Viewing students in Google Meet while using PowerPoint

How to present a PPT in Google Meet and still see your students.
UPDATES:
- Start the ppt presentation BEFORE you share it in Meet. Then choose the present mode of PPT to share.
- Google Meet now allows up to 49 students per window. Therefore the Grid View (fix) extension is not needed anymore. You just have to click the 3 dots in the lower right, click change layout, choose tiled and slide the option to 49.

I had reviewed more than a dozen videos for Google Meet and yours is the only one that showed how to set up the Slide show type to show it as a window and not full screen. Is there a way to make the grid your students screen sharing instead of video? I need to teach employees how to use a program and it would be helpful to be able to present and see their screens to make sure they follow along with me.

Great info. When I present power point for some reason the next slide pops up as well and then it covers the meet...I am using two laptops as extended screen but still can’t find a solution. Any advice
