      You had me at the Thumbnail. I grew up playing Dance Dance Revolution. My brother had it. When I was in middle school towards the end of gym class we would always play DDR. The line was always so long but as far as I remember I would always get my turn as well as everybody else. I was okay at playing. I would always play as beginner. I have rhythm. I guess a part of it is because I am fully Mexican. When I was younger I would get invited to parties. I'm a 30 year old female and I don't get invited anymore. I don't mind. I prefer being alone sometimes. I hope you all are well. Stay safe and be happy. 😄

      while my favorites remains D4DJ/Bang Dream...Mojo, you should really search youtube for Sound Vortex...I "tried" to play that last August and October in Japan...this is ADVANCE level...plus, there are wayyy more difficult and inventive games out there in japan, some that are still in arcades in japan like groove coaster

    It's more niche than any of those listed, but if you're already a fan of the Kingdom hearts series, Melody of memory is actually a pretty fun game. The controls are reasonably simple, there are multiple game modes in both single player and multiplayer, it adds to the Kingdom hearts lore while also giving a solid recap of the series so far, and if you have already played through the entire series, getting to play along with the songs from the games is a great way to trigger nostalgia and develop a deeper appreciation for the songs themselves.

    I remember playing DDR in college, I remember playing the arcade version and saving my scores to a memory card, and even the home console version was fun. Also Guitar Hero 3 and 4: world tour were really fun with friends, I remember playing custom songs! Too bad Activision killed the franchise with stupid DLC and limited the music sharing and some multiplayer features.

  • @qqquasar
    @qqquasar 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Rhythm game enthusiast here. My favorite rhythm game would be Pump It Up, which is the Korean equivalent to DDR, although without the Beatmania origins. That said, the true original rhythm game is Beatmania, as it came before DDR. Konami released a lot of rhythm games: Beatmania, Beatmania IIDX, Beatmania III, DDR, DrumMania & Guitar Freaks, Keyboard Mania, ParaParaParadise, Mambo a Go Go!, pop 'n music, jubeat, SoundVolteX, DanceManiaX... I'd like to think you didn't mention any of those because you were going to mention Konami anyway.
    So far, I have played the following games: Bust-a-Groove, Pump It Up, Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania IIDX, StepMania/In The Groove, O2Jam, Ez2Dancer, Ez2DJ, Taiko no Tatsujin, Project Diva, jubeat, Quaver, Dance Evolution, SoundVolteX, pop 'n music, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Re:Rave, Huan Wu Shi Ji and many others I do not exactly remember. If I were to mention the best games I've played within the genre, the top 3 would be Beatmania IIDX, Dance Dance Revolution and Pump It Up, in no particular order. The soundtrack of all Konami games is similar, what's different is the experience, and Pump It Up is there because the soundtrack is something fresh and somehow feels out of the box if we compare it to most rhythm games, considering that you can find some KPop - and the in-house artists have produced awesome tracks too, at least from 2008 on.

    • @ryanschroeder2956
      @ryanschroeder2956 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is because Pump it up was most people's introduction to KPOP and is known for the beethoven virus. Without Pump, there would be no hallyu, no gagnam style, girls generations, super junior, no buldak ramen, no kdramas such as squid game etc.

    I didn't play Dance Dance Revolution until I was in my teens. But I really gpt into it when I saw a freestyle competitor. Since then, I would play it at one of my local arcade places. As an adult, I haven't played it much anymore but if I see a machine then I'll play it. DDR Extreme is in my honest opinion the best game in the franchise. I've always preferred the Japanese versions over the localized ones. I also enjoy the Hatsune Miku Project DIVA games. Project DIVA f and f 2nd are PS3 exclusives, the PS4 had Project DIVA X and later Future Tone. Then it came out on the Nintendo Switch as Project DIVA MegaMix (Mega39s in Japan. Much later on, it came out on Steam as MegaMix+ or Mega39s+ in Japan

    The fact you put necro crypt, I feel you could have waited for the new one coming, cause Rift looks like the mix of these that we grew up with and I can't wait for it.
    Ok, this could be me, but Rock Band could have been not here since Guitar Hero is what made that so much. Since so many are missing, like Project Diva series as a good one, even if the arrows aren't stationary like DDRs. The other 2 could maybe not be since some were missing and I think Rhythm Heaven could have been here. And even the theatrhythm games are missing here...
