    Capsazin is the only topical that worked to get rid of my sciatica pain. I applied a dime size on the pain location on my hip. Did not feel a tingle or anything. Several hours later during a brisk walk I began to sweat. YOUCH! Burn city. My skin burned and reddened but my sciatica pain went away. The skin pain did not last long and was worth it. What I learned: 1) apply with gloves on. 2) use the smallest amount possible. 3) it will not get hot unless your skin is wet. Do not use it immediately after a bath or shower. It will burn like fire. 4) Once it is on your skin, it is ON your skin for a long time. Removal is difficult. And it transfers to everything it touches. Showering won’t work. It will burn like hell when wet. I finally used wipes(using gloves). 5) if it transfers to your clothes, be prepared to feel the burn. 6) if you sweat even a little it will burn. 7) wash your clothing separate from everything multiple times. I still have feel that burn from clothing that I wore with one application that still has remnants of the cream. I only used this one time and have never felt sciatica pain since. My orthopedic surgeon highly recommends it. Just read the reviews on Amazon. It’s a great product but follow the directions printed INSIDE the box before applying.

    This definitely works for me and I have bone on bone arthritis in my right knee. It was originally prescribed by my GP in the Uk but now I buy it online. NSAIDs don’t always give me enough relief and this is great to top up the pain relief

    A cautionary tale: my rheumatologist recommended capzasin creme. If you choose to try it I recommend doing a skin test. I applied a dollop about the size of a penny to my inner elbow at bedtime. Hours later I was awakened feeling like my arm was over a flame. I had to get up and wash my arm. Needless to say, I never applied it to my knee that has OA.

    Use nitrile glove to apply. Be careful as even though lotion is seemingly absorbed, there is residue on skin that can cross contaminate clothing, bed linens, etc. if touched it can then get back on your hands which can then get back into eyes, etc if you are not careful. It does help with my arthritic knees.

      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey hsandeson2, efficacy varies from person to person as it does with all topical analgesics. There's no single cream that works for everyone. It's best to try a variety of many and see which few work best so you can keep those at home for when you need them.

    I have a question, is this better than Voltaren?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mirette, great question! It's hard to tell you because everyone responds differently to different medications and creams like this. You'll have to compare voltaren to capzasin to decide for yourself.
