    We often get asked about Blue-Emu oil in our clinic and online.
    Here are some of the most common questions people ask us:
    Is blue-emu oil any good for pain?
    What is blue-emu oil good for?
    Does blue emu oil help with arthritis?
    What does blue-emu oil help with?
    What are the side effects of blue-emu oil?
    Keep in mind that blue-emu oil is not a long term pain solution. It is intended to only give pain relief for the short term.
    🔬 Here are the research studies we found about emu oil:
    - Emu oil for osteoarthritic hand pain (2004) - vuir.vu.edu.au/869/
    -Improvement of bioavailability and anti-inflammaroty potential of curcumin in combination with emu oil (2014) - www.researchgate.net/profile/...
    -Anti-inflammatory activity of emu oil-based nanofibrous scaffold through downregulation of IL-1, IL-6, and TNF-ɑ pro-inflammatory cytokines (2019) - www.degruyter.com/document/do...

    Some 20 years ago, I was referred to it by a friend for my rotator cuff. I had hurt for weeks. Twenty minutes after I put it on, I did not hurt. It was almost imperceptible improvement.
    "Side Effect": It stains some cloth it touches bluish. I was warned, but forgot once.

    I have shoulder and left arm Legaments issues, and it almost instantly took it away. Now, it's a temporary relief to allow your issue to heal and not to continue like if nothing ever happened. Rest your issue, and don't irritate your problem.

    I've tried many blue emu reduces joint and muscle pain without the burn and stink of other brands. It works best for minor and moderate pain. For severe pain you need something stronger like a compounded prescription from the doctor. Thanks doctor for this no nonsense review.

    I have severe OA in my hands. I've had 4 surgeries. The first one, Rt. CMC arthroplasty (trapezium bone removed) failed, and in the past year, I've had 2 on my right hand to correct that and one on the left. There's not much OA in the remaining joints, but the tendonitis, etc., is brutal. A friend of mine turned me on to this Blue Emu last week, and it really helps knock the pain down quite quickly. I turned 60 a few months ago and have had more surgeries due to sports injuries over the years. I wish I had heard about this a long time ago. It's better than popping Ibuprphen and/or acetaminophen all the time. A good diet - no processed 'foods', no added sugar(s) (esp. HFC), and strength training is also very important for healing and keeping chronic pain under control.

      Indeed. I just got some on a recommendation, and it didn't even cross my mind. I'm not too concerned about it going rancid as much as losing potency. If it was 'off' I'm sure one could catch a wiff when opening. Nonetheless, good idea.

      @@epmanualphysicaltherapy We only have one worse bird here in Australia (much better looking, and a toss up which is bigger) but can have a very aggressive attitude when looking after chicks .... Cassowary ... I was kind of wondering how they farm Emu's, and where, just to make oil products from... In Australia we don't eat Emu's (that I know of) but have Kangaroo and Crocodile meat in our supermarkets...

    I have a tub of this and find it doesn't work on its own. I use it occasionally as a carrier lotion for Biofreeze or something else. I think it helps the other product to penetrate quicker and more effectively.

  • @tropicalsun07
    @tropicalsun07 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Emu oil penetrate through skin very quick. So it is a great carrier oil and let other ingredients sink into the tissue better and quicker. I mix emu oil with Saronpas gel (this is the only thing that works for me) and massage into the area. You can use whatever works for you and add little emu oil to it.

    What type of therapy do you recommend for metatarsal pain in one foot? Do you recommend metatarsal pads?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey 1hogbyte, sorry to hear that you've got metatarsal pain :-(
      Metatarsal pads can help for some people, but they are a short term solution. You could have a stuck joint in your foot- that would have to be examined and treated by a specialist. You might also benefit from strengthening your toe muscles. It usually helps with metatarsal pain. Check out this video on how to do that:

    As another post says, it worked for a time but too expensive. I stepped up my OTC to Aspercreme with lidocaine but first and foremost, CBD oils and cremes, NO THC in them. That has really worked and of course doc's videos on how to relieve knee pain. Tylenol Arthritis 8 Hour Relief (I think that's the one) helps also if you have OA in your knees, I use that too as needed. It's always the weather I have to fight with the OA pain but can't control that.
    Thanks for the review doc, see you again 😊

      @KATHTRY CLARK Thank you. I know Aspirin is still the miracle drug for a variety of reasons, but Acetaminophen 8 hr. has become the miracle drug for me w/r/t my bone-on-bone hip. Or maybe I should just say what my millennial son would: "It's the bomb!!"
      My doctor says to limit Ibuprofen because it can raise blood pressure, but as to Acetaminophen: "Have at it!"

      You're welcome Connie! Yes, you're right, there is no magic potion! But these pain creams like Blue Emu might help avoid becoming reliant on prescription pain medications. They also have less side effects and dangers than treatments like injections. Thank you for the Penetrex and Arnica recommendation! We'll pass that over to Dr. David to see if he can review those.

    Which product should I buy on Amazon to help heal sprained ankle ?

    • @stringlarson1247
      @stringlarson1247 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There's no 'product' that will help heal a sprain. R.I.C.E - Rest Ice Compression Elevation. And then PT excercises specific to the ankle and slowly building up strength. I'd go have a good Orthopedic surgeon evaluate the 'sprain'. It's common parlance to say 'I sprained my ankle' as if it where no big deal. There's a good article from Havard Med. "Recovering from an ankle sprain" that explains the various levels of sprains. Your comment is 11 mos. old, hopefully, you are back to normal. If not, have it checked. There are a lot of good resources on line for specific excercises and/or working with a PT to target the ankle(s). The problem with mild sprains if left alone, is that while they will 'heal', there is an inreased probability of recurrence. HTH.

    6 or 7 years ago I started using this stuff for about a year and while it seemed to work in the beginning it's effectiveness waned over time. Back then that jar he's holding was $35 at Walgreen's so I'm sure it's way more expensive now but even at $35, in my opinion it's just not worth the price. Aspercreme with lidocaine is way less expensive and considerably more consistent at relieving pain. I've used it for years on my hands and feet at night before I go to bed and enjoy a pain free night's sleep and even continue to be pain free the next day and can sometimes skip using it at night. Having said that, OTC remedies are always hit and miss, it's all down to body chemistry, what works for some will not be effective at all for someone else. The same way someone else's prescription may be dangerous for you even though you have the same ailment. 😁🖖

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey WTF, you're right this works for some but not for others. Some people have reactions to lidocaine in Apsercreme so this can be a great alternative for them. Also the numbing feeling might not be tolerable for some people.
