I discovered this channel 3 weeks ago I invested a total of 6 hours at the range during this time I am scoring gold at 40 m with a 68" 30# at 28" club bow samick sage type There are so many "experts" out there but this is a easy and effective method that really works and help me build the confidence to challenge myself into longer distances I wish I had known this before

Greetings Sambo and welcome to VOGTLAND OUTDOORS !
WONDERFUL TO HEAR FROM YOU - Comments like this make my week !
You're the reason this channel exists !
"GOLD at 40m" ? With an "ordinary" SAMICK SAGE ?
EXCELLENT WORK - they're great bows - all you need is a shooting method that makes sense !
      ;-)
      Glad you found me.
All I did was COMBINE 2 ALREADY-PROVEN shooting methods (Olympic Recurve Archery and Stringwalking) into a SINGLE method - it's like the "Reese's Peanut Butter Cup" of archery shooting methods ;-)
What continues to SURPRISE me is that only 2 people in 3 YEARS have claimed (as children in some long-distant corner of Australia - I'm not kidding!) to have seen this method before.
HOW can something that makes SO MUCH SENSE to literally EVERY person who sees it and tries it remain HIDDEN for this long?
      Me?
I'm utterly CONVINCED that indeed this method HAS been invented - maybe over & over & over - but each time it's been kept SECRET, like an incredibly important MILITARY SECRET; and because of this it's also been LOST over & over & over...
      ... until now.
      :-)
Glad you're enjoying it - I'm looking forward to hearing more from you !

    Hi Mark. Greetings from Indonesia.
I've been enjoying your string walking videos for the past 3 days. I recently acquired a used Junxing M183 compound bow which I intend to use as a barebow & I'm wondering how it's going to perform with the Vogtland method .
I must add that this is my first experience with a compound and 3 finger release. My archery experience has mostly been with Turkish & Korean horsebows with thumb release, shot from the RHSof the bow. I will try your method with the Junxing on the range soon.

Greetings Golok and welcome to VOGTLAND OUTDOORS !
You already know I LOVE JUXING bows - in fact I'm USING my 58# JUNXING F163 SUNDAY (tomorrow) In a CLOUT SHOOT - that's an ancient English traditional archery contest where we shoot at a target a whopping 180 yards (about 160 meters) away :-O, so I'm happy you've purchased a JUNXING compound bow - I'll bet it's FANTASTIC !
CAN you use the VOGTLAND SHOOTING METHOD on a COMPOUND BOW?
      YES !!!!!!
HERE are SEVERAL videos I've made on this very topic !

      @VOGTLANDOUTDOORS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Greetings Phillip and welcome to VOGTLAND OUTDOORS !
Do you mean the grip on my BOW, or my PHYSICAL GRIP?
Yes - I HAVE manually MODIFIED the physical grip on this bow, because it was ODD from the start !
But other than that, the WAY I "grip" the bow is quite typical for someone shooting a bow over 55# - you have to "push" the webbing of your hand through the grip and AT the target, otherwise if the SIDES of your hand start to grip such a TINY bow, you'll immediately notice that it starts to WOBBLE left-to-right in your hand :-O
If you watch any other TH-cam videos showing hunting archers shooting either this Darton Magnum SHORT recurve or even a BEAR KODIAK MAGNUM (also a VERY SHORT recurve) you'll notice these bows are practically CLONES of each other, and the GRIPPING METHOD used by all archers is the same - PUSH the "V" of your bow hand out TOWARS the target, trying to NOT grip the bow with the SIDES of your hands and certainly-not push on the riser with the PALM of your hand - that will start generating a LOT of WOBBLE !
KEEN OBVSERVATIONS on your part - glad you took so much interest in this video !
      Cheers,

    • @VOGTLANDOUTDOORS
      @VOGTLANDOUTDOORS  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Greetings TraditionalArchery007 and welcome (back?) to VOGTLAND OUTDOORS !
      Hmmm...
You said "...difficulty getting the correct ANCHOR at 55m" ??
      Your ANCHOR DOESN'T CHANGE from 10m to 20m to 30, 40, 50 and 55m, so something's amiss.
      :-?
Did you mean you're having "difficulty getting the correct GAP at 55m?
      (I think "yes")
Starting to see larger & larger errors at distances farther & farther away from 20m (where you use ONLY your 20m INITIAL "stringwalking gap") is a sign that there are ERRORS (even small ones) in BOTH your 20m INITIAL gap AND in your 10m INTERVAL gap.
For a 50m shot you'll use (start with) your 20m INITIAL gap only but ONCE, but if there IS any error in it, then that error WILL be present also at 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m, 55m and beyond; AND
You'll also use your 10m INTERVAL SEVERAL times - in fact 3 TIMES for a 50m shot, so if there's ANY error in your 10m INTERVAL gap, then this error will be ADDED 3 times when determining your 50m gap:
      - you start with your 20m INITIAL gap ONCE; then
      - you'll add your 10m INTERVAL gap 3 more times.
      BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD:
      1. SHOOT at 20m, adjusting the 20m INITIAL gap until you have a tight grouping at 20m of (say) teacup saucer sided.
      THEN
      2. SHOOT at 30m (20m INITIAL gap + 10m INTERVAL gap ONCE) and ADJUST your 10m INTERVAL GAP until your groups are tight again. .
      3. REPEAT for 40m and tell me what happens.
Waiting to hear from you soon !
