    Rob, your TH-cam videos are the only ones I keep watching over and over again. And every time, I gained deeper understanding of a good swing! Now am focusing on “square” and “compress” the ball with iron; and stopping raising my body during back swing on driver. And so happy to see many parts coming together, and am very grateful for your videos and coaching 👍

    Doesn't this make a lot of sense. At least let's give it a try. Robs previous video helped very much, and this could do the same. I never get tired of the instruction. It just frustrates me that it has taken so long to get to grips with a decent swing that I am now more confident with. I think that sticking with Rob is the best thing any of us could do if we want to play well. Thank you.

    You amaze me with your plethora of swing feels. I am only 3 weeks into this system but I previously played with Jimmy Ballard and Gravity Golf swings. I find this interesting because I “have” been instructed to use a closed stance and I AM sliding my hips to target on every shot to get that side tilt. I’m going to try this Rob because of your explanation. I think as long as I don’t sway to right on backswing, and let right shoulder move down, out and around it’ll change my downswing motion a bit by not sliding hips toward target first, too much, but it’s worth a try on range today!

    As a 72 year-old, lack of flexibility has become a major issue. Pulling my trail foot back and flaring it out has done wonders for my hip turn, and as a result, lengthened my swing. I use this stance with all clubs on full swings. The right shoulder concept/thought presented in this video is new to me and I think is brilliant and should improve my contact and follow through. I’ll keep coming back to this repeatedly for reinforcement. I can’t think of a better video anywhere that will help those of us who are seniors. Thank you, Rob, for everything you present on your channel.

    The last couple of years I had a very closed stance as you demonstrated. This year I made it less extreme but still closed & concentrated more on keeping my weight forward. Then I started to focus on keeping my left shoulder under my chin & having a slight pause at the top so I don't rush the downswing & early extend. The results this year have been stupendous. Your instruction has helped a lot Rob!

    Rob, your videos are always very well done and quite informative. And seem to hit me quite often as this one does. I need to get you some videos. I’m playing very well, shooting my age often, but my bad shots are a power shot dead straight but right, or a little low snapper to the left which seems to be a result of the hips being ahead of the shoulders. I know my path is too much from the inside. Thanks again for your work!

    Great question I’ve also pondered. For me, dropping the trail foot back in the transition/downswingit reminds me to keep the trail hip back and not thrust it at the ball-target line as in my longstanding over-the-top move. I try to use this on the tee box for my longer clubs. Certainly in my pre-shot swing. Also the longer the club the more I drop my trail foot at setup. So in essence I need both moves to help me.

  • @MarcusPearson-pi6uv
    @MarcusPearson-pi6uv 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    just back from a range session trying this - both just setting up with the right foot pulled back and also physically pushing the right foot backwards in the downswing/impact. Immediate improvement in strike, start line, reduced curve and certainly as a systemic "overdraw" sufferer it removed that - another bonus is that it removed my side bend tendency and even after 100 balls, I was having no issue with the back/hip problem that plagues me . What I did notice was that ball flight was also a lot higher than is normal for me, but distance was down, not too concerned as it was range balls and into wind - the only query I have is that Ive been working on applying more of a front posting move and with the feeling of sliding the trail foot back in the downswing I was struggling to exert the vertical force as previously. Is that to be expected or just teething troubles?

  • @209coach
    @209coach 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    On the follow through, when you mention that the right arm should be in line with the grid line, are you consciously using or making your right arm come in like that, or should the left arm pull allow that to occur. I can't seem to get my arms to finish low and to the left. Any suggestions? Thank you!
