doing sponsor segments. That's basic economics and you're not selling your soul by doing them. Your videos are great and we all hope you keep doing this forever. Rock on. (and iceberg lettuce is just fine too!)
i have been watching you for almost 4 years, maybe even 5, and i dont mind sponsored segments at all. i think people who regularly watch your videos do so because they value your videos and if sponsors help you we would be more than happy to know that you, the guy who brings valuable videos, is being helped.
Your sponsored segments are the best. You put that timer up and we can skip right on over them. As someone who listens to podcasts, damn, I never need to hear anything about Squarespace again, so I really appreciate that. Oh, and I'm a single guy that lives alone, and my favorite simple food to make is burritos. I fix up about 8 or 10 at a time, wrap em in foil, throw em in the fridge and eat them throughout the week. Makes packing my lunch super easy in the mornings before work.
Hi Peter, you mentioned commenting in the video, and i think this may be the first time ive ever commented on a youtube video - i just wanted to say that you have had such a huge influence on how i have learnt to express myself through drawing and writing and really, art of any kind. The message that you seem to radiate that there is no boundary that needs to be crossed in order to be hugely satisfied by what you produce, regardless of the medium or the method, is so empowering. You are truely a wonderful and inspirational human being that has found your way to impart such a wholesome and positive attitude in a world were sincerity and honesty are so valuable. Thats all, thank you Peter.
Hey Peter, this is 3 months late, and it’s likely that you won’t see it, but I’m commenting anyway. I would agree with the commenters here that your audience is here for you as much as for your content. I’m... working through a big loss in my personal life right now, and it’s sucking the joy and creativity out of me. Listening to you and your honest, personable, commentary is comforting. I wish you the best in both your artistic and professional/educational pursuits.
Hello Peter! Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina! First of all, thank you very much for all that you give to all of us viewers. I've been enjoying your videos for years now. Sometimes I listen while doodling my own stuff or while I have dinner, like tonight. I know it's been three year since you uploaded this video but I will answer what you've asked about food anyway. I prepared a big vegetable soup. Takes only 25 minutes to prepare/cook, because I buy pre-chopped vegetables and I add some more stuff like garlic, seasoning or something else. There are still five servings left that I will freeze for other meals. And I wanted to say that I also started studying for my degree as an adult for the same reasons as you. Well, that's all. Bye! :)
Just came across this video today. I have been following you for quite some time, but have been away from TH-cam for awhile, especially since Hurricane Laura. I watched one of your videos years ago about what to do when you don’t know what to draw or something like that. Anyway I did what you said and started drawing lines and curves or circles and it was amazing. I loved it and I just kept going, so thank you for that. I really came here to say that there is something about you and your videos that is compelling. I’m 71 years old and I find your videos very relaxing and inspiring - makes me want to go draw with my fountain pens. I have several of the platinum preppy fountain pens - $3.50/each with different nib sizes and lots of colors of J Herbin ink. Thank you for your videos!😊❤
I dont think ive ever commented. But ive been watcbing for quite a while now and whenever i get a notification that a videos posted, it's the first thing i do when i get home from work. Im literally watching this before installing the lift on my truck, and ive beem looking forward to doing that all day lol.
Peter, never feel guilty or bad about accepting sponsors, living isn't free, you've gotta pay bills and eat like the rest of us. We 100% understand and you shouldn't have to apologize for it. As long as you enjoy what you're doing then we will enjoy watching. Been watching since 2014 and have loved your content and you as a person ever since. We love you, and thank you for the years of entertainment. You know what they say, we came for the art, but we stayed for the Peter.
I really enjoy listening to your thoughts about work/life/job/everything. I'm in a similar boat - 5 years into doing streaming/art full time and I have this itch in the back of my head to get a good paying job so that I can return to making art purely in my free time/for fun... But I also love the freedom I have right now... it's exhausting though!
