This video was EXTREMELY helpful! Though I don't play DCS (I have it) and have been mainly in MSFS 2020, I have now felt the need to get some pedals. Looking around I realized that the cheap ones just aren't worth it. And I hate "buying twice". So, I'm settling on these so far. I'm going to wait though until the sim convention in Vegas in hopes that I can get them there at some crazy discount since that's usually how sales go down at conventions like this. Again, thanks so much for your detailed and fair review. Cheers!!!
I’m loving mine. The only criticism I have is the ball bearings. I wish they did enclosed ball bearings instead of the exposed kind they used. I can see them needing cleaning and lubrication down the road.
I have the Winwing Rudder pedals and they are very easy to setup and they are by far the best pedals I ever bought. I am so happy I can switch to helicopter mode in 5 seconds. Please note I started with the cheap thrustmaster plastic cheap pedals. So I only owned 2 pedals all together. When he says full metal build he really means that lol.
It's been great to see the expansion of companies making quality flight sim hardware. 30 years ago it was exciting just to see a new joystick come out... My first rudder pedals were DYI in 2006 with a cheap joystick mounted to plywood and connected to a swivel bar; y axis mapped to the rudder. Worked with xplane :)
I have 2 high end rudder sets already and am not "fully" happy. T rudder pedals are ok but the short throw make it that you need a good amount of tuning to make them less sensitive in center and no toe brakes. Crosswinds and I just never liked em at all but they had simple non prgressive brake pedals. These are so dam tempting at the price of around $380.00 US dollars shipped....and they ship right here from New Jersey which is another huge plus for me.
Winwing is definatly taking over the market tho, now they're setting up workshops in continents making shipping cheaper but when I first brought a product, 10 minutes after unboxing it I brought something else, top quality
I agree with you 100% regarding the TPR pedals, Thrustmaster is long overdue for some upgrades to the pedals and they are overpriced. I have been using the TPR rudders for a while and ordered the Winwing pedals today, Anyway thanks for the review.
Big up for at least doing one potentiometer switch out. Many things are still repairable nowadays but we're trained to just buy new units. Btw you're correct re: hall effect: it's magnetic so no contact 👌. Same for joysticks in RC flying so I'm assuming your joysticks too.
I finally pulled the trigger on these, hopefully they show up before the Kiowa is released!!! I wonder if WinWing takes direct deposit? And if they will make a CH-47 collective!
i am just getting into FLight sim ( racing is been my love ) and i purchased the Logitech/Saitek Pro Rudder pedals and io am really on the fence on just pulling the trigger and getting the winwing ones..
+GrimReapersAtomic *The ORION Metal Rudder Pedals kit approaches the yaw input mechanism o' modern combat jets.* Bugeye® comes even closer, as they've the inside track on Federal-Aviation-Administration-rated simulators both fixed- and rotary-wing.
I have interceptors and you can't go wrong with them. These winwings have a built in damper and you can get that on the Virpil's but it is an add on (or a mod if you diy). The virpils have adjustable cams and springs too so you can switch in/out if you like centering detents or not.
Off topic but I did not know where to go to suggest a simulation. I saw a news story today of Russia planning to build a military base near the Golon heights and they have been flying patrols near the Isreali border. How about an incursion between Russia and Isreal

We're all glad it helped @LokIDWolf

@@0QualityOverQuantity lol touche. Oops
Cheers, I've got my eye on a set for Star Citizen.

Thanks, Kelso. Great review - I can't afford but something I would aspire to.
You're welcome Trev 😃
Thanks Cap, Kelso, & Skil. Placed my order yesterday. Anyone interested in a lightly used VKB Set, LOL
Thank you Chef.....and....ahhh, no. 😂

The free shipping and stock availability makes Winwing a winner imo. I’m not going to wait 3 months and then pay 100$ for the competition

Definitely a good video and good rudder pedals!
Thank you, 😃
Great video!
Any more details on how you mounted the pedals to the Wheel Stand Pro? Did you drill additional holes in the feet plate?
So are these the Orion flight rudder pedals on the WinWing store? They do not appear to have anything listed as Skywalker
Let me double check.
Yup that's the one I have.
Try looking for rudder peddles

It only cost me $15 for 3 new pots BUT like I said after a few months they went again, just can't deal with repairing them every time they break.

If I didn't have Virpil Ace pedals I would definitely buy these. Winwing products are great quality.

*Addition:* The twist grip on roll-pitch columns I'd use for yaw trim (e.g. fin incidence). The rudder pedals I hold as more instinctual.
Noice Vid Guyz!! ;)😎
Thanks Ello 👍
How does it feel for helicopters?
Great
I've barely touched helos with them sorry. I'll ask the boys.
Kelso: I switched from a Thrustmaster TPR to the Winwing rudder, because it's that good for helicopters
@@grimreapers Nothing to be sorry for. It is a great video! Thank you for the in-depth review and sharing!
This, or the Virpil ACE Interceptor Pedals for MSFS2020? I'd like something that I can use for both fixed wing and helicopters...

'if'.............................. you can get a hold of them.
" ..before you plug in the rudders ". Whoops.

Wow, you'd think Russia had enough to be getting on with??
damn i have the winwing ones they are great but very expensive XD
Cringe trend but first :D
Sigh I just want mission content on advertisement
