Imagine all the software changes required to support the ship changes! New weight, new avionics, redundancy for the Starlink terminals, sensors for the flow on the new downcomers, just... mind blowing. Incredible that they turn it all around so quickly.
Another fabulous episode, Marcus! I enjoyed the deep dive into Starship 2 and the animations are world class. Give my best to the team and have a Happy New Year! 2025 is going to a CRAZY year for us space nerds!
I love how they have baffles on the downcomer pipes to help with main tank sloshing that likely also serve as a form of structural integrity for the pipes themselves. Just the practice of SpaceX engineering where they try to combine or eliminate parts altogether is beautiful.
Yeah, space X eliminating the need for a proper flame trench was brilliant as flight 1 abley demonstrated as it eliminated a good portion of Texas under that silly orbital launch mount
Hey hey 👋 One of my Xmas presents was the Stardesk Starship model. Soon to be shown off on every Microsoft Teams call alongside the Lego SLS and Space Shuttle, all thanks to this channel 😁 Keep up the cracking work into 2025 and beyond Marcus, much love and happy new year 🎉
Amazing update on starship changes. You do a great great job bringing the information to us each week…….definitely the standard for space news on SpaceX 0:02 development. Thank you and your crew.
Hello Marcus, it would be nice, for you too show some interest of Gilmore space, eris launch rocket. I enjoy viewing you're information updates each week.
Great video as usual! Merry Christmas and good luck to you in Australia and your support roles around the world! Looking forward to both the next flight with New Glenn flight7 and Rocket labs Neutron rocket. Have a great weekend from Sweden!
My supervisor at work believes the Earth is flat and that there is more evidence of this than it being a sphere. I can't help but think of this lunacy while I watch my weekly Marcus house. I just want to clockworks orange him and show him these videos until he believes.
if your your Neuralink can connect you to your Tesla and your Tesla can connect to star link giving you unlimited bandwidth for calling, texting and watching TH-cam videos ect. will that make cell phones obsolete?
Very uplifting and inspirational Marcus and Team. Just like Elon wanted Starship to be! Thank you so much for your productions. Happy New Year my friend! 🤩🥳🥳
As much as Jeff bezos has ruffled feathers over and over I do hope that he is finally getting this rocket to work! 👍🏻 And also I wanted to wish you a prosperous and happy NEW YEAR! 🎉
Star booster needs to have landing legs, currently the chopsticks are a work around for testing purposes, but as the last booster attempted landing showed, a side wind cancels a chop stick landing and that is not good enough and Starship can't work without legs, in most scenarios.
The last booster catch was cancelled due to damage to the launch tower from the boosters engines, not a side wind, unless more information came out that I don’t know about.
Main issue with landing legs is long time for logistics. It's not puny Falcon. It is 9 Meter wide. To transport it from production to launchpad you need close whole road. Landing on launchpad is the solution.

This has to be the best year in space flight. Since Apollo 14
Watch out for 2025!
There’s stuff here that even a Starship nut like me didn’t know.
Oh, working with Nick was essential on that. There were parts of the internals I didn't understand until we all wrote it together.

Ship evolution is awesome to watch. Thanks Marcus and team!