I know its been a couple of years now that I've been watching your videos but to be honest your one of the big reasons I got into drawing and now want to maybe venture into other mediums like spray painting and regular water or acrylic painting keep doing what you do and even if you do other things its nice to know you'll be doing what you like thanks again for all the inspiration you've given me and for the philosophical comments you give during your vids
Peter although I am new to your channel I love your content and personality. My mom and I were howling in laughter at your EveBot Printer Pen! We understand sponsorships and like other messages have said we are here and support you. I am also working on my education and am happy to be in the same boat of not knowing exactly what I want to do but expect it to unravel in time. Thanks you you and your efforts I have developed an interest and will try to get as good as you. Please do whatever you you feel is best we will be here for you. We love you too!
You gotta think forward and plan for the future but know this, I for one, will always watch your videos as long as they are available. Also your sponsored segments are the only “commercials” that are bearable to watch so I make sure never to skip them,I hope that helps. Enjoy your journey
It sounds like making videos as more of a hobby vs job would be good for both your sense of security and your enjoyment, and maybe creativity, so it sounds like a good choice! Plus it's always good to get out more and meet more people
You should try the platinum carbon ink pen. It's designed for drawing and yes this is the fountain pen for the carbon ink. I love it, hope you will try it once and you will like! Have a nice day, Kata!
It’s good to have a plan. I don’t mind the sponsor stuff or the ads at all, it’s such a small thing for us that makes a big difference for you. How awesome it could be to be an artist, an architect and a youtuber. As for food, roasted veggies and rice is easy and delicious and makes good leftovers. Some seasonings and olive oil on the chopped veggies and in the oven at 425 for about 30min. You’ll feel like a chef.
This might be an uncommon opinion: I genuinely enjoy your sponsored segments because it's another thing for you to talk calmly about, and talking about squarespace is not all that different from your meandering trains of thought. It's all good content, and if that extra minute of discussing your sponsor gives you substantial revenue, that's awesome. - I know this is an older video, but I just wanted to share that I think sponsored segments are neat.
Max and I have been watching for 4+ years since he was 3 and you are the best child-putter-to-sleeper fellow artist. I am more than happy to watch your sponsorship ads if they help you achieve a good/better quality of life and pay your bills! :) thecats

These videos are very satisfying im not sure why, but I often watch them before I go to bed and I feel very calm and relatable
"Today my name is Peter"
Tomorrow I will be Draws
Maybe he's an evil doppelgänger of Peter and just hid the real one for one day so he can make his dream come true: Being Peter for just one day.
@@myownlittlesheet4540 fuzzy haired Peter is locked in the basement
I watched this after taking a nap and I was well rested. My day has been made
Been subscribed to this man for 3 years. Its absolutely crazy looking at him then and now. I'm so happy I still enjoy his content and he's still making amazing content
How can someone dislike this calm doods video
Peter, you're like a modern Bob Ross and that's a compliment :D
Thanks for grinding out these videos for us, I'm sure me and many others watching are thankful for you as well!
Just draw and have fun Peter, I will do the same
Thanks Mateo
A Peter Draws upload day is always a good day. Keep up these fantastic videos Peter!
I hope you find success in your future and I hope your job is enjoyable you deserve happiness.
I just discovered your TH-cam channel and I can say after an intense day, listening to you and watching your channel has been so calming.
@@recoveringsoul755 thanks you for the advice mates, when I will live on my own, I'll remember it 😁
I live for email notifications that Peter has uploaded a new video.
I totally second that, as a 50yo artist trying to share and make a living of my art.
You've gotst it made/ you made it, yourself @peterdraws!
I'm sure where ever your future takes you, you'll always have people who enjoy you and your content here.
those first 59 seconds are worth my like already
This channel is such a bright and warm little internet isle. Thanks for all your content Peter, I have spent many many hours listening and watching. Don’t sweat the sponsorship stuff, everyone knows you have to put food on the table somehow. It’s always pretty nonintrusive anyhow 👍
It’s pronounced like tomo-ay and I’m pretty sure the mountain is supposed to be Mt Fuji
I only know this because Sekiro
I thought that’s how it was pronounced, but wasn’t sure
I love the care you put into selecting your sponsors. Keep doing you, Peter!
BEST INTRO EVER! i hate ads unless PeterDraws sings and plays them, then i LOVE them. Love you peter!
I appreciate these longer videos! Helps the work night go faster.
