Subscribe to his channel. His videos are waaaay better than the ones the district had us watch. He saved my sanity getting ready for the school year.
I've used it with English Learners in 1st grade. They enjoy the click and drag features! For example, I draw a t-chart, add an image to each column, then scatter text boxes with terms to be dragged and sorted. Other times I use it to ellicit short responses. I have a picture of, say, a squirrel, and the students have to use sticky notes to write adjectives to describe it. My favorite part is that I can copy the same board on different pages, and have different groups work on their own board. This is very convenient because, at the end of the day, I can see the work of all the different sessions/periods I teach, and I can also move back and forth through the boards so students can compare their responses to those of other students.

Eric you have a gentle and friendly tone in your tutorials. Thank you for getting down to the basics to help users understand the how to in Google Meet. I rather though Google Meet update it's features and make it more user friendly like Zoom. It's not about copying or imitating Zoom but it's just so convenient to use Zoom while presenting screen or using the whiteboard. And not just doodling but typing text feature. These are so essential features that I think Google Meet should think of a way to integrate/introduce them.

I like using Google Slides with Meet. They’re easy to get in and out of, students can add on to them if you share, and you can easily write, draw or type on them live. Reminding me that Peardeck, if your school supports it, is a great question-posing tool in Slides - though I have not yet used it in Meet!

Hi Gwen. Like you, I LOVE the Jamboard features. However, all the love disappeared once I tried to present in Google Meet. Do you use Jamboard while presenting in Meet? I'm experiencing significant lag using the pen (mouse) with Jamboard in Meet. And it's MUCH worse with the Wacom Pen Tablet. Any suggestiions?

I use zoom and I, along with a lot of people, find it user-friendly, prsctical and much more useful than Google meet. I think that you should keep using ZOOM.

Joining the meeting with a second device (tablet + stylus) also works well. You can draw whatever you want into your favorite app (word, samsung notes etc.) and share your screen (make sure, sound is turned off). Big Bonus if your students use the same setup, so you can see immediately, what they are writing down.

Dear Mr. Curts: this video was amazing. I was previously using ZOOM which is much easier. But, this helps! Is there a way I can reverse imaging so when I read a story the words don't appear backwards?