Thanks very much Marcus love your work and looking forward to seeing your inputs every Saturday, top quality ❤
Beautiful ending ❤
Brilliant wrap for the year ! So well done...
Congrats to Jeff Bezos and his Statue. Looks like it might be an actual flying rocket
haha what i said on the nsf livestream yesterday
If it doesn't go boom I shall be disappointed.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A big thank you again for a well documented and informative video. Always a pleasure to watch such a gem
Fantastic video, thanks
Excellent overview!
The "V" in V2 does not stand for "version" though!
It stands for "Vergeltungswaffe" or in English "Revenge-Weapon".
German !
Yes, I know that, but when we say V2 talking about a rocket, peoples mind jumps to the V2 rocket.
@@MarcusHouse Ah ok understanding your point now =) Thx for clarification.
Thanks Marcus and team, happy New Year!
Hey hey!
Hey hey Marcus. Thanks for all the great videos this year. Happy New Year!
Amazing update on starship changes. You do a great great job bringing the information to us each week…….definitely the standard for space news on SpaceX 0:02 development. Thank you and your crew.
Seasons Greetings Marcus. See you in 2025.
Catch you next year! 🤩
Thanks!
Wow! Thanks very much, Happy New Year! 🤩
Thanks Marcus, these videos have become a fixture in the Saturday morning routine for me. Love it.
Cheers mate! Another good one. 👍🏾
It's great that Starship is not the first shot for once. Go New Glenn!
Great overview of the changes thank you
V2 is where it all starts isn’t it?
16:10 could this be catering for near future planned ship to ship refueling test? Extra fuel for small ship to ship fuel tests?
Awesome Content!!!
Thanks Marcus. Every Saturday my highlight of the day! :-)
Thank you Marcus, for a great show all year I hope that you had a great Aussie Christmas and that next year will be even better, cheers mate
Happy Merry Everything, Everywhere, All at Once Marcus 💛 from Cape Town 🇿🇦 thank you for all your coverage in 2024 🤗
hey hey its saturday...wheres ozzie?
Thank you Marcus for these terrific videos. Keep up the great work
Thanks for everything you and the team provide for us all year long.
😊 nice info, great work ....😊
Happy New Year, Marcus! 🎉 2024 was great. I'm looking forward to your work in 2025 💪
There will be also less actuation events needed. Imagine this as airellons on dart how it would impact trajectory if put on front
See ya in the new year, thanks for all your hard work. Here's to hoping its an amazing year for space, science and health development 🖖🏽

Good morning happy new year everyone
HEY HEY
🎉Hey Hey🎉
Drink every time you see an arrow appear on screen 🍻😀
I guess I’ll set a watch later for New Years eve
18minutes watched and hick. I’m wasted. 😂
It's too early for that
So when is flight seven?
I viewed mid January
This is a great question, given it was implied to be revealed in the title
Jan 10th. It was shown quite early in the video.
I'm wondering how the offset front flaps will affect flight during the first 2 minutes?
Having the clamp points more towards center will make the ship really top heavy when loaded with satellites no?
Could the larger ratio of Methane to Oxygen be in preparation for active heatshield cooling?
You do good work. Thank you. May good fortune, happiness, and prosperity pursue you relentlessly in the new year!

Fantastic thank you Marcus for all the work you' and the team have done over 2024 cant wait for 2025 👍🖖
Hi
Absolutely love your videos, but please for the love of god don’t go woke!
Very uplifting and inspirational Marcus and Team. Just like Elon wanted Starship to be! Thank you so much for your productions. Happy New Year my friend! 🤩🥳🥳
Wow, thank you!
Can some one tell me, are they using raptor 2's on the block 2 or is it raptor 1?
Raptor 2s.
2
Raptor2 is used on the block2
As much as Jeff bezos has ruffled feathers over and over I do hope that he is finally getting this rocket to work! 👍🏻
And also I wanted to wish you a prosperous and happy NEW YEAR!
🎉
I so want Elon to say on X:
"SpaceX just completed the V2 rocket.
Don't worry this one isn't for London.
Yet."
🤣That would be soo him
Block 2 ship nobody calls it v2
Maybe thy can almost get a whole bunch of bannans into orbit this time
What a year it's been
Certainly been a blast. .lol
Great final video
Thank you MH +Team for the upload
See you in 2025
Hey Hey 👍🚀👩🚀
thumbs down for your support for dictators and billionaires

It is absolutely not a work around. The chopsticks aren’t going anywhere. Also wind was not the issue in the last attempt
The last booster catch was cancelled due to damage to the launch tower from the boosters engines, not a side wind, unless more information came out that I don’t know about.
Naw. There was one, and only one, landing. Not just "attempted" but _successful._
Main issue with landing legs is long time for logistics. It's not puny Falcon. It is 9 Meter wide. To transport it from production to launchpad you need close whole road. Landing on launchpad is the solution.
It will only need some for landing on the Moon , Mars, etc, which is a long way off.
stand by for another pathetic failure from rocket man
🤮
He took the money from NASA by lying and he didnt delivered anything. At this speed NASA will spend trillions and will reach the moon in 100 years. 😂