Me at the start of your drawing, “this doesn’t make any sense”. Me at the end of your drawing, “this still doesn’t make sense but I want it on my wall”. I can’t say why I love seeing your work, but it is amazing. Thanks for the videos.
Peter scribbles feverishly and calmly says “yeah, it’s working. Look at it go” lol
You should never worry about doing sponsor segments. That's basic economics and you're not selling your soul by doing them. Your videos are great and we all hope you keep doing this forever. Rock on. (and iceberg lettuce is just fine too!)
I don't know how you do it, but every time I watch one of your videos I always end up smileing. Thank you for just being you!
The paper company tomoe river is actually Japanese and is pronounced as (toe moe eh), or tomoegawa in Japanese :)
Correct :)
Im having a ham and bean stew to put over rice, just cook a bag of assorted beans with some cubed ham, throw it in a slow cooker if you got one
i have been watching you for almost 4 years, maybe even 5, and i dont mind sponsored segments at all. i think people who regularly watch your videos do so because they value your videos and if sponsors help you we would be more than happy to know that you, the guy who brings valuable videos, is being helped.
Hmm burritos do sound good
Wow this headless guy has a cool Sufjan Stevens shirt
That’s what I said
I'm happy you'll still be here Peter and I hope you can make this your hobby again to make it more enjoyable
Thank you for the comment!
Appreciate your honesty and willingness to be who you are. Love you Peter
this is my favourite channel on youtube. I always expect drawing when I click the video, but there is always something more than that.
Listening to this in 2021 I'm glad you're still on TH-cam. So honest and entertaining. Hope things are going well for you.
Do what really makes you happy Peter you can do anything you put your mind to
"I got got", is something that will keep my neurons occupied for a good 2, 3 minutes every time I recall it.
Well it’s good to hear from you. Good luck with the install!
This is by far one of my all time favourite channels/people on the world wide web.
Love you pete
I know its been a couple of years now that I've been watching your videos but to be honest your one of the big reasons I got into drawing and now want to maybe venture into other mediums like spray painting and regular water or acrylic painting keep doing what you do and even if you do other things its nice to know you'll be doing what you like thanks again for all the inspiration you've given me and for the philosophical comments you give during your vids
Didn’t think you could get any cooler, but the Sufjan shirt just set you over. Congrats, you’re the coolest guy.
Thank YOU, Peter, for sharing your talent here on the internets.
You gotta think forward and plan for the future but know this, I for one, will always watch your videos as long as they are available.
Also your sponsored segments are the only “commercials” that are bearable to watch so I make sure never to skip them,I hope that helps.
Enjoy your journey
Really must appreciate Peter's perspective on things. The clarity of it all is just lovely. It really must be a Tuesday
Happy Tuesday!
It sounds like making videos as more of a hobby vs job would be good for both your sense of security and your enjoyment, and maybe creativity, so it sounds like a good choice! Plus it's always good to get out more and meet more people
this reminds me of a blueprint for the bottom floor of a city in space or something lol ..... so awesome !
Peter I wish you the best luck with your future plans! I really love your channel, and looking forward to seeing it continue!
You the man Peter! Follow your dreams dude. It will all work out. I appreciate the little gifts you give on here so regularly. Makes my day. Thanks 🙏🏻
You should try the platinum carbon ink pen. It's designed for drawing and yes this is the fountain pen for the carbon ink. I love it, hope you will try it once and you will like!
Have a nice day,
Kata!
Peter, your review spots are great... I've learned a lot, and I wish you the very best as you move forward to any new phase of your life!
You’ll feel like a chef.
your art is beautiful and your voice is extremely soothing, whether you upload or not, we will always appreciate your content :D

hey peter, i just wanted to say that imo i encourage you to pursue an architecture or interior architecture degree. i ,being a recently graduate from architecture school, find that your doodles/sketches are really mature and really give out the architectural intellect of their owner. So really encourage what you're doing in school! btw i love your channel and it has inspired me and pushed me to discover new drawing styles and techniques!
Thanks!
This channel is a fresh breeze in this sea of sell-out, clickbaity content. Your likably weird personality make your videos very unique. I love your approach to making art and it often gives me motivation to create something.
Keep on doodling and being yourself, it never gets boring!
